Important traffic information for anyone travelling to Skegness via Boston and the A16 Latest phase of Boston Quadrant roadworks nears completion Temporary traffic lights and a series of weekend road closures will be needed to complete the latest works for the Chestnut Homes Quadrant development. Two way temporary traffic lights will be in place on the A16 from Monday 5 to Friday 16 September to allow the completion of kerbing, footways and ducting works on the west side of the roundabout. The lights will be in place 24hrs a day and will be manually controlled to keep traffic flowing as much as possible. However, some delays are likely, particularly at peak periods. Drivers may wish to consider alternative routes or vary the times of their journeys where possible. There will then be a series of weekend closures so the carriageway can be surfaced. These closures will run from 7pm Friday to 6am Monday on the following weekends. •7-10 October •14-17 October The travelling public are asked to read and follow the information on the temporary signage that will be in place during the works. The poster produced by Skegness advertises this as the Autumn Speed Weekend for F1, F2, 2L Saloons and Micro Bangers. This contradicts the BSCDA website and Skegness' own website, which say that the support is F2 and Ministox. The original poster is on the Skegness Stadium website. I thought that it didn't make it clear that the F1s are on Saturday night only (they're at Sheffield on Sunday), so I've taken the liberty of removing the Sunday bits from the poster. Official statement from Coventry Stadium:- We have decided to bring the start time forward for this meeting to 6pm. We have had a huge interest from the F1s and with hosting the V8 World Championship as well we need to start earlier.

Start time has been changed to 6pm. As in, the first race of the evening, which will be the 1300cc Saloons, is at 6pm.

The second one.... Hasn't been £16 for a couple of years. The August meeting was £20, as was the July meeting and the June meeting. I haven't gone back any further.

There's currently over 70 F1s booked in. Plus a big turnout (40+) of V8s expected, as it's their World Final.
