  1. Welcome to Skegness day two folks. Pre-meeting pit news: 543 - Rad change. 452 - Gearbox out. Engine mounting repair req'd. Not racing today. 345 - Rad replaced. L/h half shaft changed.
  2. GN Notes: 295 leads away. An explosive start with monster hits going in at both ends. 157 and 408 fire themselves into the turn 3 fence amongst a big sort out within the 'A' grade. Caution to remove the stranded 263 car who has clattered the turn 1 fence with great force. 295 heads the restart. 1 fires H248 into the turn 3 fence. 212 lines up 20 with a big hit in turn 3 next time around. 217 collects the stationary H248 car which brings out the caution to move the Netherlands man to safety. 295 heads this restart. 318 climbs over 269 exiting turn 2. 8 tops the big hitters of the night with a near follow in of 157 in turn 1. Caution to move 90 to safety after stopping on the inside of the back straight. 147 heads the restart. 318 and 216 slow on the home straight. 1 retires with a flat right front. Caution to move 216 to the infield. 147 has 515 behind for this next restart. Frankie makes a challenge for the lead on the exit of turn 4 but suddenly slows and pulls off. As Eddie takes the win 73 fires 295 into the turn 3 fence to take the position. That's it folks. Back tomorrow πŸ‘
  3. Final Focus: 295 leads away. Off we go with a duo of big hits from 1 on 515 into turn 1, and 16 in turn 3. 408 is broadside on the exit of turn 4 with a flat left rear. 515 retires with the loss of the right front tyre casing. With the exception of 1 who has gapped them the Shooters lose time battling amongst themselves. 1 fires 318 into 8 entering turn 3 to advance his position. H124 fires a big group into turn 1. 498 puts the biggest hit of the meeting so far on 175 into turn 3. Caution to retrieve the 515 casing. 295 heads the restart from 381. H124 and 157 engage in battle for a lap. 381 into the lead and pulling clear. The Shooters are still circulating as a pack. 8 spins in turn 4. 463 slows on the home straight. Caution at 5 to go. 381, 216 and 1 head this last restart. Tyrone has tremendous speed and leaves his pursuers for dead. 216 makes it difficult for 1 to take his 2nd place position. The last couple of laps sees the 1 car only marginally make any ground on the 381 rocketship. Tyrone is sufficiently far enough out of reach to fall foul of a Hitman last bender. A great race πŸ‘
  4. Consolation Catch Up: 295 leads away. 141 and 326 tangle on the opening lap in turn 3 and stop against the fence. 287, 263, 8 and 368 get fired into them extremely hard by the following pack. Both 263 and 287 become airborne. Caution. All ok. 295 heads the restart. Caution flags straight after the green for a stranded 300 against the home straight fence. 318 is well up the field at this stage and sets off on the rampage. The first to get it is 226 into turn 3. Every credit to Darren who tries to repay the hit into turn 1 but misses. Next 484 cops for a big'un in turn 3, followed by a dispatch of 295 and Rob is into a race winning position. A caution for a stranded 524 against the home straight fence. 318 heads the restart. The closing laps see a good four car battle between 463, 345, H248 & 295.
  5. Heat Two Happenings: 505 leads away. 1 fires 20 into turn 3 on the opener. Liam gets sent onto a sideways trajectory through the turn. 242 hits the turn 3 fence in a shower of sparks. H248 and 555 spin out in turns 1 & 2. Caution. 408 heads the restart. 505 rides over the front end of 132 down the home straight. 408 is extending his lead with ease. 132 tangles with 226 in turn 3. 505 and 378 spin in tandem midway through turns 3 & 4. The last lap sees a huge hit from 1 on 25 into turn 3. This collects 73 who half spins on the exit of turn 4. Tom crosses the line and promptly clouts the fence on the outside of turn 1. Ant takes the win.
  6. Heat One Happenings: 295 leads away. 318 piles em' up into turn 3. H124 and 124 tangle on the back straight which hinders the cars following behind. The Shooters blast by up the inside. 318 fires H124 into turn 1 which sends 463 hard into the fence. Caution for stranded cars. 295 heads the restart. 543 whacks 8 wide into turn 3. 381 is moving towards the front at a rate of knots. H124 hooks onto the rear bumper of 318. 381 into the lead. 217 fires 157 into turn 3. The last lap sees a big hit from 515 on 217 into turn 3 which gains Frankie the place. Tyrone takes the victory.
  7. Welcome to Skegness folks. W & Y Charlie Finnikin Memorial Race Recap: 505 leads away. 295 into an early lead. 559 in the 55 shale car stops on the home straight on lap 2. Caution. 295 heads the restart. As the pack fight amongst themselves Louis pulls clear. 132 is on the move and goes into 2nd. 505, 195, 226 come to grief in turn 3. At halfway it is still 295 up front. 147 fires 90 into the turn 3 fence. With 3 to go 132 has closed the gap to 295 but is too far back to make a last bend challenge.

