  4. Latest press release from Trackstar BIG LEAGUE ARE BACK! Big league F1 Stock Cars return to the Adrian Flux Arena for the first time in over two months and a star studded grid will be in attendance with the third round of the National Points Shootout taking place. The National Series guarantees all of the big guns will be in attendance and that is certainly the case this Saturday with newly crowned World Champion 1 Frankie Wainman heading a star studded line up. 445 Nigel Green is the third leader of the series in as many meetings and the early rounds have certainly been nail biting affairs and with over 40 cars booked in for action this Saturday that trend looks set to continue. 6 races are scheduled for the F1s on Saturday with the traditional White & Yellows race kicking off F1 proceedings at 5.40pm, with the first heat proper set to start no earlier than 6pm.
  5. Meeting preview from Trackstar's website. Stock car racing returns to the Adrian Flux Arena on Saturday night (24 September, 5:30pm) with a triple bill of hard-hitting formulae, headlined by the third round of the Shootout Series for BriSCA Formula One stock cars. They will be ably supported by Two-Litre and 1300cc stock cars, with all three formula's recently crowned World Champions in action. After claiming his third World title at Coventry three weeks ago, #1 Frankie Wainman Jr will be showing off his new number and gold roof, after an incredible season that has also taken him to the British title, and seen rapid progress from his two children in their racing careers. 1 Frankie Wainman will be showing of the gold roof for the first time on Saturday Wainman will be joined by his younger brother #212 Danny Wainman, with both being contenders in the end-of-season Shootout for the silver roof. Son #555 Frankie Wainman Jr Jr will also be in action, having just missed out on a place in the Shootout after his own superb season. Currently leading the Shootout standings after the opening two rounds is 445 Nigel Green. The Leicester man has the joined the superstar ranks for the first time this season and has always had his eye on the silver roof which he feels is a true barometer of success. 445 Nigel Green currently leads the Shootout Points After Wainman in second, comes former World Champion #2 Paul Harrison who impressed at Skegness last weekend, and Norfolk’s own #16 Mat Newson, one of the most committed drivers in the sport and a perennial challenger who always seems to miss out on the luck just when he needs it. A consolation and final double at Skegness last weekend means that #318 Rob Speak remains firmly in contention to take the title in this, his final year of racing after a glittering career Opportunities to see 318 Rob Speak in action are running out King’s Lynn specialist and top entertainer 150 Mick Sworder will fancy his chances this weekend, while defending champion #4 Dan Johnson and former champion #55 Craig Finnikin could do with big scores to boost their standings. Third place in the World Final proved #217 Lee Fairhurst’s shale credentials again, but he and #220 Will Hunter are probably outsiders for the title and could do with bagging some large hauls of points whilst 84 Tom Harris is always a driver you can't take your eyes off around King's Lynn. Away from the Shoot Out, 22 Will Yarrow and 335 Mark Woodhull look a big threat from the blues whilst 207 Ben Hurdman and 338 Chris Brocksopp are real dangers from the yellows 335 Mark Woodhull wil be giving the shootout drivers something to think about on Saturday 76 Aaron Cozens won the White & Yellows race last time out and is always quick around Lynn whilst 405 Keith Palmer will be out in an F1 for the first time in nearly twenty years! All of the fun of the fair will be at the Adrian Flux Arena this Saturday! The good news for mum and dad is that it the ride is free for kids to go on and they can go on them often as they like!!! Check back later in the week for details of what rides will be with us. Pit gate opens at 2pm. On the day admission Adult - £19 OAP - £17 12-15 year old - £7 Kids up to 11 free Family (2 adults & 2 12 - 15 year olds) - £48 Discount advance tickets also available.

  13. Thanks for the feedback, Dave. Not quite word for word though; I try to correct any spelling and grammatical mistakes, plus any factual errors, and format it nicely before I post it on here. Nah. There will be no meltdowns. Congratulations to Daniel S, who correctly predicted the time of the first comment about the admission price. All I'm doing is collecting relevant information and collating it on these Meeting Preview threads in the hope that it's useful for somebody. Unless I specifically say so, I'm not posting on behalf of any promoter, the BSCDA, or anyone else. Any queries or complaints about any aspect of this meeting should be made directly to Skegness Stadium on 0844 559 1228 or enquiries@skegness-stadium.info
  14. Important traffic information for anyone travelling to Skegness via Boston and the A16 Latest phase of Boston Quadrant roadworks nears completion Temporary traffic lights and a series of weekend road closures will be needed to complete the latest works for the Chestnut Homes Quadrant development. Two way temporary traffic lights will be in place on the A16 from Monday 5 to Friday 16 September to allow the completion of kerbing, footways and ducting works on the west side of the roundabout. The lights will be in place 24hrs a day and will be manually controlled to keep traffic flowing as much as possible. However, some delays are likely, particularly at peak periods. Drivers may wish to consider alternative routes or vary the times of their journeys where possible. There will then be a series of weekend closures so the carriageway can be surfaced. These closures will run from 7pm Friday to 6am Monday on the following weekends. •16-19 September •23-26 September •30 September -3 October •7-10 October •14-17 October The travelling public are asked to read and follow the information on the temporary signage that will be in place during the works. On behalf of the developer, we apologise in advance for any delays or disruption to people’s journeys during this final stage. Latest info here on the Lincolnshire Council website
