  7. There's a 'proper' car park in front of the stadium, and an overflow car park that sort of merges with the extended pits round the other side.
  8. It's actually in Newcastle. Although I suppose calling it Newcastle might lead to confusion with that city in the north east. NEVER Stockcar! It's two words. Stock Car.
  9. Can't find any other information as yet about this meeting.
  10. Looks like it's back to the previous name of Chesterton, as it was in the 1990s.

  12. From the Startrax website Let Startrax entertain you this Easter Holiday weekend with 2 great explosive events as BriSCA Stock Car Racing roars back for a new season We kick off the weekend at Chesterton Stadium, Newcastle Under Lyme near STOKE. Undoubtedly one of the sports more basic venues but boy what it may lack in gloss the action of track is always 5 star! BriSCA Formual 2 Stock Cars enter their 3rd shale weekend of the season, again with good numbers and of course we have the V8 Stock Cars, This really is a meeting not to be missed at atmospheric and nostalgic Loomer Road where tarmac's for getting there! This is cult dirt action as extreme and wild as it comes. The stadium has extensive grass banking where you can spread out and watch the whole show with the family, covered terracinjg and race view licensed bar and fast food. 13. Trackstar have issued the following press release:- Biggest big league opener for a generation! Third Fourth generation racer 25 Bradley Harrison will be making his shale F1 debut F1 Stock Car fans do not have long to wait before the formula roars into life for 2016 with the season opener scheduled for King's Lynn this Saturday 19 March (5.30pm). And roaring into life is a very apt description for Saturday's meeting. The opening fixture of the season has struggled to grid much more than 30 cars for years but such is the healthy state that BriSCA F1 finds itself in there are an incredible 50 cars currently booked in for Saturday's meeting! The entry list includes many top names headed by World Champion 318 Rob Speak and Points Champion 4 Dan Johnson together with double Lynn track champion 16 Matt Newson, 515 Frankie Wainman, 2 Paul Harrison and many more. The pits will be full of sparkling new machinery, drivers moving into F1 from other formulas, drivers racing shale for the first time such as third fourth generation racer 25 Bradley Harrison (pictured) and novices making their first move into F1. The highlight of the season for lower grade drivers takes place with £1000 Star of Tomorrow Final where the grid is based on drivers' performances in the 2015 White & Yellow races. The wait is nearly over - get ready for the thunder of V8s to roar back into life and there is only one place to see it this Saturday! Bumper 44 Page Programme To celebrate the 2016 season blast off our award winning programme team have commissioned after fantastic programme for the meeting. 44 pages and in full colour the programme is a steal at £2 and features contributions from many of the sports top pundits. There are also feature length interviews with F1 25 Bradley Harrison who is making his shale debut and Saloon Stock Car ace 730 Deane Mayes as well as much more - make sure you don't miss it!! Can Speak make it two BriSCA Final wins on the trot? F1 World Champion 318 Rob Speak returns to the scene of his golden triumph having already secured one BriSCA final success at Lynn in 2016. Speak was victorious in the F2 Stock Car World Championship QR final two weeks ago with a dominating drive - what would be the odds in Speak making it a BriSCA feature race double this Saturday? Former F1 World Champion Tom Harris in action on Sat - but not in an F1! Fans of former F1 World Champion 84 Tom Harris will be disappointed to hear his recent announcement that he is likely to be only competing in a handful of F1 meetings this year and they will be in tarmac. However they will be pleased to hear that Harris will be in action at Lynn on Saturday - but it won't be in an F1 - with Tom looking to mix it with the heavy metal brigade in the 2L Stock Cars. Tom will be racing the Banwell hire car at the meeting which is a red top car and his performance will be looked forward to by many. Tom will not be the only F1 driver in action on Saturday with 221 Shaun Blakemore in the Mayes hire machine.
  14. There are now 50 cars booked for King's Lynn on Saturday.

  16. I'm having a bit of a clear out and thought that this lot might be of interest to someone? Most, if not all, BSCDA drivers newsletters from the 2007 and 2008 seasons. 2007 and 2008 Association Handbooks. 2007 Rule Book and separate sheet of amendments. 2007 New Driver information sheet. Thank You letter from GMP for supporting the Scottish Weekend. 2009 Driver Application Form (unused) Job lot - I'm not splitting them. Make me an offer. Any proceeds will be donated to the Trust Fund.
  17. This is probably just a way of saying "Nowt to do wi' us". Using the logo implies that it's an official/endorsed product, which could mean enquiries or complaints about these hoodies might get directed at the website. "Terribly sorry, but you're complaining to the wrong people" does not go down particularly well with certain factions of the general public. I have vast experience of this first hand, mainly with complaints to Stoxnet about the fixture list on the BSCDA website being wrong (the fixtures link on Stoxnet goes there). On the plus side, it's free advertising for the website, so, swings and roundabouts, etc...
  18. Nice to see that Trackstar once again acknowledged the Stoxnet Awards on their website.
  19. Another PM sent.
  20. Tonight's running order. (Posted by Jono Hartley on Face Book)
  21. I'm listening to it now. First time I've ever bothered with one of these podcast things tbh, mainly cos of the lack of internet in the places where I'd listen to them. First thoughts are that it's too long! I fast-forwarded the commentary from the races as I already knew what happened. But so far I'm quite enjoying it.
  22. "The last hour" - just out of interest, how long is it?
  23. Same here! Top job by everyone involved, on what I'm sure was a difficult meeting to report on.
