  1. I think what Rod was getting at was the fact that it could have been like the Shootout rather than qualifying for a one off race. In hindsight, it could possibly have been done that way and may have tempted more drivers to do more rounds (like Buxton) and with the points being as close as they were going into King's Lynn last week it could have allowed drivers to play their Joker at the next one (which we now know won't take place next week). It could have been an interesting final round rather than just a one off race but even so, a one of race could well be interesting too. There is no right and wrong really in this case as around mid-July it looked like we wasn't going to get any racing at all this year so for me, I'm just thankful that I was able to attend and see some excellent racing, even at Buxton in the terrible weather. Let's all hope that we can have a more normal season in 2021!
  2. No worries Dave 👍 Also, I'd like to apologise if my comment came across in the wrong way. I clearly didn't read it back and I hope it was received in the way it was meant, which was just an explanation. I'm normally good at reading how something may sound and clearly failed here 🤦🏻‍♂️
  3. Dave - they didn't turn down the 8 Dutch to race. If the Dutch came over they would have to go into self isolation straight away for 14 days as per government rules so wouldn't be allowed to race anyway.
  4. We know the lockdown series has been popular and with lockdown being in place it made sense to take this approach to keep people entertained. Imagine this lockdown had happened 15+ years ago! There has been three different types of interviews in terms of Off Track series so far: 1. The original Off Track, asking questions drivers have never been asked before and to get an insight into the drivers lives away from the track. 2. Off Track Small Talk, an intended season build up at MWA. Looking back, Looking forward. 3. Off Track Lockdown, using the opportunity that lockdown brought to get a real insight into a drivers thoughts, opinions, and careers. All taken with an approach of 'as a fan of the sport what would you ask if you could'. We know there's more to explore in this area but we don't want to use up everything at once which is why a break is coming soon but the content doesn't stop there. We will be bringing more out in differing formats which we hope you will all enjoy.
  5. All of the questions asked on the night of the dinner dance followed the same format for this series and we (the PR team) wanted to ask questions other than just stock car related ones. It was a way to get an insight into a drivers life away from the tracks. We have various interviews lined up for the 2020 season which we are sure fans will enjoy and we have plenty of time to ask plenty of questions going forward. For a first attempt at something that hasn't been done this way before and the fact it comes from an official source, it appears to have been a huge success and everyone wants to build on that success. As a fan first and foremost, having an official body providing these sort of things is what has been missing from the sport and it's fantastic that it's now happening. Also, the BSCDA website has been having a makeover behind the scenes and should be available very soon.
  6. Yes, we are aware the sound isn't optimal and we are looking into solutions going forward. As you can probably tell, they were all (bar one or two) filmed in the same location and all on the same night.
  7. 48 and 501 are both booked in according to Incarace website. 48 cars in total are booked in.
  8. It was a great achievement by Finn but I do believe the youngest ever final winner is still FWJ. He won his first final on 1st November 1987 which was just over 3 weeks after his 16th birthday.
  9. All being well, yes...apparently, there are plans for JD to ensure suitable season-long grid positions for both #1 and #4 immediately in front of #84 and #464 Is that to keep #464 out of the way?
  10. Today the dutch will race for the 1st wildcard for the World Final. It will be a extra heat on the end of the day. Not sure about the Falding's.
  11. Had a feeling that would happen. Was told by a driver that 175 must have been on the infield for 2 laps at least.
  12. GN result 220-321-422-34-4-16-175-515-212-2 Only top 10 given. Ricky - there could be a change in the result. You'll need to speak to someone to find out as I've been told that one or two cars may not have been in the top 10.
  13. Yellows out for 421. All ok. Restart 321-217(lap down)-390(lap down)
  14. GN White 32 501 268 134 Yellow 207 105 237 175 463 313 224 Blue 321 37 422 338 12 335 462 34 Red 53 220 202 191 445 94 S/S 55 16 4 390 212 318 217 515 Back of the grid 306 421 2 from lap handicap
  15. Final result 2-318-55-462-217-212-335-220-94-53-175-390
