  3. GN Notes 73 and 289 tangle in turn three. 5, 2, 124, 463, 21, 20 and 496 all pile in bringing out the caution. The restart sees 169 lead off. 345 pulls off soon after. 326 and 555 lock together on the home straight. 45 and 124 do likewise in turn 3. The remaining laps see some great dicing between 55 and 1 who trade places lap on lap. Up front 525 sets up a last bender on race leader 169 which results in them tangling entering the home straight with Billy ending up on his roof just before the line and Nigel facing the wrong way. Tom who was in 3rd place takes the treble with the victory. That's it folks for today. I'm giving K.L a miss next weekend as doing Taunton/St.Day so i'll be back from Odsal in two weeks 👍

Final Focus 197 sends 515 wide into turn 3 on the opening lap. 45 pulls off followed a lap later by 345. 73 and 346 go around in turn 2. 5 and 1 making good inroads through the pack. 12 v 1 through turn 2 with Michael not giving an inch. 335 gets a tankslapper down the home straight and ends up facing the wrong way round but avoids getting collected by the following cars. 515 spins in turn 4. 478 rolls it in turn 3 after encountering 235 and 515 on the outside line. Before the restart 166 pulls off with a flat front left. 515 pulls off. The restart sees 268 lead the field. 55 gives 197 a hit entering turn 2 and takes the place. 1 leads at halfway. 268 hits the turn 2 fence and is collected by 197 and 217. Lee subsequently pulls out with a flat right front. A false restart sees the 1 car hit up the back by the following 169 after the green isn't shown. Shortly after the restart proper 21 puts a monster hit on 346, 525 and 5 entering turn 1 which sees Charlie rattle the fence. 12 spins exiting turn 2. 20 and 289 go around down the back straight. 21 pulls off with a flat front right. The World Champ claims the win with 55 a safe distance behind.
  5. Pit news after the Consi 216 - Gearbox u/s 463 - James is using another of Mat's cars today as his own didn't sound right in the GN at Mildenhall last night. Not worth risking the engine. 392 - Power steering pump keeps throwing the belt off. 124 - The team working on the prop shaft.

Consolation Catch Up 216, 463 and 555 all try for the same line through turn 1 bouncing off the fence. 93 and 87 tangle exiting turn 2 and head towards the infield before gaining forward momentum. 515 spins in turn 2. 197, 217 and 16 circulate as a high speed train. 526 spins in turn 3. 389 and 45 head the field until 3 to go when 197 comes through for the win.
  7. Pit news after the Heats 346 - Gearbox out. 25 - Bellhousing bolts keep coming loose. It'll need the engine out to sort it. 326 - Propshaft change. 235 - Front end damage to sort. 93 - Welding left rear corner. 16 - Front right corner welding up. 345 - Changing collapsed shocker. 5 - Charlie's using his dad's car today as his own is having some work done on it.
  8. Heat Two Happenings ( Steve Froggatt Memorial) 295 leads away. 345 pulls off on lap 1. 415, 124, 234, 389 and 235 end up in a heap in turn 3 bringing out the caution. The restart sees 407 head the field with 525 taking it a lap later. 93 and 22 clash in turn 4 with 25 piling in. 45 and 12 engage in battle until Nige spins off the back bumper of the 12 car in turn 3. 326 slows and comes to a stop in turn 2. Meanwhile 525 is long gone for the victory.

Hi there folks welcome to Brafield Heat One Happenings ( BSCDA Trust Fund Race) 381 and 392 battle at the front at the drop of the green. 20 and 21 get shoved off the racing line at opposite ends of the track and clatter the fence. 526 spins in turn 3. 16 hits the turn 1 fence with the help of the following pack. A lap later 515 and 16 clash in turn 4 with FWJ pulling off with a flat front right. 1 and 197 making rapid progress through the field. 5 is now leading as 217 spins in turn 4. 1 takes the lead from 5 going into turn 3 with an inside broadside move. 197 pulls off with a flat. Following a caution the restart sees 16, 526 and 463 pile up in turn 4. 555 pulls off with a flat front right. The rest of the field maintains position for the remainder of the race. 166 also has a flat front right with one to go.

