  1. I`ve submitted my samples for testing Peter but have yet to see Danny Wainman out with them for some unknown reason.....
  2. Race was scheduled at 5.30pm in the fixture list last year (that was probably planned August 2016) and it may be a bit busier with it being the V8 British (possible parade lap) so the Whites Yellows has been brought forward (??)and the promotor has highlighted this. To be honest Trackstar and Buster are very good at this sort of announcement after some confusion last year or year before when the excellent Whites / Yellows was started, it`s at least in the public domain. Damn fine thinking by Paul Butler and Buster though - due to the over pedantic nature of Stock Car fans calling it race a or 0 has now been highlighted, even to the point of it being compared in unimportance, relative to the other races. I reckon next month call it Race; `Ming the Merciless from Planet Zogg` or perhaps `pre meeting race that's not important but at least we are bringing it to your attention` and with the internet frenzy caused everyone will know about it in no time. I`ve been a big criticiser of this `pre-meeting` thing in the past but that was when it wasn`t announced and I once missed a W/Y`s race at Lynn when they first started but as long as it`s announced and highlighted early on the web pages, social media and on here then it`s fine by me. Oh to be a promoter............
  3. Agree Alan - a great interview done by beaks with Sierd in the April Lynn programme, he certainly has an entertaining driving style (as long as the front wheels stay on).
  4. Judging by a few comments on FB (one off a driver) there are 48 F1`s booked in with 8 on the reserve list - I assume there has been a limit put on the F1`s perhaps due to pit space ??? - we will just have to wait and see who are the 48 are.
  5. Never had a single issue getting away from Coventry, straight out and no one trying to get in my way Kingpin - mind you for some reason the normal barge my way in brigade never seemed to want to argue with 4 ton of battered David Brown tractor
  6. 52 cars - blimey that's a good turnout, might be worth a trip with that many......anyone would think the WF was being held there this year. Wonder what Riggerman charges for B&B in his garage..
  7. Some interesting post race comments being made in that write up......
  8. Before I`m lulled into going with all this pre-meeting bumper car turnout hype........... it`s a shale track I take it..
  9. Spiderman, to be honest its not BRISCA but the BSCDA have upped their game this year with some meeting previews and also race reports on their website which tend to be put on here or shared on the various FB and twitter pages - it`s taken some time for the powers to grasp the power of the tinterweb but they are very well done with Neil Randon being behind it all on behalf of the BSDCA. and are worth a look. Mind you, are they are just following the lead done by a well known F1 fan page / forum .....
  10. Hi, anyone know when the promoters or BSCDA websites will be updated...??
  11. I found this one on the internet as well Carl..
  12. Fines based on your weekly income!!! - as a member of the motor trade that's me ok then - it`s these high charging and even higher paid accountants I feel for
  13. 31st July 2005 was the 53/391 hook up on turn 1 and then half the field piling in - the pictures are in the gallery - I would put a link but I still can`t fathom out the copy / paste feature on here using Yorkshire Tinterweb . Spent a while searching for the DoD topic as well till I realised Stoxnet hadn`t created them back then.
  14. Last time it was there in 2005 it was an event full race I seem to remember . If I remember the 2013 Buxton event and the low car turnout I think there were a few predicting that `The End is Nigh` even back then.
  15. According to F1stockcars.com race write up 42 cars were present. Not yet full nerd but trying ++ disclaimer ++ - I suspect the info for the article was obtained from a higher level nerd
  16. Perhaps the valeter is off sick this week? - compound full of vans to wash and wax perhaps???.
  17. I don`t think they do run it last race in the season Carl - it was the same last year on the 19th March for the Lynn opener, that started with the White and Yellows championship race for the 2015 season - it`s also an odd one as you can get blue tops in the championship race who have gone up from W/Y from the previous year (Ben Riley raced last years race from Blue). Mind you last year everyone was distracted by that wedge/hearse thingy that appeared in the same meeting
  18. Is there a booking list out..............sorry couldn`t resist
  19. Perhaps they only put the clocks back `half an hour` by mistake instead of the full hour at the weekend . I`m sure JH / Simon or our pre-meeting info guru Carl will confirm afore the weekend
  20. Cheers for the heads up Dave - need to have an early dash down now - should be a good meeting Cheers Andy.
  21. Saloons are racing Sunday only. Must have been about 20 seconds in it Keith!!
  22. Are there any fireworks planned.........................
  23. That line up for the consi is anyone`s - there are some proper shale specialists in that race
  24. Current Plan is the first F1 race green flag dropping @ 7pm............. that is from Simon Bennion. Cheers Andy
  25. Is Joe getting cheesed off with sticking it on it`s roof and letting his Dad or Brother have a go this weekend
