CAN THEY STOP HIM? 390 Stuart Smith will enter this Saturday's F1 Stock Car National Series Round with a massive 60 point lead. The last Lynn meeting saw Smith take a heat and final double - if he manages that again on Saturday the rest of his competitors might as well send him a congratulations card for winning the silver roof! The Lynn National Series round has always been pivotal to the whole competition. If 390 scores a hatfull of points on Saturday history dictates the silver will probably be his - if someone steps up and takes him on they could have built the foundations for a late silver roof challenge! What will happen? There is only one way to find out!!

Thank you to everyone that has put themselves forward. The window for nominations is now closed. I will create a poll containing the nominees and their own words about why you should vote for them. This will be at the weekend, or sooner, depending on when receive their input. Each member will have three votes to use as they see fit. Either vote for three different candidates, or vote for the same candidate 3 times if you prefer, or any combination in between - it's entirely up to you. The poll will run until 27th October, after which the 3 candidates with the highest votes will become the fan representatives. -

From BriSCA: Thank you to everyone for the responses to the proposal for a Q & A initiative. There was quite a few substantive 'comments' in the feedback. As this was proposed by myself to be 'handled' through Stoxnet firstly in delegating 3 members to undertake the forum, thought needs to be given on the 'next step' to make it productive and POSITIVE. BriSCA/BMB/BSCDA meet at the end of the month and this is very much on the Agenda and a date of 15th November has been 'pencilled in' for the forum. Over the next few weeks and in time for the BMB meeting it would be useful if firstly the 3 proposed contributors are formalised and then someone 'summarises' the positive points raised and 'sent over' for some prior discussion. We then will need to discuss prior to the event the 'structure' to ensure it is harmonious, constructive, positive and useful and we all agree protocols to ensure it is informative and not become either personalised of go 'off piste' Steve Rees -

Well, this morning I was in two minds about scrapping this thread and starting again, as I don't think it shows the sport or Stoxnet itself in a particularly good light. Had to raise a smile at this from Startrax, though... Belle Vue - Sunday 8th October 4.pm In light of a reported outbreak of social media 'foot and mouth' elsewhere, there is actually BriSCA F1 Stock Cars in action this Sunday at Manchester's Belle Vue Stadium, under the CovStox banner - helping our colleagues out from Coventry whilst they find a new arena. It's an extra' F1 date for the North West and a Shoot Out round et - al. As of this morning 29 F1s are entered plus 24 V8 Hot Stox and the awesome National Ministox. As usual gates open 2.30.pm and FREE car parking as usual is available on Showcase which we do try to monitor. Proceedings will start with a welcome for the World Champions at 3.30.pm It's BriSCA F1 Stock Car Racing with the top stars in Shoot Out action, give the lads your support. BriSCA F2 racer Stephen Mallinson is moving into the big league for a couple of meetings this season and makes his F1 debut at local track Belle Vue this Sunday. Stephen has been racing for many years, spending several successful seasons behind the wheel of a Rebel Racer before moving into the F2s. Highly successful on the shale Stephen will be looking forward to stepping out onto the Manchester oval this Sunday.

I think you might be in luck......

This Sunday sees the CovStox team on tour for Round 3 of their 2017 events. Belle Vue is the stage ready and prepared for the BriSCA F1 National Points Shoot Out Round 5 sponsored by RBM. Leading the pack in the silver chase is local racer Stuart Smith 390. He was on stunning form at Belle Vue for Round 2 where he cruised around to take the Final victory, will we see a repeat performance on Sunday? He is currently 52 points ahead of second place man Frankie Wainman 515. The British Champion will be pumped and determined to c lose that gap and is no stranger to tasting victory around the Manchester oval. It’s far from a two horse race though as Daniel Wainman, Lee Fairhurst, Mat Newson and World Champ Nigel Green will be determined to stop the top two stealing the glory whilst the Flying Finn will be in stealth mode and ready to pounce after his final win last week at Sheffield. Throw in the remainder of the Shoot Out racers and of course all the non silver chasers and we are in for a night of action. Joining the F1s are the V8 Hotstox and National Ministox both of which were competing for their gold roofs at Buxton a couple of weeks ago. We are delighted to see the World Champions from all three formulas at Belle Vue and they will be ready to show off their silverware in front of the crowd as we will have a World Champion parade to kick start the meeting at 3.30pm Advance tickets are available from www.coventrystoxtickets.com/new_event Turnstiles open at 2.30pm World Champions Parade from 3.30pm Racing from 4pm
