Our Blauwhuis correspondent reports that neither 215 or 394 qualified for final, although 394 was going good at times.

Final took about 45 mins to run. Total carnage. Possibly a bit of team racing going on? Think 515 fifth, 212 about 8th. 175 got a load of damage.

Top 3 in Final. 440 453 38. 515 went for the lead but tangled and hit fence. (John B )

Update from my Blauwhuis correspondent. 555 struggled in heat 1, 175 bent axle in his race 212 got 8th. 175 was leading Cons then yellows came out, then a car that been out for 3 laps took him out, he still qualified. 555 did a halfshaft.

Wainman scorched to heat and final successes in his new car before carving his way through to third in the grand national, without the aid of a yellow flag. Just as he threatened to do last season, 445 Nigel Green looks set to join the sport’s elite this year, with a concerted effort on both surfaces. He and fellow Leicestershire man 259 Paul Hines will be in contention for race wins. Alongside FWJ in the Wainman camp are his brother 212 Danny Wainman and son 555 Frankie Wainman Jr Jr. The latter scored his first ever F1 race win a couple of weeks ago and is riding the crest of a wave. His first win on shale is surely not far off. There have been some changes made to the Buxton track over the winter. The rumble strips have been removed, which makes the racing line a bit shorter.

Mick has said on Twitter that he had some problems with his transporter on the way home from the last meeting he raced at (I've forgotten which one), and is unable to race his F1 until it's fixed.
