  1. GN Notes 512 leads the pack away. 259 pulls off before the start. 392 takes a shot at 464 into turn three. 48 gone up front to an eventual victory. 16 and 212 continue their duel through the mid-race period. 515 chases down 392 who pulls off with a flat left rear with 3 to go. Karl gave the 175 car a run over these last two races to see how hot the engine got. Not too bad was his verdict. That's it folks from me. Back from Skeggy. Pics in the gallery from Tues evening 👍
  2. Final Focus 128 leads off the field and spins off entering the homestraight on the opening lap. 312 and 361 lock together coming out of turn two. 20 hits the 361 car and a caution is called. 464 and 512 end up stranded in turn three as the yellow waves. Both 464 and 20 are towed to the centre. 422 and 8 lead off at the restart. Soon after Ben is away and gone. 16, 259 and 212 engage in a multi-lap battle. 515 arrives and disposes of 16 and 212. 212 spins 8 in turn three with 5 to go. A number of big hits follow: 381 into 518, 212 into 16, and 295 into the stationary 8 car. 16 back ahead of 212 gets the big one with a combined hit from 381 into 212. Danny leans on 381 and pushes him over to the inside as they go down the backstraight for the last time.
  3. Heat Two Happenings 524 takes an early lead from the front. 526 and 8 lap in close formation. 464 puts a hit in on 392 entering turn three. 217 pulls off early on. 8 and 212 have a good battle for a couple of laps. Likewise with 422 and 48 until Ben breaks clear and heads for victory. With 5 to go 8 gets a left rear flat entering the homestraight which sends Catherine on a wayward trajectory. Phoebe briefly tangles with the 8 but squeeze through.
  4. Heat One Splashings Following the monsoon 346 set off into a lead he wasn't to lose. 515 and 166 engaged in a multi lap duel until Frank pulled clear. 312 had a trip up the marker tyres in the entrance to turn one but kept it right side up.
  5. Two more not racing today: Craig Utley - Engine not running right after his big acrobatics into turn one last night. Joe Nickolls - The 242 car a bit worse for wear after his turn 1 incident. Steering column broken, front axle bent back, and an ignition problem. Joe himself has a few aches but otherwise ok 👍
  6. Pre-meeting news Tom Harris not racing today. Upon investigating yesterday's engine problem the team discovered a hole in the timing chain cover. Something has picked up within the engine and come through. Another with engine woes is Karl Hawkins. It was running hot last night so Karl's not risking it today. Stuart Shevill Jnr is changing gears as the car is not quick enough down the long Buxton straights.
  7. GN Notes A fast and furious one. 392, 191 and 242 pile up into turn one. 120 hits the stationary 242 bringing out the caution. 515 going through the field with some hard hits on his fellow stars. 212 has tremendous speed though and disposes of both 217 and 515. 8 has set sail at the front and claims her second victory of the meeting. 217 takes 16 on the last bend with a well timed hit. Back tomorrow for more 👍
  8. Final Focus 2 and 191 clash on the first lap. 73 and 346 do likewise exiting turn four and remain stationary. 217 and 212 put hits in on 464 on consecutive laps. 212 then takes on 217. 526 away up front with 8 some way back in 2nd. 175 comes up to engage 8 in a short battle before taking the position. 515 executes a last bender on 8 which sees Catherine lose speed coming out of the corner.
  9. Consolation Catchup A bit quiet this one. 73, 346 and 518 set off at a rate of knots. 526 leads off after a caution as 464 puts a hit in on 321 and 259. 217 forces his way through the flying 'A' graders and sets sail to catch and pass Finn for the victory.
  10. Heat Two Happenings 515 and 16 begin a race long duel. 464, 217 and 242 tangle down the homestraight with Luke ending up travelling sideways across the track. Only 217 continues. 47 holds his own amongst the reds. 526 pulls off with a flat right rear. 48 and 211 tangle exiting turn two with both having a wild ride. 312 leads off after a caution with 48 following. 515 takes 2nd from 48 with a lap to go, but the Flying Coalman has a big enough lead to claim the victory. After i've reviewed video evidence of the 484 incident into turn one during Heat 1 it was a flat right rear that set him on his wild ride.
