Here we are again and it’s time to start the planning and collecting for this year’s race at Birmingham on Saturday November 17th Gala Night. Thanks to everybody who has contributed and supported the race in anyway previously with all donations and prizes going directly to the drivers and is very much appreciated. As always the race is open to all drivers up to a maximum of 31 cars that were aged 25 or under on January 1st 2018 Plus Lee Fairhust as 2017 champion who is eligible for one final chance to defend his title and if successful would match Ryan Harrison’s achievements in 2007, 2009 and 2012 as a three times Champion. Donations and pledges can now be made to this year’s fund by either adding to this thread or by personal message. PayPal to the address in my signature below, bank transfer PM for details or by hand to Myself, Debbie or Chris Thompson at any meeting we attend additionally Suzzanne Fairhurst at the 217 transporter and Conrad Wilson (CW Auto’s) who has his van at every meeting (in the pits) will also accept any contributions. Every penny raised will go directly to the race fund or as in previous years and what is becoming a popular way is to specify where your donation goes e.g Unluckiest Driver, First Puncture, Last Place, Slowest Lap, Leader on a certain Lap, First Car picked up by a Tractor First Driver In Fence etc are just some idea of what have been sponsored in previous years all of which add to the enjoyment and the uniqueness of the race where you don’t have to be successful to be a winner. Please if possible ensure all donations and pledges are paid by Sunday 11th November at Belle Vue as this allows the prize fund to be finalised with anything collected or pledged after this date being carried over to next year. I will update all totals collected or pledged as we go regularly on this thread on and also the website www.under25s.com/ with all donations receiving a personal named credit. Hopefully we can get somewhere near last year’s amazing total and thanks to everybody that has contributed already we are starting with £1650 and prizes.
