  1. 2023 F2 World Final Result: 7 3 918 24 560 B96 968 992 801 & 578. That's it for this year folks. This time next week we should know the 2023 F1 World Champ 👍
  2. 7 away again on this 3rd start. The 183 challenge is over as soon as he clips the inner kerb into turn 1 whilst dive-bombing the Flying Fifer. Gordon increases his lead up front as the field circulate in single file. The latter half of the race sees a good battle develop between 918, 24 and 560. A caution with 1 lap remaining after a big hit from 127 on 183 into turn 1. The pair repeat the move into turn 3 with Matt driving Charlie up the fence. A wheel is ripped off the 183 car. The one lap restart is 7 - 3 - 918 - 560 - 24. This leading bunch bang into each other nose to tail coming to the flag. Liam's jumps out of gear and Gordon creates a gap. Entering turn 3 for the last time the 3 car tries a high speed last bender but misses and whacks the fence. Gordon Moodie is the 2023 World Champ! Top 3: 7 3 918
  3. The remaining cars all move forward and grid up. The second start sees the 7 car away again with the gap to 183 too great for Charlie to mount a first bend challenge. Caution for a stranded 184 and 718. 915 out of the race. The single file restart will give Guinchy another chance to take the 7 car on.
  4. Gordon is away off the front and leaves the field behind. 560 through into 2nd with Guinchy stuck on the outside losing places. Caution called to remove stranded cars after the first lap pile ups further down the field. Complete restart called. Damaged cars are not allowed to be worked on. The race will restart minus a few of the top lads: 647, 226, 16, 783 and 776 are all out.

GN Notes: 548 leads away. 216, NZ31 & 238 all spin in turn 3. 97 blitzes 217 and 55 in turn 3 with Lee and Craig whacking the fence. 525 and 346 collide in turn 3 with Ashley stuck momentarily in turn 4. 555, 8 and 501 go around in turn 3. 97 is flying through the field with some class hits. 84 barges 16 aside exiting turn 2 in a shower of sparks. 457 spins in front of his car builder in turn 4. With 97 now leading there is a caution for stranded cars. Ryan retires with a flat right rear before the restart. Restart with 84 from 16. Tom fails to get going and gets whacked by 35 onto the home straight kerb where he remains. 16 and 217 engage in a lead battle only to trip over each other on the exit of turn 4. After a good recovery from his earlier spin 216 is through and away to the victory. That's it folks. I'll be back from the WF weekend 👍
  11. Pit News: 515 - Engine u/s. 212 - Working on the rear panhard rod assy. 530 - Rear axle split.
  12. Final Focus: 67 leads away. 555 and NZ26 tangle on the first lap entering the home straight. JJ is left facing the wrong way. 335 hits an infield tyre on the back straight kerb entering turn 3 and gets launched skyward with 525 piling in. 530 is also involved with 335 becoming stuck in the middle of turns 3 & 4. A caution is called after 216 collects the stranded 335. All ok. 67 heads the restart. 84 shoves 55 wide down the back straight which sends a backmarker up the fence. 216 has a dig at the 84 back bumper into turn 1 as Tom makes his way through. The 35 car does likewise to 84 a lap later. 97 arrives on the scene to take 84 on. We are treated to a few laps of a great dice between the two aces before Ryan leaves him in his wheeltracks. 5 to go and it is 18 leading with 97 closing. With some uncompromising hits on anyone in his way he is getting ever closer. The 18 car develops an engine problem in the closing stages but despite this, and a change of line by 97 down the back straight he holds on for a popular win.
  13. Consolation Catch Up: 424 leads away. 31, 501, 580 and 414 all spin out in turn 3 in the early going. 8 is sent around in turn 4 by 289. Caution to move the stranded 414, 31, 404 and 127 cars from turns 3 & 4 with 163 also stuck on the home straight. 364 heads the restart. Within a few laps another caution for a stranded H337 on the home straight. 364, NZ1 and 525 lead this restart. At halfway Asher is catching Rob. 5 to go the move is made as NZ1 launches the car at the side of 364 into turn 1 and moves ahead. Rob loses a further three spots after being sent off-line. A dive by 525 into turn 1 at 3 to go sees Nigel take the top spot from the New Zealander. Shortly after this the right rear lets go on NZ1. A popular win for the ever cheerful 525 pilot.