  11. Happenings from High Edge Heat 1: 259 pulls off on lap one. 166 rides up the back of 20 which loses them both time. 2 and 392 make an early break from the reds. Following a caution period 484 misjudges the entry to turn one and launches himself in spectacular fashion off the inner marker tyres. 8 has now got a good lead with Tom in 2nd. With a couple of laps to go the 1 car starts putting smoke out so backs off slightly. Catherine claims her maiden victory ahead of her brother.
  12. Pics now in the gallery. Many thanks to Riggerman for the supply 👍
  13. Many thanks to you both from Crimond. I'll be back with you from Buxton next week.
  14. I'm not there today Jane. Hope all goes smoothly for you two amigos 🏁
  15. GN Notes 555 spins on first lap which involves and delays 515. The early laps sees 217 and 1 coming through the field. 1 hits 166 into turn one then half spins entering the back straight which sees Bobby, 16 and 217 back past. The Hitman lives up to his name with some no nonsense moves on 16 and 217 in the closing laps. The last lap sees 166 and 16 lock together just before taking the flag on the startline. The next meetings i'm doing are the F2 Qualifiers from St.Day/Taunton and Crimond/Cowdie so i'll be back from Buxton 👍
  16. Final Focus 197 spins off the front off 16 as they enter the homestraight on the first lap. 1 bounces off the turn two plating but carries on undamaged. 166 pulls a wheelie off an infield marker tyre. 217 hits the turn two fence after getting shoved wide by 1. 216 and 22 away up front. 249 puts up resistance against the World Champ as he comes through the field. 197 and 53 clash on the back straight, with John also tangling with 555 on the homestraight pulling off with a flat right rear shortly after.
  17. Consolation Catch Up 53 and 276 go for the same piece of track on the first lap which delays them both. 87 makes plentiful use of the front bumper. 321 and 166 coming through the field at a rate of knots but unable to catch 544. A steady drive from King John after the first lap skirmish.
  18. Heat Two Happenings 515 and 217 have a coming together down the homestraight in the early laps. 515 leans on 53 and pushes King John wide. 446 tangles with 53 a lap later entering the home straight which causes a flat rear right for John. 515 pulls off at turn three. Long time leader 276 out with a flat front right. 217 is slowed by a wayward 544 which lets 326 and 259 back in front. 166 out with a flat front right. Lee regains the top spot with ease.
  19. Heat One Happenings An early coming together between 1 and 16 entering the back straight sees Tom take a wayward line down the straight. A lot of cars sliding wide into the turn three plating. 595 ends up with the front right wheel hooked over the back straight fence. 22, 197 and 1 head the field. Ryan makes a move into turn one with 2 to go, with Tom following on.
  20. I have a ticket to sell for June 13th Sheffield meeting. £20 and it's yours.
  21. GN Notes 25 receives a big'un from 259. 166 v 212, and 518 v 2 engage in combat. 166 then becomes involved with 20 and ends up coming down the homestraight sideways with 20 pushing into turn one. A race long dice between 1 and 515 further down the field was a joy to watch with first one then the other in front. Good clean racing between them with just enough bumperwork to keep close. Back from Odsal 👍
  22. Update on 4 Dan's decided not to come out for the GN. The car would not be at its best in the circumstances.
  23. Final Focus A 464, 212 and 4 set to starts off proceedings. 73 and 43 locked together on the home straight. 166, 197 and 4, and 515, 1, 217 and 212 having two battles through the field. 1 hits 4 into 392 in turn two. 242 having a good drive through the blues. 5 passes long time leader 47 on a restart. 70 fires 19 into turn 3 which ends up with Jon riding up on top of 345. The next instalment of the 1 v 4 conflict continues with Tom firing in Dan at turn 3. Both cars damaged, but Dan's more so. The 4 team race to repair the damage to both front and rear for the rematch in the GN.
  24. Consolation Catch Up 484 flies straight in with a big shove and comes out the other side with a flat left rear. 178 and 300 tangle on the homestraight with 178's left engine bay panel ending up on track. 518 out with a flat left rear. 219 using the front end to good effect with hits on 20, 70 and 220.
