  2. Incarace press release:- FORGET THE football in France...the REAL European Championships take place at Northampton International Raceway on 16th and 17th July. This massive weekend of racing sees a triple figure entry of cars from all over Europe descend upon the Brafield venue accompanied by a legion of raucous supporters for a terrific celebration of Stock Car racing. Top of the tree are the thunderous BriSCA F1 Stock Cars at their spiritual UK home venue. 84 Tom Harris defends the European title and has recently made a successful comeback after a spell racing in America, winning the Scottish Championship at Cowdenbeath. His main rivals will include 515 Junior Wainman who has had a stunning season so far, winning the EIGHTH British title of his career – an event which nearly saw a Wainman family lockout of the podium – plus sweeping all before him on shale with a succession of final wins and also topping the World Championship qualifying points, while 445 Nigel Green has also been in superb form around Northampton this season. Other main contenders for the European crown will include gold top 318 Rob Speak who will be hoping for a change of fortune after many incidents and mechanical woes this year, National Points champion 4 Dan Johnson, 464 Luke Davidson and 150 Mick Sworder who have all lifted the title before. The ever-potent Dutch challenge meanwhile should be led by H148 Sjeng Smidt and H36 Joep Hendriks to name but two, while 518 Stuart Shevill Jnr and 388 Paul Ford will represent Scotland. Saturday night also features two very special additional trophies to be contested. The F1s will contest the annual Trust Fund race with a magnificent solid silver stock car replica as the trophy which 388 Paul Ford defends.
