  1. I usually try to decipher a race on Speedhive lap charts, but even this is as clear as mud,but I did pass a very focused (cross looking) 463 on the way back from the race controll, unless he had just been for a drink,ha ha, straight after the semi
  2. After Sunday's GN, I think 555 won't see green flag Did I miss something what happened in the GN?
  3. It is, just read mine where did all those 50s program covers come from, it is certainly a good read
  4. Good old Worzel, I also did a double take when I saw 45 Nigel Harrhy, and 37 Chris Cowley and read it as 317 Nigel Hardy! Now that would be good, I often read what I want to see not what it actually says
  5. . Thats a similar format to Sheffield that I certainly, and a lot of others on here seem to prefer so I hope Steve gets the crowd and drivers he deserves for that. From my point of view the booking list looks good 34,215,424,463, only need Wurzel and its happy days!
  6. Another excellent Carl post, all peoples names that you have heard off before that keep cropping up, that have made a massive (in my opinion) contribution over recent years to my enjoyment of stock car racing, and because they don’t have a name and number on the side you don’t know them. Ladies and gentlemen thank you
  7. That info was good Carl, pointing out the name on the trophy is the British drivers championship, it was Bammy that revamped it in ‘77 at Bradford to what we see today, my first was ‘73 when Closey won at Nelson it was a normal meeting with only Nelson regulars, the 3rd heat was even a white top race and regularly in the early days it was a clashing meeting. I like the British Championship format now it often throws up a surprise grid
  8. Right do, 40 cars at Buxton I hope I can make it, should be a good ‘un
  9. At the end of the day like I said it’s a business, and it has to wash its face, a few on here are saying the crowd was poor,it has to stack up or it will be another one gone, I would pay £2 if need be I’d look at it like the £1 seats at KL, a bargain I wouldn’t be a promoter for a gold clock, gone are the days of making an (alleged) fortune like Bammy at Bradford and Keith Barber, sorry Keith, at Long Eaton
  10. Blimey Stevie motorsport is Deans business,if you have something people enjoy you have every right to charge them for it.....said the actresses to the Bishop
  11. Another thought, i think of BV as a cult track, some love it (us) some hate it, a bit like Aycliffe in the old days
  12. The pics went up at 11.56am Sat, no point suggesting tyre packing on Tuesday tony, anyway the tyre packing is to get the moisture down Tuesday is a bit early for that it could pour down nearer race day. Ha ha, just realised its a Saturday meeting well done, I see what you mean now. Brafield was always on a Sunday in my day!
  13. That looks mint Harry, water and tyre packing Sat night/Sunday morning and it should be a great surface
  14. I disagree Riggerman BV tractor drivers are the best, Lead by AR Richards men, but best of all was Mr Fenny on old man Franks Leyland, he never let you down!
  15. Sheffield is definitely not a little girls track!!
  16. That do was one of the reasons for going, the stick he gave old man Frank, Toulson, and Joe Jopling was legendary
  17. Same as Linky, but I’d swap F2s for Saloons, I must be the only Stockcar fan that doesn’t think they are mega......except at Cowdenbeath
  18. I will have when I’ve read it Colin, see how you get on
  19. Shame I’ve heard Giant can’t go he’s at a mates wedding,ha ha
  20. If the weather can hold out like yesterday and 40ish cars booked in it should be a good ‘un, looking forward to that