  9. GN Notes: 580 leads away and goes the wrong side of the concrete blocks coming to the green and stops on the pitch. A wingless 515 spins in turn 4. 289 does likewise in turn 3. 299 leads. 211 gets chucked off line into the turn 1 fence on successive laps. 299 retires on the back straight. 31 leads at halfway. 1 is making light work of the 1 lap handicap. 5 to go and 16 is closing on the race leader. 16 hits 31 wide in turn 3 to take the lead at 2 to go. Mat is slowed by the track surface in turns 1 & 2 which gives Oliver the chance to make his move. He ends 16's race by hitting the car into a slow moving 238 on the outside of the back straight. Caution to disentangle the cars. 31 heads the restart. 501 and 289 clash in turn 1 and bounce off the fence. 1 catches 31 exiting turn 4 and passes him with a side shuffle as they head for 1 to go.   10. Final Focus: 404 leads away. 548 into the lead on lap 1. 8 retires with a flat right front on lap 1. A four car pack of 16, 217, 55 and 1 enter turn 3 together with the World Champ powering past all three on the exit of turn 4 to leave them floundering in his wake. The track surface in turn 1 has deteriorated further resulting in the cars bouncing off line. The rear wheels are being lifted off the ground at certain points of the turn. 515 attempts to fend off the 1 car but has to give second best to the track surface throwing him off the racing line. 16 tags 501 into a spin in turn 4. At halfway it is 548 still in the lead. 211 loops it in turn 3. 299 now leads. 55 retires. 501 baulks the race leader down the back straight and 587 is through to the top spot. 3 to go and 1 takes a race winning lead. 587 suffers a flat in the closing laps and loses a couple of places.
  11. Pit News: 217 - Adjusting rear shocks. 525 - Clutch gone. 289 - Adjusting right rear lower link. 364 - Update on the engine cut out in the Consi. The car had jumped out of gear and Rob knocked the kill switch off getting it back in gear.
  12. Consolation Catch Up: 163 leads away. 299 does a 360 on the exit of turn 2. An early caution for a stranded 67 on the entrance to turn 3. 163 heads the restart. 525 retires before the green flag. 548 into the lead. 163 spins in turn 4. 364's engine dies on the exit of turn 2 leaving Rob stuck in the middle of the back straight. Fortunately it refires quickly and he is on his way. 548 loses the lead with a bad line through turn 4. 499 into a short lived lead. 55 blasts past at halfway and sets sail for the win.
  13. Heat Two Happenings: 44 leads away. A number of spinners in turn 4 in the early laps including 163, 16 and 185. 338 is stuck on the infield kerb on the exit of turn 4 for a lap. 415 leads. 55 has a right rear let go. 1 into the lead before halfway. 587 passes 457 for 2nd. The World Champ is taking the high line through the turns whereas Sam is holding the inside line and is visibly faster. He catches Tom at 2 to go and shoves him aside to move into a race winning lead for his 2nd victory of the meeting.
  14. Heat One Happenings: 580 leads away. 299, 580 and 525 spin on the turn 4 exit. This corner catches a few out in the early laps. 67 leads. 364 spins in turn 4 and stalls. 499 leads. 463 hooks the top rope in turn 4 and nearly rolls. The race leading 499 car spins it coming out of turn 4. Turn 1 is throwing the cars off line with the surface breaking up. 289 leads at halfway. 515 loses a spot to 217 who slows a couple of laps later. Lee drops two places to 515 and 175. Jake has extended his lead and takes the victory.
  15. Pit News: 31 - Welding front bumper. 364 - Changing front left hub. Luke 464 on the spanners. 238 - Front right corner bracing requires rework. 185 - Lenny changing the left rear disc. 404 - Danny welding the left rear corner after pulling the bumper in with a ratchet strap. 499 - Fitting a replacement front left hub after the original got removed in the W & Y Final. 530 - Sorting a misfire.
  16. I was planning to miss this one to head down to St Day but that has been cancelled so welcome to Bradford folks. W & Y Final Focus: 35 leads away. 364 stops on the back straight coming to the green. 587 into the lead on lap 1. 580, 338, 530 and 499 end up locked together at the end of the home straight. Caution to move the 499 and 530 cars. 587 heads the restart from 548. 299 is spun by 501 in turn 1. 186 spins in turn 3 with 268 going round in turn 4. 185 and 501 lock together on the exit of turn 4 and head for the concrete blocks. 44, 186 and 163 are stranded against the turn 3 and 4 fence. Caution. 587 heads this restart. 457 fires in 238 and 163 into the turn 3 fence. 299 and 163 spin in tandem in turn 4. At halfway 587 has the length of a straight lead over 457. Sam keeps this gap to the end and takes the win
  17. Many thanks to Nigel Anderson for the following update concerning last night's Final result: After 4 hours of messaging/emailing both 157 and 515 have been removed from the result. It now reads 1(84), 212, 8, 217, 501, 16, 20, 2, 259, 242, 73, 166
  18. An update on the Final result. 157 failed the post race weigh in. 515 also under investigation for weight. No confirmed amended result at this time. That's it folks. I'll be back from Skegness πŸ‘
  19. GN RESULT: 157 - 8 - 212 - 501 - 16 - 2 - 20 - 217 - 25 - 463 - 287 - 1 DNF: 499 - 73 - 381 - 178

GN NOTES: 559 leads away. 499 and 73 lock together on the home straight and career onto the centre. 8 and 515 are on a charge. 501 does a slide job on 505 into turn 1 who then whacks the fence. 8 now leads with Tom playing wingman against the 157 torpedo. Notwithstanding this Adam makes his move to take the top spot from Catherine at 3 to go and sets sail for the win.
