SATURDAY 11TH APRIL @ 6PM - VIRTUAL SKEGNESS
linky replied to BSCDA PR's topic in Essential Information
Well done guys, another entertaining evening. without doubt the best tar racing I have seen in a few years. -
Thanks to Andy and Jon. Really enjoyed the interview. interested to hear Andy views on one car for both surfaces and a number of other issues. Have to say I agree with pretty much everything he said.

Thanks Roy, Sadly I only ever managed to get to Nelson once. My dad took me for my birthday. All I can really remember was the strange sight of cars being in the pits across the road from the stadium and having to be waved across the street to race. It wouldn’t be allowed now.... maybe the current online race meetings could visit Nelson. A square track would produce some action.

How many views did the stream get Jordan?. Well do to all involved. There were some minor technical glitches but nothing significant. -
Great entertainment. Window Boy and ECL did a fantastic job. Thanks to all involved in bringing it to us isolated armchair fans. Bonus for the night is that there is no 4 hour drive home.
-
Nigel banned for driving round the wall. Fastest I have seen him go for ages.
-
What a beautiful vehicle. You must have felt like royalty going round in that. Just righ to get a mini in the back.... thanks for sharing your pictures Roy

Great stories Graham. Thanks for sharing. i really enjoyed the book as well.

A great explanation of the historic mining in Swaledale. We live in Richmond and often take drives up the dale just exploring the back lanes and tracks often coming across relic mining sites together with the occasional village pub....There are a lot of examples and your detailed explanation has helped me understand the history of it all a lot better. thanks for all your articles over the winter. It takes a lot of effort to bring this to us and is a highlight of a very quiet winter Stoxnet.

Its got me from a possible no to a probable. Never seen the loons at Sheffield so as long as its dry will take a trip down. Well done Startrax for the recent pit space work. Hope we can also have some back straight terrace open this year?? even if just for the drivers and mechs standpoint. They deserve a good view of the racing aswell.

OFF TRACK: SMALL TALK WITH FINN & MARK SARGENT (526 & 326)

Great interview with the guys. Two real characters of the sport. Hope ECL and little ECL have a great season. -
Thanks Roy. The pictures are great. Speaky scar is stunning, along with Moodies. Is Speaky just racing at Skegness and presumably a limited number of tarmac qualifiers?. Looks like a great turnout of F1 heritage. The Yarrow team have done a great job on The Willie Harrison replica. Looks like a muted attendance from Current F1 cars and it’s a shame that more wasn’t able to be made of this opportunity. Didn’t see any superstar drivers. Shame that the Ryan tar car or Harris tar car couldn’t be in attendance. May be the absence of F1 in the demo arena is caused by H&S regulations?

LIVE FROM THE WORKSHOP WITH 512 MICHAEL STEWARD.4.1.2020

Great interviews Bryan. It’s nice to see Bezz still around the sport. In my view probably one of the best drivers never to wear the gold roof. His comments about the relative costs of competing at top level in the 80’s/90’s compared to today are very relevant. Derek’s comments were very honest and interesting. Hopefully the people in power take note of both guys. Something has to change. It would be great to have more of the older drivers interviewed if possible. Would love to see one with Wolfe. -
Great to see the off season gallery back up and running. Always interesting posts from Roy’s travels. I never knew any of the bunkers next to Buxton existed. We always come in from the other side and perhaps you can’t see them from the track?. Really interesting article Roy. Looking forward to the forthcoming pictures and stories of your travels. Now, what chance we can put a stand over some bunkers down the back straight in 2021?.

Well done BSCDA and all who agreed to be interviewed. Looking forward to tuning in.

Belle Vue Results- Sunday 10th November 2019
linky replied to calamity507's topic in Essential Information
The results team provide a terrific service which is greatly appreciated by myself and hundreds of other stox fans both at and away from the meetings. Many thanks from me for this season and i hope you all have a relaxing closed season and come back refreshed for more of the same next year -
Great booking list, weather dry and should be plenty of action on track amongst the shootout contenders. This could be your last chance to go to Belle Vue. Get yourself there if you can !!

Tend to agree Bryan. Regardless of numbers (and we have enough for two decent heats), we will be there to enjoy the last ever Stoke.
