  1. Thanks for the compliment Ian. Lots done on the car over the weekend, i could have bust a gut to get it done for today's meeting, but if i had trashed it, i would have been busting a gut for next week! Its easy to say do less meetings and more prep, but i cant get enthusiasm for working on the car rather than actually racing it.
  2. Wish i was going now, after trashing 3 front axles in my last 3 races, i decided to give it a miss, now its sunday morning i am regretting my decision and wish i was going now. (canceled my booking) Typical, no V8 meeting either this weekend, last week there were 3 F1 and a V8, and next week we have 2 F1s, KL and BV. ive just booked in, so ill start getting ready for next weekend.
  3. 6,30 first F1s, no problem ill be there in plenty of time. Looking at that list Carl, Ben Hurdman will be on pole, and i recon ill be about row 6 ish. (ill get him if he laps me lol )
  4. Yes Goodrich she would, but ill be there in time anyway, ive already arranged it with Kim. Ive just finished the car, just got to load it up tomorrow night now so its ready to go. Just a few more beers to loads, oh and more stickers and sweets!
  5. Anyone know the White and Yellow championship line up? I wont be able to leave work till 4, so will be there by 4,30, and the first race is now 5.30, i thought the F1s started at 7. Ill be there in time, Kim and Jake will take the truck and get the car scrutineered, but no rush if i am not even in it. I was told last meeting i needed more points to even get in it, i would have thought it was 'all in'. Ill be there either way, cant wait!
  6. Ill have 6 too please Chris. (not of Ben lol) Also ill be at the Gala.
  7. Peter Hobbs shale car for sale, less engine and box, 7.000 pounds. LD rear axle, spares inc. 3 Years old, not many meetings. Complete straight and ready to race. Call Peter on 07841 349168
  8. Yea, hes been down here this week Carl to get some tyres of me, loads off old ones and some new ones i had. I also lent him a few bits to help him out, good luck to him.
  9. Hi Paul, i have spoken to Ed, and he said yes it does suit a large driver. My Jake sat in it, and hes 6 foot 5, so wont need raising, and it is a wide spacious cab, Eds no is above if you want to speak to him. Nigel.
  10. Hi Paul, most cars suit a driver around 6 feet, any taller you may need to raise the roof alittle, my brother has, my lad has, Sworder etc. If your big framed, all you need is a bigger seat, the width of the bottom of the seat is the usual measurement.
  11. Is that it? can we talk now? Thanks Jane, sounds like its been a great race. Love to have seen Danny take it, Wow, fantastic results for the Wainmans with Phoebe also winning the V8s.
  12. Sorted, had a chat with Ryan Harrison who says i need to be contained, so i have also had a chat with guy called Dave who called and put me onto some Dynafoam, that they use in aviation, (and wheelchairs for comfort, and ejector seats) so bought a load of that to pad my seat better. Cheers.
  13. Seat wanted. 2 weeks on the trot now i have hurt my ribs on the right side, so much i cant even sleep! Racetech buckets seats are the only other seat thats allowed apart from an ally one, even though they look the same as the Sparco bucket seat, (and there are loads of them on ebay!) . So, i want a Racetech seat, or consider an ally seat without the side where your rib cage is please. I may be able to borrow one, but prefer a bucket seat if i can get one. I cant race for a month with my seat as it is, and could possibly race if i can get a seat thats not going to injure my ribs any more! Cheers, Nigel. 07850 377766
  14. Martin Spires 451 car for sale. Big Block, complete or will split. Call Martin on 07828 227538 I cant find a picture, if anyone has one please post it up for him. Thankyou.
  15. Good job they didn't take my sense of humor off me too eh Phil?
  16. And those of us that have moved grades, have been told we have to change grade colour too, usually the first Cov, giving us a week to paint and sign-write the wing, but for some reason its the 1st of May. Luckily i have a blue wing, might have to make new brackets but i do have one. It has silver numbers though, so looks like i am getting another pink ticket!
  17. Yes please Wayne, Red please, and sign-written, oh and a tarmac wing too while your at it. Oh hang on, no, cancel that. Must have been a dream!
  18. Few bits to clear. Left thread wheel nuts (new) Cam Lifters Rockers sub axles shocks and a couple of broken trucks to clear! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331771300080?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 see other items.
  19. Will part exchange for a V8 Hotstox! As seen racing in the first half of the Brisca formula one season in the #45 shale car. Rebuilt last winter at a cost of £4000. Since spending another £2000 only 2 meetings ago, putting new rings in. 560 cubic inch, 800 pound of toque and 600+ horse power, 9 litre She's a big un. Engine is pretty much ready to put in a car and go, less carb, exhaust manifolds and engine plate. If you’re thinking of wanting of having ago in Brisca f1’s, but can’t quite afford a complete car… Jake really wants a V8 hotstox, so will part exchange the engine for one. The engine has been in both Smith brothers cars and have previously won 2 WF’s with this engine! Any questions, please ask On eBay for £7.000 buy it now, or start bidding! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331724030968?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  20. Ill bring you one Ben, and the front axle i owe you too!
