  1. Makes you wonder how he's getting them all there! Fair play to him - he's going to be busy! And so is Stuart Shevill - he's already in the pits. Racing his saloon tonight, and presumably the saloon and the F1 over the weekend.
  2. 28, 47, 321, & 322 removed. 224 added.
  3. That's 42 different drivers in total over the weekend, but will there be 42 different cars? 252 is listed as Saturday only, and I think he usually races a Mat Newson car? In which case, will somebody different be racing that car Sunday? Maybe 213 or 483? 219 has already said she's in one of Mat's both days. How many cars has Mat actually got? 47 has raced Jamie Davidson cars on his previous outings, but with 464, 318, and 84 all racing (presumably Tom in the same older Speak car again), have they got any spare? 545 in a Mark Sargent car again?

  5. Thanks for all the thanks..... I'm sure the F1 booking list will be released tomorrow, but in the mean time, here's SCM's poster for the weekend.
  6. All I'm doing is collecting relevant information and collating it on these Meeting Preview threads in the hope that it's useful for somebody. Unless I specifically say so, I'm not posting on behalf of any promoter, the BSCDA, or anyone else. I take your point that some elements of this particular press release are either badly worded or contradictory, but the best answer I can give is that any queries or concerns about any aspect of this meeting should be made directly to Skegness Stadium on 0844 559 1228 or enquiries@skegness-stadium.info
  7. Information from Skegness Stadium. On Saturday, the pit gate & camping area opens at 12.30pm and the turnstiles open at 1pm, and we say this every meeting but it is REALLY important you do not arrive before this time, if the gates are blocked we cannot get service vehicles in to the Stadium and we get problems with the Police & Highways for blocking the road, we want the weekends to continue so please do not arrive before the specified time. Camping / Motor homes / Caravans etc. is £20 per unit, all through into the back field. This opens at 12-30pm Sorry no camping or staying overnight in the car park. At 3pm we have a meet & greet and photo shoot on track with the three World Champions. Kelvyn Marshall, Brisca F2, 2L Saloons Simon Welton, Rob Speak Brisca F1, where you can meet the drivers and have a photo taken with them, then at 4pm the time trials, where they all have ago in each other’s cars. Race cars & transporters that are not racing are not allowed on any part of Skegness Stadium, there is simply not enough room. You can tel 0844 559 1228 and pay for your tickets for the weekend, (it is the same as the gate price) and we will give you a reference number to exchange for a wristband on Sat 9th July. We have a large free car park, plenty of catering units, and bars, and a large covered grandstand area if the weathers a bit iffy. There is also track view parking where for an additional charge £10 for a car, £15 for a 4 x 4 size motor, where you can watch from the comfort of your car. Sorry motorhomes are not allowed on track view. Please note you are not allowed to bring in food, drink, alcohol, barbecues into the Stadium Arena and track view parking. No tents, shelters, gazebos, marquees or similar are allowed inside the Stadium arena, trackside, or any of the spectator areas. Admission prices: Saturday: Adults £20, Seniors £16, Juniors £8 Sunday: Adults £24, Seniors £16, Juniors £8. Weekend ticket: £42, Senior £30, Junior £14. Also, if you want to make a long weekend of it, there's a meeting for F2 and Saloons on Thursday 7th July, starting 7.30pm.
  8. From the Team Smith page - 390 has cancelled.
  9. I'd be surprised if Tom wasn't in Speaky's car.
  10. The final car count is 69!
  11. On sale tomorrow. Only £2. It's a deal. It's a steal. It's the sale of the ... century.

  13. I did say "Could be". No secrecy, it was just a rumour that came my way, that I thought might create some interest. I didn't want to state it as fact until it was confirmed. Yes, Jacklyn herself has confirmed that, see here
  14. Tom Harris now booked in. Looks like someone else has dropped out though, as it's still 70 in total.
  15. The current booking list. The young lady rumoured to be making her F1 debut isn't on it! 1 2 Paul Harrison 2 16 Matt Newson 3 19 John Home 4 21 Mark Gilbank 5 22 Will Yarrow 6 25 Bradley Harrison 7 28 Thomas Boyer 8 34 Mal Brown 9 36 Jordan Falding 10 43 Adam Bamford 11 45 Nigel Harrhy 12 53 John Lund 13 55 Craig Finnikin 14 75 Thomas Stevenson 15 76 Aaron Cozens 16 83 Darren Clark 17 84 Tom Harris 18 94 John Dowson Jnr. 19 103 Richard Masterson 20 105 Chris Bonner 21 108 Peter Hobbs 22 118 Steve Harrison 23 127 Austin Moore 24 150 Mick Sworder 25 158 James Clement 26 166 Bobby Griffin 27 169 Billy Johnson 28 175 Karl Hawkins 29 192 Luke Dennis 30 197 Ryan Harrison 31 207 Ben Hurdman 32 212 Daniel Wainman 33 215 Geoff Nickolls 34 216 Jack France 35 217 Lee Fairhurst 36 220 William Hunter 37 224 Mark Gray 38 231 Daniel van Spijker 39 238 Richard Bryan 40 244 Mick Rogers 41 249 Jonathon Gibson 42 259 Paul Hines 43 276 Mark Poole 44 280 Colin Nairn 45 293 Eliot Smith 46 307 Tim Warwick 47 313 Karl Roberts 48 321 Edward Neachell 49 322 James Neachell 50 326 Mark Sargeant 51 331 Peter Allin 52 332 Isaac Beaumont 53 335 Mark Woodhull 54 337 Dave Willis 55 338 Chris Brocksopp 56 339 Anthony Lee 57 386 Joe Thompson 58 390 Stuart Smith 59 415 Russell Cooper 60 432 Ben Farnell 61 445 Nigel Green 62 446 Joe Booth 63 448 Jason Eaton 64 451 Martin Spiers 65 463 James Morris 66 481 Johnny Painter 67 515 Frankie Wainman Jnr 68 555 Frankie Wainman JJ 69 H92 Remco de Buck 70 H148 Sjeng Smidt Jnr

