  1. Haha, no Ken, we put our effort into the sport, we don't expect rewards, but we do earn them when we do win a race. and makes it all worthwhile.
  2. Looking at those top pictures, the Blue wings were the same, but we didn't do the yellow wings as they were old ones from last year. Maybe that let us down. The year before i had both my cars the same, (tar / shale) but you never saw both on track together, so having a matching pair of cars on track i thought was cool. I tried both ways.
  3. Cheers Guys, ill do something. blog/vlog when i get some enthusiasm. Hey Spiderman, i don't know why we didn't get a nomination for best team, Hunters won last night, and well done. We did Motofest, Motorsport with attitude, NEC, and Children in need, we took the cars wherever we were asked, and they were immaculate this year, so i just don't know how we got overlooked. I don't know who does the nominations, i did try and find out last night? I think had we got a nomination, we would have had a chance this year. Oh well nevermind.
  4. Haha, brilliant, thanks for that, i'll be doing my end of season blog this time next week, after the Dinner and AGM!
  5. Double points, makes it worth racing! Were loaded and ready, Jake won the final last year, so were planning on the same again for one of us.
  6. It is a shame, iphone forecast are affecting our business too. We do golf and fishing, and a bad forecast (even a shower) shows up as a rain day on an iphone, and we see the drop in business. I love the rain and mud, like a wet MX when i was kid, the muddier the better for me.
  7. Sunday 20th rearranged date suggested, after Kings lynn on the Saturday Unconfirmed as yet. Steve will let us know.
  8. Thanks Keith, jus seen it on the thread, and had loads of tx, apparently the tracks wet now with a lot more wet to come. I love the mud, good decision though.
  9. When we go to Hednesford early in the year, many drivers are chasing grading points, and its a world qualifier so gets more drivers (around 30 ish normally) Looking a the remaining meetings we have 10 meetings left, and all of them are Shootout AND a World Qualifier (ex Skeggy on the Sunday is just SO, and the last one is the Gala, and Under 25s.) Seems this meeting should have at least be a World Qualifier which certainly would have got a few more cars.
  10. Longacre Scales £800 Rechargeable transponder £250 Steve Smith Coventry, 07769 654341
  11. AND, hes spoken to Peter Falding, and asked him EXACTLY how old he was when he won it the first time, (20) and Jake has worked out he will be the youngest ever winner if he wins. Good luck son.
  12. Yes thankyou. But it will be the first race for those lot, so there not going to be pulling out with damage. I assume no one has pulled out, or we would know by now. If i was first reserve i don't mind putting some hours in on the car, (aswell as the tar car) but being 3rd reserve i think i would be wasting my time. I will take great pleasure in watching Jake anyway with a beer in my hand.
  13. Thanks Dave, we've done a bit on the tar car tonight for Jake. I just looked at the list above, and Sam and Neil are booked in, so i'll go fishing tomorrow night now.
  14. Anyone know the situation with reserves? i could do with knowing if i need to take my car, its Wednesday, and i really need to do some work on it if i am going to use it Saturday. If i am first reserve ill bring it, i was told i was 3rd, but the list on page one, says 2 reserves at the bottom of the list?
  15. Kay said it was 346 that tangled with Billy 169, so did he lose a lap there?
  16. I dont know Nealius, i saw James was a lap down, weather he caught and passed Ashley when he stopped with Phoebe i don't know, without seeing a video is what i said. The transponders have 346 as 13th. Speedhive has it (transponders) 84 217 16 4 20 313 152 101 211 463 526 346 415 124
  17. Just watched again for the 200th time, still gets my goat, the only way is to watch a video. You can see the 2 leaders take each other out at 9 min, and i retake the lead. 94 got given the win, they took off him and giver 217. We will have to wait to see a video of yesterday's race to see what actually happened to James and Ashley.
  18. Found the video Rich. Not yesterday, mine from last year. I think the announcer influenced the steward, as he missed me in the lead first lap, you can see at 1 min in, i cross the line in the lead, but the announcer missed me and calls 313. Cant find transponder results anymore. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m21PF61mLA0
  19. Kay just posted this on the other thread: One of our party saw 346 putting his thumbs down, along with Billy Johnson, when they were in the fence together - if this was the case, 346 should not have been allowed to rejoin after being the cause of the yellow flags. Unless he was indicating them for Billy?
  20. I don't know, i went straight to the box and objected when it happened to me, but fell on deaf ears, but i didn't have the Transponder conformation, or the video, just my friends and family (and me) knowing i had won. I saw 2 committee members, and put it in writing, still no win. I got transponder results, and the video, but still waiting. If they can count 40,000 on the London marathon, they should be able to count a couple of dozen cars, that don't even go out of sight.
