From Skegness Stadium We look forward to our first Speedweekend of the year, and welcome back to three stock car formulas of Brisca F1, Brisca F2 and National Mini Stox. A welcome back to the big league of F1 Stock Cars with visitors from Holland booked in its all adding up to be a fantastic two days. Saturday night is a WCQF for the Brisca F1’s and Sunday the UK Championship which started in 1990 and is in its 28th year, with 22 of these Championships being held at Skegness, the current holder 126 Harry Steward who was only 17yrs old when he won it last year. With the addition of young drivers this year, the title could quite easily go to another youngster. Currently 65 cars are booked to race. The races on Sunday qualify for the UK Championship which will be run in graded order. The UK is sponsored by “The Kaleta Family” long standing members of the Skeggy officials team Eddie, Helen, and Richard. Mini Stox are back again after a successful Easter meeting and the UK Open Championship trophy will be awarded to the winner of the main event on Sunday. Brisca F2’s stock cars are here also for their first Speedweekend at Skeggy. Note; Please don’t bring in large quantities of food & drink, we do not object to a small amount, but we will be doing bag checks and will not allow large quantities to be brought in to the Stadium Arena. We know you will fully co-operate. Our new Panorama Raceview Bar will be open for business, with either heating or air con whichever might be required !!!! , with a late bar & DJ on as usual to party the night away. (you are not allowed to bring food or drink into the bars) The new access from the pits to the arena will be in place, Drivers are reminded that they & their free admission have to go the new pit office to sign in & for issue of wristbands, (They must go with the driver to be eligible). All other persons to pay at the turnstiles. There will be paid for practice from 1.30pm until 4.30pm, and free practice from 5pm until 5.30pm at a cost of £20 per driver Car parking for this event in in the usual car parks Camping, caravans, motorhomes are only allowed to stay over on Saturday night and this is all through the back gate into the farmers field, £20 per unit, sorry but there is no camping, caravan’s or motorhomes allowed to stay on the carpark overnight. All spectators from the camping area then go to the turnstile to pay for general admission wristband for the two day events. We appreciate your patience while our continued improvements to the Stadium facilities are carried out. There are bars & catering on site and a large covered Grandstand if the weather is a bit iffy, where you can see all of the racing at all times. We have the Brisca F1 Championship of the World on 14th & 15th Sept, and an equally important big Banger event on Sunday 17th June, Unlimited Bangers Pre 85 Team Championships.