  18. A message from Steve Rees. Thank You On behalf of Jackie and myself we would just like to thank ALL drivers, race teams and fans for a fantastic weekend in Scotland - in particular the 'warm' welcome we always receive from our friends North of the Border. We must also thank the Brewsters, Dave and Keith and all the GMP staff who were a pleasure to work with Saturday and Willie, Charlie and all the HRP team who were again most welcoming at the constantly improving Lochgelly Raceway. This all contributed to a relaxed and enjoyable weekend in which it was a pleasure and privilege to be part of. Special mention to Guy and Sophie for their help both days. I could go on for pages thanking everyone involved! Saturday night returned the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end, particularly the Scottish! Both Paul Ford and Rob Speak spent the night in hospital for observation what was more pleasing was both were back with us at Lochgelly yesterday to enjoy the afternoon from the safe side. The Final was brutal however shows great credit to the construction of the cars. The investment in the music rig added in my opinion to creating an atmosphere. Every single driver in my eyes was a 'star' and it hit me travelling South, passing around 20 transporters on the M6 the enormous dedication of our race teams and the distances travelled. [ Not withstanding you begin to realise Gordon Moodie and others commitment regularly doing that journey weekly! ] Personally, I feel very proud of BriSCA Formula One - Our Scottish fans 'deserve' the F1's 'at home' as they are important to us. I must make a 'special' mention of the shale drivers and thankfully the rain levelled it for them occasionally, a young man new to the sport [ Jon Horne 19 ] impressed me with his enthusiasm. My own teeth shook when he hit - and destroyed - the pit gate! He among others returned Sunday, there was a lot of re engineering going on. 35 cars raced Saturday - I think 32 Sunday losing Paul,Rob and Nigel [ due to engine problems ] Despite the atrocious weather at times, despite the Royal Highland Show, despite football, despite Superbikes at Knockhill both venues enjoyed crowds similar to 2014 levels and a great atmosphere. I would like to capture and package the Cowdie atmosphere Saturday and sell it! A pleasurable weekend and great to be part of the BriSCA F1 'family - again our sincerest thanks to all involved in participating whichever side of the fence, we have a great sport, great product, great people and drivers with balls of steel! It becomes even more noticeable when we go 'on tour' to share it with others. Whilst the above is accented on F1, let us not forget the visiting support in terms of the StoxKarts who always add a party atmosphere feel wherever they go and the National Ministox teams, again in good numbers who genuinely did enthral the Scottish crowd. Steve & Jackie
  19. It's the UK Speed Weekend! This is the UK Championship for the Saloons and F2s (I think?) - it's two standard meetings for F1s, not a championship. F2 driver and Lee Fairhurst's much better half, Jacklyn Ellis, has announced that she will be racing both days in a Mat Newson car.
  20. The first Saturday of the month means Coventry! This time, it's the Ministox and the UK Modifieds supporting the F1s.
  21. Just spotted the 217/512/231 convoy heading north on the M6 near Preston.
  22. Latest press release: Only a day to go before the BriSCA F1s thunder into Racewall. Excellent numbers for the two day event, all hoping to become Scottish Champion and pick up some vital WQ points along the way. A special thank you to all our sponsors for this weekend, with their support we have managed to substantially up the prize pot. Please have a look at the sponsors page on the website, maybe they have something to offer you too.
  23. The current booking list. Note that this is for both meetings; there aren't separate lists for each. 1 2 Paul Harrison 2 16 Matt Newson 3 19 Jonathon Horne 4 21 Mark Gilbank 5 24 Mark Adkins 6 25 Bradley Harrison 7 45 Nigel Harrhy 8 55 Craig Finnikin 9 84 Tom Harris 10 127 Austin Moore 11 150 Mick Sworder 12 183 Steve Whittle 13 212 Danny Wainman 14 216 Jack France 15 217 Lee Fairhurst 16 220 William Hunter 17 231 Daniel van Spijker 18 237 Ollie Ives 19 249 Jonathon Gibson 20 267 Graeme Robson 21 268 Richard Woods 22 280 Colin Nairn 23 287 Sean Willis 24 313 Karl Roberts 25 318 Rob Speak 26 337 Dave Willis 27 385 Sam Render 28 388 Paul Ford 29 390 Stuart Smith 30 401 Steven Webster 31 422 Ben Riley 32 443 Richard Dickerson 33 445 Nigel Green 34 446 Joe Booth 35 464 Luke Davidson 36 512 Michael Steward 37 515 Frankie Wainman 38 518 Stuart Shevill Jnr 39 555 Frankie Wainman Jnr Jnr Stav posted above that 183 wasn't going, but as yet he has not cancelled his booking. Nige was undecided due to his sore ribs, but he says that he has until 8pm tonight to cancel, or incur the wrath of Sophie.