Pit News: 217 - Changing rear panhard rod. 53 - Front axle bent, and links sheared on the left side. 31 - Front axle bent, and front right corner bent back. 364 - Changing front panhard rod. 44 - Front right brake disc shattered. 93 - Car returned on a tele-handler with Sam following in the Yorstox infield pick-up with the wing. NZ34 - Replacing right rear lower link.
  15. Heat Two Happenings: 548 leads away. 555 loops it in turn 3. 525 & 238 follow suit a lap later. 212 puts a move on 97 into turn 3 and both enter the home straight side by side. Ryan edges ahead. 217 gives 289 the hurry up to get out of his way down the back straight as 97 is looming large. 67 stops in the turn 4 fence. 364 sends 163 into an infield tyre on the exit of turn 4. 53 is facing the wrong way on the entrance to the home straight. Caution for stranded cars. 548 & 31 head the restart. 31, 587, NZ26 & 404 come to grief piling up in turn 3. Caution to remove the cars. 93 heads the restart from 217, 97 & 515 at halfway. 93 puts up a valiant effort to hold 217 & 97 back but to no avail as both sweep past at 6 to go. Caution at 4 to go for a stranded 404 on the back straight kerb. 217, 97, 93 & 515 head the restart. At 3 to go 515 drives 93 up the turn 3 fence which sees Sam roll it with the wing ending up further down the track. All ok. Caution. 217, 97 & 212 head this restart. At 2 to go Ryan spins Lee out in turn 2 and sets sail for the win. As the laps wind down 242 has a moment on the exit of turn 4 trapping 212 which loses Danny a valuable top 5 place.
  16. Heat One Happenings: 271 leads away. H337 & 501 spin it in turn 3 early on. A lap later 335 does likewise. 55 is slowed by 335 on the exit of turn 2 allowing 84 to move through. 84 gives 16 a hit into turn 3 and both bounce off each other through the turn 4 exit. NZ1 & 55 swipe the turn 3 fence as they power through the turn. 457 now leads. NZ1 does a 360 in turn 3. 271, 335 and 8 tangle together in the middle of turns 3 & 4. Caution for the stranded 271 car. 457 heads the restart from 216 & 346. 84 and 55 blast past Ashley straight after the green. Halfway. Craig leans on Tom and gains the position through turn 1. 359 is slow in the middle of the back straight. The following cars have to choose which side to pass. Caution for the stranded 359. The restart at 4 to go has 457 leading from 55 and 84. In the closing stages 84 challenges 55 into turn 1 but drifts wide and loses time. Callum takes the win with a well maintained gap to Craig.
  17. Welcome to Odsal folks. W & Y Race Recap: 424 leads away. 163 goes around in turn 1 on the opener. 548 is on a charge and side impacts 44 in turn 3. Tom is sent up the fence and loses the right front wheel as it connects with a fence post. Caution. 424 heads the restart. 548 makes a move for the lead exiting turn 4 but the left rear lets go after contact with 424. 67 sweeps through to the top spot. 580 spins it in turn 4. Under pressure from 2nd placed 31 sees 67 clip an infield tyre on the turn 4 exit. Oliver pushes him sideways down the home straight and both stop by the starter. Caution. 18 heads this restart from 238. 424 fires 35 into the turn 3 fence. At 1 to go 18 suffers a flat right rear. 424 tangles with him on the turn 2 exit. 238 takes the win.

  21. WF qualifier from semi 1 Chris Burgoyne wins the Final therefore the inside line for the WF is assigned to all the qualifiers from semi 1. Semi 2 qualifiers will all be on the outside. WF grid: 7 183 560 3 16 783 647 880 127 992 915 776 890 980 24 801 390 226 100 285 Additional entrants to be seeded in accordingly.
  22. 183 makes a good start to open up a slight gap to 880. 3 moves closer to the lead two and this trio break clear of the pack. 783 is one of the few moving forwards through the field. 3 closes in on 880 and passes for 2nd. At halfway 183 is amongst the back markers and has to commit to finding the right line around the cars hoping they don't change their line. 880 has now got 783, 776 and 992 bearing down on him. At 5 to go 3 has got 183 in his sights and puts the bumper to him into the downhill turn 3 and takes the position. Liam has a short lived home straight lead until Charlie pays him back with a decent hit into turn 1. The 3 car rattles the fence but continues without damage. At 4 to go 783 passes 880. The remaining laps pass without incident. Result: 183 3 783 880 992 776 980 801 226 285. The highest finishing WF qualifier in today's meeting Final will start the WF on the inside row with the rest of his Semi-Final qualifiers. The other Semi qualifiers will all start on the outside row.