  11. GN Notes 1 makes a rapid start and makes up a number of places on lap one. 343 stranded on the backstraight brings out the caution. The restart sees the 5 car ahead of some superb entertainment from the Shootout drivers with hard hits traded between 515, 217, 1, 166 and 16 over the following laps. Caution flies as 217 ends up on a post on the exit of turn 2. The restart has 242 up front with 464 in 2nd. In the closing stages of the race 197 makes his way through to the top half of the grid. 242 has a right rear let go with a couple of laps to go. Some classic last bend action sees 515 into 1 who sends 283 and 5 into a turn 4 post. 464 takes the win. A great weekend's action yet again from Skeggy. That's it folks. Back from Mildenhall 👍

Final Focus An early lap tangle in turn 3 between 191 and 48 narrows the track and 489, 127, 307, 595, 326 and 339 all end up in amongst it which brings out the caution. 327 leads away on the re-start. 464 and 197 are on their way from the back. 197 removes 464, 8, 492 and 295 in one hit into turn 3. A battle between 515, 1 and 217 ensues for a number of laps. 464 spins 2 out in turn 3 who pulls off soon after with a flat left rear. After a caution period 36 leads from 415 and 197 with 4 to go. 515 takes 217 and 16 up the inside of turn 3. Next lap 16 passes 217 into the same corner. 197 has by now taken the lead from 36 and claims the win.

Consolation Catch Up 381 piles into 20 entering turn 3 on lap 1 and spins himself out. 128, 489, 132 and 312 collide on the exit of turn 2 with Turbo Tomo jacking up the 132 car and ending up underneath. A full re-start sees 345 shunted into the stationary 556 and 13 cars in turn 1. At the opposite end of the track 43 and 211 lock together on the exit of turn 4 which collects car 9 as well. 489 heads the re-start. 343, 346 and 591 tangle entering the backstraight which leaves 346 up the fence and 591 on his side. The re-start sees 120, 12 and 178 crash out in turn 2. Casey batters his way free and puts a monster hit in on 178 into the turn 3 fence. 36 and 489 trade places up front for the victory.

Heat Three Happenings 451 and 381 spin in tandem exiting turn 2. 204 hits the turn 1 fence at high speed and bounces around turn 2. 492 and 327 battle for the lead up front. 422 is the first red to move forward. Caution for a stranded 381 on the backstraight. 492 leads off the restart and holds it until race end. 5 goes wide into turn 3 and loses places to his fellow star men. 166, 48 and 422 trade places for a few laps until settling into an evenly spaced race finish.

