  5. It's Sheffield, it's BriSCA Stock Car Racing and the Gadiators return to one of the sports best appointed stadiums and one of Europes' fastest shale ovals that delivers, usually racing not for the faint hearted and the adrenalin buzz and atmospher as those cars step out sideways exiting turn four into the home straight, which makes your hair stand on end! The roar of unlimited horsepower V8 American muscle and atmosphere has to be witnessed 'live' and the full contact action of these gladiators in full contact high speed action. Sheffield welcomes the National Series this Sunday with a a great BriSCA double header for BriSCA F1 and F2 Stock Car Racing thriller with vital points at stake in the coveted race for the Silver roof. An eleven race programme is planned - with 6 for BriSCA F1 and a White & Yellow Race planned as the opener followed by good grids of cars with a two thirds format hopefully building up to a great climax. The main F1 Shoot out protagonists are on the grid and with the points wildly swinging during the first 3 rounds, Sheffield could be pivotal. Currently 33 BriSCA F1 Stock Cars are entered as of Wednesday 3rd October. BriSCA F2 wise, Scotland's Gordon Moodie will be looking to continue his calculated form as he takes steps towards retaining the silver roof and trying to continue to widen the gap between his main rivals Chris Burgoyne and Kelvyn Marshall and avoid the nail biter and last ditch battle he was involved in last November - again, Sheffield is pivotal with rounds still to go in that journey. Again, BriSCA F2 entries as of Wednesday are 33 ensuring a busy pit area. They also have the Sheffield White & Yellow Championship opening their proceedings followed by a 2/3rds format. Time is running out to secure the best tables in the raceview restaurant and enjoy an exclusive afternoon in air conditioned comfort. Sunday Carvery just £9.95 - reserve your table now to avoid possible disapointment on the day! Advance restaurant bookings should be made direct with the stadium on 0114 2343074 weekdays 9 - 5.pm
  6. Just 19 points seperate the top 3 BriSCA F1 Suprstars after one of the most competitive starts to the race for the silver roof! Only 44 points separate the top 5 and Round 4 gets ready to rumble at Owlerton Stadium Sheffield next Sunday when the gladiators next meet - will it be a Wainman battle with Danny heading the charts entering this weekend and after another shake up brother Frankie now leads by a slender margin with World Champion Stuart Smith and Mat Newson breathing down FWJ’s exhaust! Not to be missed, the season finale in South Yorkshire, superb facilities plus the intrigue of the BriSCA F2 National Series - Sunday 7th October at 12.30pm! Updates to follow

  13. I think the main reason is the fixture list. Ten meetings are needed between the World Final weekend and the end of the season. This year there are only ten anyway, so by default those ten are the Shoot Out rounds.
