  1. Mark Atkins has just confirmed he now has a position on the semi final grid at Sheffield.
  2. Mr Bromley has his car sorted according to Facebook. Even managed some sneaky practise around kings Lynn to blow off the shale racing cobwebs. 👍
  3. Maybe it's just a case in previous years someone hasn't cancelled from the second semi final before the first semi has run? Last year no one dropped out of the second semi final. http://bscda.co.uk/semi-final-grids-2015/4589849145
  4. That's how I understood it. Using the reserves at Sheffield first then at Buxton. Hadnt seen the updated list on the Buxton website. Congratulations 152 Neil Scothern and welcome to the semi finals.
  5. I did consider that. What made me think maybe not was the fact that Startrax released the news. My thinking why would they release news of the second reserve coming in without mentioning the first reserve also having a place? If he has a place congratulations and hope to see him at Sheffield.
  6. I'd assume so. As Neil was first reserve and Karl Roberts second. So I would assume Neil chose not to take a place and Karl was granted the place.
  7. It was my mistake I took a look at last years belle vue results and the gaps are there. I think the world final the gaps disappear if someone can't take their place or am I mistaken again?
  8. Luke has used Rob's car at the 2014/2015 semi finals. So unless it predates that. My only thinking is the Cecil Tarmac car Tom has been using.
  9. Interesting. Wonder what car he will use. At a guess it'll be whatever Luke will use at Sheffield.
  10. 186 is the car that has withdrawn to allow 313 to take his place. Startrax post on Facebook.
  11. Also 300 is without a shale car. I think 14 previously said he was doing the semi regardless of which one he got. Someone on Facebook said 464 would be racing the Tarmac car that Harris has been using. But I'd take that with a pinch as the same person said Tom wasn't doing Buxton which has been disproved by Tom himself.
  12. Karl Roberts mentioned on Twitter that he now has a place on the Sheffield Semi final grid.
  13. Also not mentioned anywhere on the trackstar site is the fact it's Euro championship time for the v8s Taken from the fixture list on the v8 website. The second the seasons big Championships sees the Hotstox head East to Saddlebow Road to battle for the European Championship. Last years event produced one of the best races of the season with 328 Michael Boswell taking a popular win. World Qualifying points also up for grabs.
  14. Who is 444? Think that should be 445. He finished 3rd in heat 1 444 was PJ lemons.
  15. Statement from Steve on face book. Please note that we have taken BriSCA F2's off at Sheffield on 31st July due to the F1WCSF and pit space [ we hope to re arrange this fixture for September ] With around 70 cars expected with F1 and V8 combined with sizes of transporters, we believe this will help the smooth flow of the meeting without congesting the pits / outside. We will advise a new date in due course. This will make it a 10 race schedule like back in May. Worked really well.
  16. Carl. I don't recall practise last year on Sunday. I compared the lists and your right the Dutch are not included neither is 28 Tom Boyer on the bscda list.
  17. Paul Ford had some interesting insights on Facebook. In NL they have to run American Racers all around. So when it rains they have to buy the American Racer shale tyre rather than any old rally tyre. All good for the multi surface drivers but for someone like Paul he can't run the rally tyre he uses in the Uk. Also I think pretty much every car needs new silences. Certainly from the pre photos last year 515 & 231 from memory shared pictures of their new silences being fitted. The other insight Paul shared and this is something Frankie has shared before. To be competing you need to buy new brakes and pads I am pretty sure Frankie said that on his #ovaltalk post meeting interview.
  18. Me and my bro did that for a couple of weekenders back in the day, and then realised it was more fun to spend the cash for the B&B in the bar, and then sleep in the car. I am not that hard core. I struggle to sleep in a hotel room let alone a car
  19. They really are doing their best to attract the weekender crowd, aren't they? For £25.00 for one night in a field full of sheep poo, just greed. I spent an extra £15 and got a hotel with a bed, shower and an all you can eat breakfast.
  20. Hate to burst the bubble but 84 Tom Harris is in the USA until the 19th so won't be defending his title.