Heat Two Happenings As the front half of the field all try and go through turn 3 together 197 fires it up the inside to pass the majority in one move. 20 pulls off with a flat left rear early on. The field circulate as a fast moving train with few changes of position. With 2 to go 197 has 326 in his sights. A forceful last bender sees Ryan take the win from Mark.
  16. Heat One Happenings 36 has a left rear tyre let go on the first lap entering the homestraight which delays the close following 496. 43 spins in turn 3 which sees the cars behind take evasive action in all directions. 120 also spins in turn 3 and ends up hitting the infield tyres opposite the starter. Oil on the racing line with 5 to go sees the race speed decrease. 242 is now in the lead position which he maintains until the end. The World Champ in 2nd place and the rest of the field taking it easy on the tricky surface.
  17. Morning folks from day two. Pre-meeting pit news: 515 - Changing gears. 555 - Front end work ongoing following a hectic GN last night. 132 - Likewise for James. 217 - Changing gears. 25 - Welding right rear shocker mount. 11 - Welding rear bumper strengthening plate. 178 - Porta power on the front axle. 312 - Changing front left hub.
  18. GN Notes 339, 25 and 12 all get launched into turn 3 at race start. 300 joins the pile up with more adding to it reducing the track width. No caution flag yet. After a couple more laps 345 ends up going underneath 300 taking his wing off in the process which brings out the caution. 489 leads the field away on the restart which lasts half a lap before turn 3 strikes again. 166 half spins collecting 178 who climbs the fence and comes to a dead stop on a post. 8 and 555 pile in the back. Second restart. 197 fires 489 over the front end of new race leader 211 going into turn 3. 489 keeps his foot in and bounces through the turn in a spectacular show. 312 spins entering the backstraight trapping 515 and 212. Caution flies. 197 heads the field away, with the 1 car up to 8th. 515 and 5 lock together exiting turn 2. Frank pulls off shortly after. 1 catches and whacks 48 aside in turn 3 for 3rd. Ryan keeps the lead ahead of 217 to the end. That's it folks. Back tomorrow 👍
  19. Final Focus 197 and 1 both make rapid starts through the field. Caution flag flies for a turn four dust up beween 308, 211, 346 and 11 which blocks the track. 166 goes around and gets a head on from 526. 492 leads off the restart. 73 v 515 in and out of turn 1 livens things up. 166 joins in and has a dig at 515. 217 spins exiting turn 4 and catches the kerb. A huge smokescreen ensues as Lee gathers it up. However, his front left has locked up and with sparks flying as he goes down the backstraight it sees him pull off next time around. 1 takes 197 into turn 3 with a few laps left. Ashleigh still holds the lead up front with a great drive and with 3 to go has the World Champ looming large in her mirrors. 2 to go sees 1 pass 492 into turn 3 with a tap on the rear bumper to move her off line. 16 does a last bender on 166 for the minor placings.
  20. Pit news after the Consi 321 - Front right corner bent back. 132 - Front right corner welding up. 8 - Steering pump change. 259 - Centre of back bumper bent inwards. Tank etc looks ok. Team struggling to get the right rear off. Suspect the back axle may be bent or u/s. 295 - Grinder on the front right corner. 496 - Front axle out. 20 - Left rear corner steelwork being worked on.
  21. Consolation Catch Up 392 fired into the turn 3 fence on the opening lap. 300 and 5 lock together at the start of the backstraight which sees more cars pile in and block the track. Caution flies. 5 pulls off with a flat left rear. At the restart 345 barges his way through the 'C' graders ahead of him. 321 hits the turn 3 fence at an enormous rate of knots. 595, 489 and 132 enter turn 4 together resulting in a coming together with all three careering wildly across the track. 321 gets collected in this melee which brings out the caution. Ed walks away ok. The race leading 345 pulls off with a flat front right. 308 leads off the restart with 48 in close behind. The 308 car maintains the gap however until a spinning 251 in turn 4 catches the car and sends it on a wayward trajectory into the homestraight. 259 then ends up tangling with the 251 car and both come to a stop at the entrance to turn 1. 295 hits the 259 car at full chat bringing out the checkers and reds together. Paul climbs out ok after a few moments.
  22. Pit news after the heats: 515 - Rad change. 9 - Front right corner req's welding. 43 - Front panhard rod mounting bracket snapped off. Front axle bent. 204 - Front axle bent.
  23. Heat Three Happenings 9 gets fired into the turn 3 fence on the opening lap. 1 moves 515 aside into turn 1. 128 and 479 tangle entering the backstraight both going around. The next couple of laps sees a great bit of aggro between 515 and 120. After being clobbered by 515 into turn 3 Casey gives it back next time round. A bit of side by side nerf bashing ensues before 120 puts a big'un in going into turn one and breaks away. Meanwhile 492 is well away in the lead which she keeps until race end. 1 fires 392 over 211's bonnet into turn 3. After keeping a short distance behind 515 moves in for a last bend hit on 120 for 10th place
  24. Heat Two Happenings 178 makes some good moves for position with the front bumper. 464 is moving rapidly through from the back. 345 ends up broadside across the homestraight bringing out the caution as a small engine fire breaks out. After a couple of squirts with the extinguisher all's good. 326 leads off the restart with a fast closing 464. Luke goes up the inside of Mark into turn 3 a couple of laps later and is away to the win. 217 passes 326 into turn 3 a lap later.
  25. Welcome to Skeggy folks Heat One Happenings Lap one sees a joint hit from 555 and 197 onto the 5 car entering turn 3. Charlie rides the hit. 212 gives 422 a whack into turn 3 next time around. Turn 3 sees the action again, this time with 197 firing 242 into 392. 36 leads with 346 keeping him honest. 212 is making a slight gain on the 197 car who is flying. With one to go 346 has got 36 in range and wallops him into turn 3 on the last lap to take the lead to the flag. Jordan keeps it out of the fence to finish 2nd. 20 does likewise to 5 into the last corner.
