  1. Great interview, thank you to Jonathan and Andy. Some very honest answers from Andy, and some opinions very much in line with my own. A little surprised he went for John Lund as the GOAT though!!🤔
  2. Contact the author, Stuart Milnes.....stuart.milnes@btinternet.com or PM him on here, he will sort you out very promptly.
  3. There are loads of "same name" drivers.....half a dozen Dave Smiths, 5 Chris Smiths and 5 James Smiths.....3 each of Dave and John Taylor and loads of pairs such as Alan Jackson, Alan Wilson etc etc There may have been a few drivers called Stuart Smith......but there was only one Stuart Smith!!…...if you know what I mean
  4. Many thanks to Jane and Nic.....superb service as ever
  5. Many thanks once again for the results service. Neil
  6. Well, I have to say that the discussion regarding this incident is considerably more civilised than the exchanges on "the book of faces" yesterday! Well done people, the same incident being discussed and analysed in the way it should, without any name calling and bad feeling. Sadly, as I wasn't there I can't really comment, but find it very interesting that this newish tactic is being employed from time to time. Not sure that I necessarily approve of it, but it certainly adds another dimension to the dynamics of a big race! Neil
  7. No, it's his second, Chris FORT (not blaming you, perhaps spell checker?) won at Skeggy in 2008. To add to his many, many V8 Hotstox final and championship wins. Neil
  8. Many thanks to Nic and Jane for the results service, much appreciated by us stay at homes as it always is. Neil
  9. I'm sure they are......just as long as they don't programme them in the middle of the meeting like they did at Swaffham many years ago! The V8 Hotstox were racing there and had to wait an eternity for the track to be cleared due to the "dodgy" scheduling of the meeting. I'm sure (hope) it will be the final race of the meeting on this occasion though. Neil
  10. Roger and James bought a car (well, a rolling chassis) from Carl Pickering a few years ago now. It was the one previously owned and raced by Dean Whitwell.......the one he rolled at NiR I think. It was obviously a tar car, but the intention from team Bailey was to convert it and run it on shale. Whether it is this car or another that Roger will be racing remains to be seen. Neil
  11. Many thanks to Nic and Jane for the results and to Ricky for the National Series updates, all much appreciated. Neil
  12. Hmmmmm.........heat 1.........think Mr Gibson might be going a bit faster than that!! Neil
  13. But the question still remains ......how has the first reserve got into the (chronologically) second semi final? Is it to do with the first driver to actually cancel his booking gives the first opportunity to the reserve list? Therefore if Billy cancelled early, ie before Todd, then the first reserve takes that place regardless of whether it is the first or second semi? Neil
  14. On THIS day in history (12th June) in 1955 there was the first of only 2 meetings ever run at Connington (the other was a month later on 17th July). Both meeting finals were won by Percy Betts. This is a new track to me, never heard of it before, and even the defunct tracks website doesn't mention it.......I don't even know where it was .....Connington airfield perhaps? Can anyone shed any further light on this track? Neil
  15. Many thanks to everyone involved for the results, both last night and this afternoon. An excellent and gratefully received service as always. Neil
  16. Might be more yet.......I am aware of one driver not on the list who is hoping to do both meetings. Neil
  17. Many thanks for the results.....drier in my front room than it looked earlier at KL!! Neil
  18. Many thanks to all involved in the results this weekend......looking at the points charts after each race makes it almost as exciting as being there!! Neil
  19. It's not optional Rien, he has to take the handicap......so yes, it will have been with a lap handicap. And thanks to the results team, much appreciated as usual. Neil
