  2. Thanks for the feedback, Dave. Not quite word for word though; I try to correct any spelling and grammatical mistakes, plus any factual errors, and format it nicely before I post it on here. Nah. There will be no meltdowns. Congratulations to Daniel S, who correctly predicted the time of the first comment about the admission price. All I'm doing is collecting relevant information and collating it on these Meeting Preview threads in the hope that it's useful for somebody. Unless I specifically say so, I'm not posting on behalf of any promoter, the BSCDA, or anyone else. Any queries or complaints about any aspect of this meeting should be made directly to Skegness Stadium on 0844 559 1228 or enquiries@skegness-stadium.info
  3. Important traffic information for anyone travelling to Skegness via Boston and the A16 Latest phase of Boston Quadrant roadworks nears completion Temporary traffic lights and a series of weekend road closures will be needed to complete the latest works for the Chestnut Homes Quadrant development. Two way temporary traffic lights will be in place on the A16 from Monday 5 to Friday 16 September to allow the completion of kerbing, footways and ducting works on the west side of the roundabout. The lights will be in place 24hrs a day and will be manually controlled to keep traffic flowing as much as possible. However, some delays are likely, particularly at peak periods. Drivers may wish to consider alternative routes or vary the times of their journeys where possible. There will then be a series of weekend closures so the carriageway can be surfaced. These closures will run from 7pm Friday to 6am Monday on the following weekends. •16-19 September •23-26 September •30 September -3 October •7-10 October •14-17 October The travelling public are asked to read and follow the information on the temporary signage that will be in place during the works. On behalf of the developer, we apologise in advance for any delays or disruption to people’s journeys during this final stage. Latest info here on the Lincolnshire Council website

  12. I can only take the credit for copying and pasting it. This meeting is the first round of the 2016 National Points Championship Shoot Out, and is also the first 2017 World Qualifying Round. Also on the bill is the National Ministox World Final, plus the V8 Hot Stox. The Micro Stock Cars are on in the morning, though I don't have an actual time for them. The F1s start at 1pm. There will be a couple of other races before that, starting 12.30pm.
  13. The UK's 'best' venue on the loose for the most dramatic Stock Car Racing on the planet! Loomer Raod, built in 1973 may be one of BriSCA's most grass roots venues BUT it hosts the very best in action packed Stock Car Racing, you just haven't seen proper Stock Car Racing if you haven't visited Chesterton, known as STOKE due to being part of the famed five towns of the Potteries! Track and pit area wise the venue has undergone a £60,000 revamp with a brand new relaid track, remodelled infield and major infrastructure work in terms of drainage and other improvements - but there will be lots more to come in future seasons. However, no point being Daytona if what appears on the stage doesn't deliver, an area Stoke never ever fails to provide. Sunday 11th September sees the intense competition for the Silver Roof get underway - The drivers raced the first half of the season to make the 'cut' in NASCAR style! Over 100 drivers have competed the 2016 season and at the July cut off, as listed below the 12 drivers below made the final cut - and the scores are reset for a titanic battle across several rounds across the UK, the 11th being the first to be in the hunt for the Silver roof come the double point finale at Belle Vue on October 31st. This series has not yet since it's introduction, failed to deliver pulsating action and an intriguing final line up for the Grand Final - Over 40 BriSCA F1's are expected. But, that's not all! We are proud to host the 2016 Big One for the National Ministox, their Gold roof race and around the confines of Stoke and the unpredictability, it promises awesome action for these talented oval racing youngsters, the cream of UK Junior oval motorsport competitors. And, if all that wasn't enough, we have the V8 Stock Cars and nowwhere are they more 'alive' than Loomer Road! The stadium offers front straight elevated, terraced viewing and a covered Grandstand and raceview bar plus fast food. You can also spread out and picnic on the vast grass banks around the raceway and simply sit back and enjoy the racing [ bring your chairs + picnic for a great family day out! ] Easy access to the pits to get up close to the cars and stars and grab a few autographs! The F1 Shoot Out Contenders! 1 Frankie Wainman 16 Matt Newson 445 Nigel Green 212 Daniel Wainman 220 Will Hunter 318 Rob Speak 2 Paul Harrison 4 Dan Johnson 217 Lee Fairhurst 55 Craig Finnikin 150 Mick Sworder 84 Tom Harris

  18. If I had, I'd have posted it. But I can't help thinking that it would be a shorter list if it was the drivers that aren't going. Here's a list of all the drivers to have already raced this year - just pick a hundred of them at random and there's a good chance most of them will be there on Saturday. I know that sometimes a booking list can help sway people who are 50/50 about going to a meeting (that's why I post them), but Saturday is going to be well over 100 F1s in 11 races. I honestly can't believe there's anybody that's waiting to see the booking list before they decide to go?
