Heat Two Happenings The action starts with 312 having a wild ride across the homestraight taking 326, 43 and 36 with him. Just as this is happening 211, 124, 127 and 492 have a big tangle up in turn 2. 595 and 422 lead off after the caution. 48, 464, 197 and 16 circulate as a fast moving train. 48 catches and passes 422, with 464 doing likewise. A great finish is set up as the one to go board comes out. 197 takes a swipe at 464's right corner entering turn 1. Luke is slow down the backstraight and 16 comes steaming in with a super hit and takes 48, 422 and 464 in one go as they enter turn 3. Luke ends up weaving backwards down the homestraight but fails to cross the line being left broadside across the track.

Heat One Happenings 128 leads them away as 326 and 175 hook up entering the homestraight. 515 puts a hit in on 166, as 1 then does likewise to 515. It takes the 1 car a couple of laps to get past the Evans twins before shortly after losing speed and pulling off. The stationary 451 car gets collected in turn 4 after 20 punts a car wide. 8 heads the field following the caution with 300 in 2nd. 515 moves 392 aside with a big'un into turn 3 near race end.

Morning folks. The sun is high in the sky and it's a glorious day here. Pre-meeting pit news 191 - The team still trying a few tweaks to the braking system. The car isn't consistent on the brakes at the moment. 295 - Lee on hand welding the front right corner. 20 - Porta power on the front right. 401 - The team are replacing the right side nerf rail. Other than routine maintenance it's a relaxed atmosphere with the teams catching a few rays. Info on 464's non-finish in last night's Final was down to a break in the ignition wiring.

Catherine tries to return the compliment but 555 gets in the way. She bounces off his rear corner and clouts the turn 3 plate. Nobody can catch the Flying Finn however who is long gone up front.

Both 464 and 20 are towed to the centre. 422 and 8 lead off at the restart. Soon after Ben is away and gone. 16, 259 and 212 engage in a multi-lap battle. 515 arrives and disposes of 16 and 212. 212 spins 8 in turn three with 5 to go. A number of big hits follow: 381 into 518, 212 into 16, and 295 into the stationary 8 car. 16 back ahead of 212 gets the big one with a combined hit from 381 into 212. Danny leans on 381 and pushes him over to the inside as they go down the backstraight for the last time.

Heat Two Happenings 524 takes an early lead from the front. 526 and 8 lap in close formation. 464 puts a hit in on 392 entering turn three. 217 pulls off early on. 8 and 212 have a good battle for a couple of laps. Likewise with 422 and 48 until Ben breaks clear and heads for victory. With 5 to go 8 gets a left rear flat entering the homestraight which sends Catherine on a wayward trajectory. Phoebe briefly tangles with the 8 but squeeze through.

Heat One Splashings Following the monsoon 346 set off into a lead he wasn't to lose. 515 and 166 engaged in a multi lap duel until Frank pulled clear. 312 had a trip up the marker tyres in the entrance to turn one but kept it right side up.

Two more not racing today: Craig Utley - Engine not running right after his big acrobatics into turn one last night. Joe Nickolls - The 242 car a bit worse for wear after his turn 1 incident. Steering column broken, front axle bent back, and an ignition problem. Joe himself has a few aches but otherwise ok 👍
-
Pre-meeting news Tom Harris not racing today. Upon investigating yesterday's engine problem the team discovered a hole in the timing chain cover. Something has picked up within the engine and come through. Another with engine woes is Karl Hawkins. It was running hot last night so Karl's not risking it today. Stuart Shevill Jnr is changing gears as the car is not quick enough down the long Buxton straights.

GN Notes A fast and furious one. 392, 191 and 242 pile up into turn one. 120 hits the stationary 242 bringing out the caution. 515 going through the field with some hard hits on his fellow stars. 212 has tremendous speed though and disposes of both 217 and 515. 8 has set sail at the front and claims her second victory of the meeting. 217 takes 16 on the last bend with a well timed hit. Back tomorrow for more 👍

Final Focus 2 and 191 clash on the first lap. 73 and 346 do likewise exiting turn four and remain stationary. 217 and 212 put hits in on 464 on consecutive laps. 212 then takes on 217. 526 away up front with 8 some way back in 2nd. 175 comes up to engage 8 in a short battle before taking the position. 515 executes a last bender on 8 which sees Catherine lose speed coming out of the corner.
-
Consolation Catchup A bit quiet this one. 73, 346 and 518 set off at a rate of knots. 526 leads off after a caution as 464 puts a hit in on 321 and 259. 217 forces his way through the flying 'A' graders and sets sail to catch and pass Finn for the victory.

Heat Two Happenings 515 and 16 begin a race long duel. 464, 217 and 242 tangle down the homestraight with Luke ending up travelling sideways across the track. Only 217 continues. 47 holds his own amongst the reds. 526 pulls off with a flat right rear. 48 and 211 tangle exiting turn two with both having a wild ride. 312 leads off after a caution with 48 following. 515 takes 2nd from 48 with a lap to go, but the Flying Coalman has a big enough lead to claim the victory. After i've reviewed video evidence of the 484 incident into turn one during Heat 1 it was a flat right rear that set him on his wild ride.

Happenings from High Edge Heat 1: 259 pulls off on lap one. 166 rides up the back of 20 which loses them both time. 2 and 392 make an early break from the reds. Following a caution period 484 misjudges the entry to turn one and launches himself in spectacular fashion off the inner marker tyres. 8 has now got a good lead with Tom in 2nd. With a couple of laps to go the 1 car starts putting smoke out so backs off slightly. Catherine claims her maiden victory ahead of her brother.
