UK Open Final Focus 295 leads away. Chaos into turn 3 with a big push from 166 which drives 48, 11, 464 and 124 up the fence. Next time round the 1 car is pushing 166 sideways through turn 4 with 212, 242 and 191 stuck on the outside. Caution flag. 327 leads away. 166, 20 and 295 pull off on the roller. 1 is way ahead of the rest of the star men even at this early stage. 212 and 560 lock together on the inside of turn 1 and lose laps. 36 clashes with 492 in turn 2. Jordan pulls off with a flat front right. Ashley then has a coming together with 524 which leaves her stuck on the outside of turn 1. 16 slows towards the end. 1 passes the leader 283 with a number of laps to go. Tom had an unassailable lead and with oil on track nobody could make any further inroads.

Heat Four Happenings 13 leads away. 295 and 13 tangle on the back straight which catches out 11. Caution flag. 327 leads away. 16, 560 and 166 engage in battle with 8 joining in with a hit on 166 into turn 1. 346 stops against the turn 2 fence. The remainder of the race sees a tremendous battle between 560, 8 and 166 trading hits on every lap. A lap to go sees 1 take the lead from 492. The last corner sees 560 fire 8 into 166 going through turn 4 to claim the position. Tom Harris (1) wins Heat 4. 1st. 1, 492, 48, 36, 25, 381, 16, 524, H124, 327, 11, 175, 560, 8 and 211. DNF: 295, 12 and 346.

Heat Three Happenings 307 leads away. 242 piles em' up into turn 3 on lap 1. 5 eases 464 wide in turn 1. 20 takes 464 and 212 with one hit into turn 1 on the next lap. 120 performs a huge roll into turn 1. Casey all ok. 78 leads the restart. 551 maintaining position near the front despite a hit from 242 into turn 3. 515 comes through to lead. 464 and 543 trade blows until Luke fires Drew hard into the turn 4 fence. The leading duo of 543 and 381 battle through turn 1 at halfway which lets 1 into the lead. Pit news cont: 5 - Working on the front right corner. 212 - Changing prop. 327 - Replacing panhard rod. 526 - Working on the prop. 166 - Welding front bumper bracing. 197 - Not racing owing to damage from last night. 19 - As above. 300 - Paul tweaked his back during the week. Went out in practice yesterday which aggravated it so giving it a miss this weekend. 543's the only car left standing in the Harrison team so plenty of mechanical help for Drew today! 415 - Also not racing today. Back axle went in the GN last night.

Morning folks from a sunny Skeggy for the UK Open Championship day. At the moment the plan is four heats(subject to car numbers), Final and GN. A two from four format with the top 32 points scorers qualifying for the main event. Pre-meeting pit news 48 - Changing half shaft. 12 - Porta power on the front left corner. 191 - Diff strip in op. The main cap has snapped off the axle. 120 - Replacing a very bent front axle. 19 - A bent front axle, sheared off links, shocker mount broken and nerf rail bracing snapped off are a few jobs that need sorting. 259 - Front axle change. 197 - Not unloaded as yet.

GN Notes 443 leads away. 48 goes around entering the home straight on lap 1. 447, 307, 524 and 19 spin out and tangle together in turn 4. 120 rolls it on the back straight. 415 leads the restart. 5 is the first red in the pack. 1 fires 166 and 211 into turn 3 but gets it back from the following pack of star men entering turn 1 which leaves him stuck on the outside line. Caution for a big crash between 147 and 19 at the end of the back straight. 415 leads off the restart once again with 464 the first red in the queue. 20, 515 and 16 all fly into turn 3 with bumpers going in hard. 415 stops on the exit of turn 2. 5 goes round turns 3 and 4 on two wheels wall of death style. 20 spins out in turn 4. 166 stops in turn 3. 515 gives 175 a hurry up into turn 3. 339 has kept clear of the chaos to claim the victory. Final Focus 452 leads away. 166 slows and drops back on the first lap. 19 gets shoved onto the infield marker tyres in the opening laps sort out. 175 stops in turn 2. 197's engine dies in the middle of the pack in turn 4. It refires after a 20 push. Ryan moves 166 aside entering turn 1. Bobby gets on the 197 bumper and pushes him wide exiting turn 2. However, 127, 87, and 11 have come to a halt mid-way down the back straight and Ryan has nowhere left to go other than join them. 368, 415 and 452 lead the restart. 464 is the first red to show. 1 puts a big hit in on 242 entering turn 3. 48 and 259 lock together in turn 2. With 3 to go 464 moves second placed 543 aside with a big hit into turn 3. Drew tries a payback at the next corner but fails to connect. 368 takes his second win of the day from a fast closing 464. It's a THM top 3 as the World Champ follows them over the line. The last lap sees 5 whack 8 into turn 3 to claim the position.

Pit News 327 - Bent front axle. 172 - Front left corner bent back. Porta power on the job. 555 - Gearbox out. 526 - Left rear shocker mount sheared off. Battery tray mangled. 492 - Front left corner bent back. 560 - Front left shocker and brake pipe change.

Consolation Catch Up Definitely more action in this one. 327 leads away. 492 goes sideways in turn 3 followed by 211. 443 hits the turn 3 fence head on. 560 and 197 coming through the field quick again. However 560's progress is halted by a launching into the turn 3 fence by 124. 2 hits the turn 2 fence unaided. 5 whacks 555 into turn 1, with 526 doing likewise to H124. With 3 to go 526 and 211 tangle in turn 3 with Finn rolling it in turn 4. The restart sees 452, 283, 327 as the top 3 with 197 ready to pounce. 120 pushes 197 off line into turn 3 however and Ryan loses ground. Entering turn 1 next lap sees him fire 212 into 120 which also collects 3rd placed 327 who bounces off the fence. The last lap sees another big'un from 197 into the now leading 283 entering turn 3 which sees Ryan get the victory.

After they separate Ashleigh pulls off whilst her dad stops on the exit of turn 2. 19 takes the lead at halfway. 5 starts to put oil down which catches out 526 and 191 in turn 3. Both spin out. 19 holds on for the win from a fast closing 48.

Heat Two Happenings 295 leads away. 36 puts a hit in on 120 entering turn 3. 368 takes the lead and pulls clear of the chasing pack. 36 hits 345 wide in turn 1. 368 in the ex-8 car takes a fine first win.

Welcome to Skegness folks Heat One Happenings 415 leads away and sets sail for the victory. 560 and 197 are making inroads through the field. 212 and 12 lock together down the backstraight. Danny gets rid of the 12 car on an infield tyre. 20 and 166 exchange places over a number of laps. 197 slows and pulls off. 551 shows good speed through the race. Russell's away and gone for the win.

Ten cars for the €900 Dash for the Cash race. Dash for the Cash Race Result: 1st The veteran Ron Kroonder (217). Top 5: 1st 217, 592, 332, 191 and 53 25 races today in 6hrs. A great two days racing from all formulae. Hard hits, rollovers and close racing. A big congratulations to the organisers.Track prep, grid line ups and caution/restarts all done with no delays. Turnaround between races very rapid with no hanging about looking at an empty track 👍👍 -
