  5. Press release from BriSCA The BriSCA BIG GO SHOW - Wednesday Update! The event run by the sport for the sport! Whoever would have predicted the hugely impressive turnout of BriSCA Stock Cars as the season climaxes with the curtain closer Gala Night at Birmingham Wheels this Saturday 12th November - and on tarmac! BriSCA F2 Stock Cars once again have rallied for this end of season experience which features two eagerly anticipated races, the Gala Night Shoot Out Final together with the unique Wild Card Race where randomly selected grid contest a 'dash for the cash' which has never failed to produce talking points. It is also pleasing to, once again promise a buoyant entry list of over 50 BriSCA F2 Stock Cars which has all the ingredients of a compelling race session. New drivers, top drivers and an overseas presence adds up to a great night in prospect. BriSCA F1 wise, again records are likely to be broken, from humble beginnings of mid thirties entry list, the list as of wednesday breaks all records for Gala Night and recent modern day tarmac in season turnouts with a huge entry of close on 60 cars and several still to confirm! the entry list again features some interesting names and newcomers from different disciplines making a mouth watering line up. A massive 29 are entered for the legendary Under 25's Championship! V8 Hot Stox also promise a quality entry of mid thirties ensuring 'real' stock car racing. Keep up to date with latest bookings @ incarace.co.uk (or Stoxnet )
  6. Now up to 62 drivers on the booking list! Additions :- 70 Aaron Leach (U25 race only, then 71 using the car the rest of the meeting) 216 Jack France 378 Simon Lownds 546 Jay Hewitt 48 has withdrawn.

  8. Looks like Brad is having a serious crack at the Under 25s - he's borrowed his dad's car. (Brad's pic off Face Book)
  9. Some 'new' names on the booking list. What do we know about them? 62 John Christie is a top National Hot Rod driver, and won their World Championship in 2013. John is from County Antrim in Northern Ireland and will be racing Paul Hines' car. 387 Hannah Chappell raced F1 at Gala night 2015 in the U25s race and won best novice award. She is Tim Warwick's (307) No1 fan, mechanic, and close friend. A fan and follower of BriSCA F1 since birth. And Stoxnet's newest member. 408 Ant Whorton-Eales races on the circuits and has won the Renault UK Clio Cup for the last four years. Ant has several family connections to BriSCA F1 as he is related to 408 Brian Whorton, 422 Nigel Whorton, 197 Mark Whorton-Eales, 97 Murray Harrison, and 197 Ryan Harrison. (I'm sure someone will correct me if that's wrong, or I've missed someone ) 536 Ben Barnicoat is from Chesterfield, so I'm guessing he's related to 224 Paul Barnicoat ?
  10. Current info is that 191 and 219 will only be racing in the Under 25 Championship, as they are car sharing with 389 and 316 respectively.
  11. Press release from BriSCA The Last Laps! Once again the curtain comes down on the official 2016 season with ALL roads once again leading to Birmingham Wheels this coming Saturday 12th November for the Gala Night BriSCA Spectacular which has an added significance as we celebrate and remember inspirator of the Under 25's Championship, Dave Leonard with the Dave Leonard Memorial trophy a coveted race for competitors. A record number Formula Ones, close on 60, are entered with, as is typical of this end of term event, some interesting drivers out for the occasion. The Under 25's, thanks to Lee, Mike and helpers has raised in excess of £4000 funding plus give aways which provides an overall funding of close on 10k for the F1 Stock Cars, a fantastic effort! BriSCA F2's also have a boost in funding with their two big races - and the Gala Night Shoot Out Championship has become now a must win race. At the time or writing bookings are virtually on par with 2015 with 50 cars booked as of Tuesday including Gordon Moodie representing Scotland. V8 entries are also approaching mid thirties, around 140 BriSCA Stock Cars in one venue for one night which is not to be missed! For ongoing information and updates check out incarace.co.uk (or Stoxnet )

  13. Press release: A WONDERFUL season of BriSCA Stock Car racing comes to an end at Birmingham Wheels Raceway on Saturday 12th November at the annual Gala Night event. In the last few years this meeting has produced some of the finest tarmac BriSCA F1 racing seen anywhere across the year, and all signs are there that this could be the case again this November. 318 Rob Speak crowned a wonderful BriSCA career at Belle Vue recently as he took the National Points Championship title, defeating the likes of 445 Nigel Green, European champ 4 Dan Johnson, 84 Tom Harris and new World Champion 1 Junior Wainman. All these names should appear the event – will this be Speak’s last run in an F1 before his move from driving into promoting for the 2017 season? This meeting always sees a few newcomers to BriSCA F1 and drivers from other formulae trying something different, and the big news ahead of this event is that a champion of the circuit racing world will be trying BriSCA F1 for the first time. Ant Whorton-Eales began his career at Incarace in the ORCi Ministox several years ago and since then has won in SaxMax, Mini Challenge and single seaters, and this year finally achieved a four-year ambition when he won the Renault Clio UK Cup which has put him in the frame for a British Touring Car drive in 2017. He has still enjoyed the occasional oval outing in Incarods and Classic Hot Rods – but BriSCA F1 racing will be an entirely different experience for him! It has also been rumoured that former Queen of National Ministox Courtney Witts will be making her F1 debut at this event after a couple of successful test sessions, while kart racer Hannah Chappell will make her second BriSCA appearance. Not only that, but National Hot Rod superstar John Christie will make the long trip from Northern Ireland, the former World and National Champion and current NHRPA Champion very excited to be making his F1 debut in Paul Hines’ car. This really is going to be something special! The feature race of the night will be the 2016 Under 25s Championship, showcasing the best young talent in BriSCA F1 with 212 Danny Wainman defending the title he won at this corresponding event last year. This year the race has extra significance as the meeting is held in memory of the championship’s founder Dave Leonard who sadly passed away earlier this year, and the meeting Final will be run in his memory. A huge grid of talented young drivers is eligible for this event and the meeting is set to be an absolute cracker. Racing starts at 5pm.
  14. Slightly out of date poster - the prize fund is now well over four grand! There's still time to donate. See Mike & Lee's thread or visit the website Under25s.com.
  15. One change to the booking list. 84 Tom Harris has withdrawn due to engine problems.
  16. Assuming it's just standard point scoring? If so, then the grids for both the W&Y Championship and the Track Championship races should be able to be worked out from all the points scored at Coventry this season, which are on the F1StockCarsDotCom Points & Stats pages

  19. Press release from the BMB: A big well done to everyone for their support for this - and still time to give! It really is a great tribute to Dave, over 4k with 10 days to go! Discussing plans with Sophie yesterday I can say even at this early stage, 40 F1's already on the list including a number of 'new/different' drivers - The 5 laps will be in shifts! With a big grid of V8's and the Shoot Out £1000 F2 combination, it all promises a great night to round off the official season!

  24. 220 have posted in the last month. A few more stats, courtesy of the server logs (and because I like stats and data. ) Between September 2015 to September 2016 there were 14,583 posts by 679 people, there were 1,030 new threads started, and Stoxnet itself was viewed by an average of 11,000* unique visitors per day. * The actual number is probably a bit less than 11,000 because, for example, a non-member viewing from their office computer at work, then going home and viewing on their phone, would be counted as two separate visitors, as there's no way to tell that it's the same person. This isn't an issue for members that are logged in.
