  5. Big thanks for all the results and updates. I took my phone to the beach so I could keep up with what was going on.
  6. He raced shale when he had his own car, so it won't be his first time on the loose.
  7. Two heats of 17 plus a 24 car semi? Or.... a W&Y race to begin, then run the Semi first as a standalone race, and then 2 heats, cons, final, and GN.
  8. Press release from BSCDA A NIGHT OF GOLD AND SILVER F1 STOCK CAR ACTION IN STORE AT SKEGNESS The atmosphere will be electric at Skegness Raceway tomorrow night as 24 cars line up for the first World Championship semi-final. The meeting is the first time since the last meeting at Coventry last November where both the gold and silver roof will be seen in action, as Rob Speak makes a dramatic return to the track. How will he approach the race? "I'm going out there to have some fun," he says. "I've got nothing to lose." And while Speak goes for gold, he will at the end of the season relinquish the silver roof he won last year after a dramatic Shootout finale at Belle Vue in November. But the Skegness meeting tomorrow also gives fans the first opportunity to see all 12 contenders for this year's shootout for the Mintex National Points Championship battling for supremacy. After the World semi-final is won and lost the rest of the meeting will act as a dress rehearsal for the opening shootout round at Birmingham on August 26. The 12 drivers going for silver this year are: 1 Frankie Wainman Jnr 445 Nigel Green 390 Stuart Smith Jnr 16 Mat Newson 212 Danny Wainman 84 Tom Harris 55 Craig Finnikin 4 Dan Johnson 217 Lee Fairhurst 464 Luke Davidson 197 Ryan Harrison 422 Ben Riley (his first time in the shootout). The 2017 F1 stock car season has just stepped up a gear...

The BIG one everyone has been counting the days down 'all season' at Loomer Road, the BriSCA Formula One Stock Car World Championship Semi Final - and WHAT a grid! The firepower is awesome with BriSCA's finest in the top four rows! How much bigger could it be with a front row boasting popular Chesterfield Superstar Dan Johnson in pole with Danny Wainman on the outside, not a favourite spot going into turn one as 'brother' and reigning World Champion Frankie Wainman Jnr lines up on row two inside and arch villain for many - and another former World Champion Tom Harris outside row 2. Row 3 sees a very useful Paul Hines from Leicestershire inside and alongside Mr Box Office Sworder having it all to do after a lengthy shale lay off due to engine issues. On four is Cheshire's Luke Davidson whose tarmac orientation has seen a burst of form of late however he had a familiarisation outing at King's Lynn a few weeks ago on shale and acquitted himself well. Rotherham's Mark Gilbank is a 'thoroughbred' of an F1 Stock Car drivers who is reknown for taking no prisoners and on five we have Lancashire's quietly consistent Will Hunter joined by the ebullient Mancunian Scott Davids who currently races as part of the Mat Newson team and has recently burst into form - and that's just the first 5 rows out of 12 highlighted! Chesterton which has been around since 1973 is one of BriSCA's more basic venues and it's real charm really is it's 1970's 'proper' stock car feel where the track is quite literally the star and stage for the ultimate in action! Complimenting the programme are BriSCA F2 Stock Cars who are always popular at Stoke and such as interest, the bookings full sign was up almost a month before the event with a literal who's who of the sport on show as many clamber for some shale experience before the forthcoming World's and gives a nationwide feel to the entry. BriSCA F1 Stock Cars enjoy a full support programme and last but not least we have the ever popular action lacked national Ministox! This really could prove to be 'the' stock car meeting of it's era at Stoke, let's pray for decent weather to ensure the very best but we run come rain or shine! BriSCA F1 Bookings will be published Tuesday 8th August

  22. It's actually race a on the Trackstar website but I can't cope with such a numbering system so changed it to 0 which, in my mind, is more logical. I'm afraid it's the old "pre-meeting" nonsense again. The first race is before the meeting actually starts. That's why I put "first race" and not "start time" in these previews on here and other social media.
