  1. Surely the wrong thread for predictions of doom about the British that's not for a couple of months? Anyway... the fence is nowhere near as brutal as it used to be. There's a lot more give in it now. It's usually the fence that comes off worse than the cars.
  2. Billy Johnson has repaired the damage from Stoke and booked in, so we're currently at 33 confirmed cars, plus one more that's still not sure but will confirm one way or the other tomorrow. 1 Frankie Wainman Jnr4 Dan Johnson16 Mat Newson21 Mark Gilbank25 Bradley Harrison34 Mal Brown55 Craig Finnikin73 Rob Cowley84 Tom Harris152 Neil Scothern166 Bobby Griffin169 Billy Johnson175 Karl Hawkins192 Luke Dennis212 Danny Wainman216 Jack France220 William Hunter225 Mark Clayton238 Richard Bryan259 Paul Hines268 Richard Woods293 Eliot Smith313 Karl Roberts335 Mark Woodhull337 Dave Willis348 John Wright390 Stuart Smith415 Russell Cooper422 Ben Riley445 Nigel Green462 Scott Davids463 James Morris555 Frankie Wainman Jnr Jnr

  10. Steve Rees has responded to some of the comments about car numbers. Not a time for despair! I too share a slight concern re car numbers however after doing quite a lot of research and thanks for Sophie for doing also some 'checking' on a random set of close on 30 drivers, the general trend is one or two cars sold and not yet surfaced, many simply not ready - a lot is down to the gloomy winter of uncertainty and on the eve of the season discovering Coventry had gone - drivers just took their foot off the gas in the workshop. We all know drivers made that 'extra' effort to be ready for the first Saturday in April or May, it has been just a bit slower this year without that target. I now know of several drivers coming out in the next few weeks and several 'new' cars, was speaking to a Superstar last night who is having 2 new cars, so plenty of confidence. Still a good entry for Belle Vue tomorrow despite 2 busy weekends, keep the faith - but whatever, if BV in the rain and last night at Stoke was anything to go by, there is NO lack of quality, respect to all drivers and race teams. Good weather forecast for the Vue - let's go holiday monday racing. On another post someone was bemoaning a 9.pm finish [ which I cannot recall since the days it started at 6.pm! ] 19th March - despite weather finished at 7.35.pm - NS Finale November similar time, latest finish including Bangers in the last 12 months has been 8.10.pm starting at 4.pm! Lets get ready to rumble - Gates open 2.30.pm - Ministox 3.30.pm F1/F2 4.pm

  21. The F1 programme starts at 4pm and that's what's being advertised. Although I think it's good that the term "pre-meeting" seems to have been dropped from this year's press releases. The vast majority of people don't turn up a few minutes before start time, pretty much everyone that's going will already be there well before 3.30pm.
  22. Another addition - 513 booked in this morning. 1 Frankie Wainman Jnr 3 Chris Fort 9 James Tucker 16 Mat Newson 25 Bradley Harrison 36 Jordan Falding 45 Nigel Harrhy 48 Shaun Webster 70 Aaron Leach 80 Stephen North 84 Tom Harris 150 Mick Sworder 183 Steve Whittle 192 Luke Dennis 195 Dean Whitwell 207 Ben Hurdman 212 Danny Wainman 217 Lee Fairhurst 219 Jacklyn Ellis 259 Paul Hines 278 Paul Hopkins 287 Sean Willis 300 Paul Carter 303 Karl Whiteman 321 Ed Neachell 325 Richard Davies 401 Steven Webster 422 Ben Riley 445 Nigel Green 464 Luke Davidson 468 Danny Colliver 501 George Elwell 512 Michael Steward 513 Rich Pacey 518 Stuart Shevill Jnr 543 Drew Lammas 545 Neil Hooper 555 Frankie Wainman Jnr Jnr
