Thanks for posting and to Nigel and Jake for the insight into the new car. it really looks like Jake means business this year and with the new car has all the gear to race with the best. I look forward to seeing it all done in the next few months and to team Harrhy getting a second red roof to hang on the wall.

Not sure about Mudford. It seems like more luck than skill. You can be taken out by a flying car at any moment. I like the Kingston oval. Track not too wide, killer inner kerb and plenty of close action. Are there any more ovals you don't use in the game?

Thanks Paul, Did you annoy the blue car in the final?
-
Thanks Paul The meeting Final was brutal, everyone going at it hammer and tongs. I thought your first lap in the British had won you the race but alas, the pack crept up on you and after you went over the ridge it was all over.
-
Thanks Paul, I think that track is my favourite. Great final. More action than a Skegness weekender in one race!
-
Thanks Paul, hard luck in that GN.

Mudford......what a......great track. Imagine old Sunny on a bad day but with more bumps. not a bad meeting there Paul. You did well. I think anyone needs an element of luck there with cars bouncing Infront of you and coming over the mound. It’s a battle to survive 15 clean laps. The wall of death ride in the GN was good but after that it seemed to go Pete Tong. Do you set up the car for each track or is it standard settings for every driver?

Thanks Paul. A bit of action in that final for you ! Good drive in the GN to come back from the back.

Three meetings inside a week.....Not seen since the seventies. Will give this a go, its has been quite entertaining so far. Thanks Paul

Thanks Paul, Great entertainment. As usual at a WF meeting the big race was perhaps the one with the least action. It takes a lot of skill to make up even 3 or 4 seconds on a big track like that. Best race was the one after the WF. Some great action. White top 161 proved best value entertainer. I think you may have got a bit flustered by him when you put him in the wall....

Thanks Paul, I will tune in at 7:30. Good luck !!

Fully agree Robbo. The reason why it is not working is that a significant minority of people do not follow the guidance. By not following guidance they are putting other people’s lives at risk not theirs. its about time guidance became law and those that don’t follow it had severe penalties. I am sick of people complaining that there rights are being restricted whilst we are looking at potentially 4000 deaths per day over Christmas. -

I can’t see this meeting being on. We will be in lockdown by the middle of next week. The regional policy is clearly not working and the government can’t allow the NHS to be overwhelmed, which is a clear possibility with the current trend. -
Off Track: Pit Access at King's Lynn (Round 9 of The Chase 2020)

Great interview. Well done to Sarge for having a go. It is uncharacteristic but the guy has a chance of winning. It’s stock car racing and is what fans go to see. Maybe it will put a few more on the gate next time. -
Sheffield cancelled. The Chase Finale moved to King's Lynn

How disappointing for Steve. The fact that you can have 380 people inside but none outside just flies in the face of common on sense, but sadly so many other things don't seem to make sense nowadays. Its good that TSR have stepped in to allow the meeting to be staged but one wonders if fans are getting a little tired of the road to Kings Lynn this year? I hope Steve gets some better news soon. -
Looking very thin on the ground and probably straight races. surprised that Matt and his band of hire cars are not there? in fairness the weather forecast may have scared a few off especially up at Buxton.

I don't see why there should a minimum entry for F1. All tracks have different overheads and attract different crowd levels. It must surely be up to each promoter to work out his costs for running a meeting and charge entry based on cost plus profit?? its then up to the customer if he wants to pay the entry fee. Is this part of the image F1 like to portray about being the ultimate oval formula so fans pay for the premium brand??? It may also be to avoid individual promoters undercutting each other on price. Imagine if the supermarkets all charged then same. There would be a riot.

Gatherings of 6 or more not permitted. This affects family and friends, but I can't see any mention of stopping stadium sports like ours unless it is in the fine print. It would be typical of this government to stop your kids seeing their granny but allowing a car load of fans to travel from Bolton to KL where they stand amongst 1200 other people?? Perhaps things will become clearer when further guidance is issued? -
Frank said last week that he probably wouldn’t be racing. Tar car in bits and Phoebe not fussed. must be the first Wainman free meeting in years.

Hi Nige, Excuse my lack of technical knowledge, but why do the bumpers become illegal when you change the tyres? Is this something to do with your shale car set up that is unique to you. Can't imagine people who use one car for both changing bumpers every meeting. It would certainly seem better to have common set up rules applicable to both surfaces to maximise car turnout as you have been saying for years. This will not stop people having two cars, but at least will encourage those with one car to venture out on both surfaces.

This last series of interviews has been brilliant. Some great stories from the drivers and a real insight into their careers. The whole series has been very professional and they will be missed over the summer. Thank you to everyone involved in bringing these to us. i am pleased you haven’t forgotten about Sir John and look forward to an interview in the future.

OFF TRACK: LOCKDOWN WITH STUART SMITH JNR (390) PART 1
linky replied to BSCDA's topic in Essential Information
Thank you Jonathan and Stuart. Another great interview and I am looking forward to part 2 next week. This interview series has been cracking. It’s not often we get to hear the drivers at length and the stories and their personalities come across really well. The interview style is relaxed and questions interesting. Well done. Hope that we can have some more later in the year. With E racing and interviews off air it’s going to be a long summer.
