  1. 1 x OAP World Final ticket for sale. £30 Will email digital ticket to the buyer for you to access on your phone or print off. Alternatively I can meet you at Ipswich to give you the ticket in person. Thanks.
  2. Another excellent read Roy. I'm presuming then that the Stanton Works were also responsible for the famous Stanton Warrior drain cover?
  3. Thanks Roy. As a regular to that side of the land, the next time I'm there I plan to take some of this in. Cheers.
  4. Thank you Roy. Its been a fascinating read.
  5. As ever, really appreciate your efforts Roy. Great stuff.
  6. Good job you didn't take us there actually - 'we'd have never left'! (That doesn't quite work, but you get the gist).
  7. Hadfield - the very famous Derbyshire town, otherwise known as Royston Vasey! Thanks Roy for another great post, still the very best that the Internet has to offer.
  8. Ha. Maybe thats what most called it, i know what sounds better. His driving was/is certainly stealth-like thats for sure.
  9. Rob Speak. And i was thinking that before I had a look at this thread. During the mid-period of the past decade, say 2014-2016 i think were standout years and Speak went from strength to strength during this time. Semi final wins, gold and silver. He bought back with him his menace and fearlessness and as said above, once he was on form everybody had to raise their game. I'm sure Franks shale car was in part a reaction to the Davidson fleet becoming seriously dominant. The other driver I've enjoyed watching has to be Craig Finnikin. He and the Stealth Bomber around Coventry when it was all nailed on and flying was a sublime thing to watch. Where have all the good times gone...?
  10. This is the best thing on the entire internet. Thanks Roy.
  11. Ex-Chris Bonner car? It must have had one refurb after another as the original width surely had be trimmed down after 'Axle-gate'.
  12. Grid walk first, time trials later is the only thing i would change there. By having them at 12.30(!) does not make them a part of the WF meeting at all. Track prep time sounds ominous too.... I wonder if they can manage to drag it out any longer than they did in 2015?!
  13. Yes. No. World qualifying points are effectively accrued across two seasons. If a driver really went for it late last year and bagged enough points to get a Semi Final then fair play to them. I can't see why those points should then be whitewashed if a driver doesn't make it out this year, which could be down to all manner of reasons.
  14. If anyone has a spare or unwanted copy of this years British programme then gis'a shout. Thanks.
  15. Indeed I do. It's very much a part of the whole essence of going to watch stock car racing. Any chace you could let us know which tracks he does charge for pit entry? Thats a new one on me.
  16. £1 raffle tickets. Money raised goes to charity. Winning ticket holder gets to gatecrash the lap of honour.
  17. If anyone has a spare copy or is not needing their programme from this years Mildenhall meeting then gis' a shout. Cheers.
  18. Well thats probably the best piece of press I've seen all week!
  19. Incredibly good service. Ordered weds night, was here Friday morning despite all the extra Xmas mail. I got the exact seat I asked for too ☺️
  20. Cost for a GP letter aside, embarrassingly Skegness have not even factored in the reality they will be breaching data protection laws in that the paying public will be effectively forced to reveal private health matters and conditions to explain why you might not have the specified food in your bag. The GDPR notice must have been missing when I received my WF ticket in the post.
  21. The request for providing a GP letter to stipulate why you won't be buying on site fried delicacies is, in my opinion, completely contemptuous. Seems to me, unfortunately, that Rob and Co' are trying to rewrite the unwritten rules of going to watch stock car racing, that being that for the past 65 years it's been generally accepted that you can choose to feed yourself as per your own choice, rather than feeling forced to have to buy food on site that may or not be the kind of food you want to be eating. But of course if this kind of draconian attitude is in force at other motorsporting venues (let's not compare with music events or football, totally different set up) then I'd be willing to listen and learn. No, I'm not going next weekend, but yes I will be there in September. Its going to be one fat sandwich and the biggest piece of fruit I can find in my bag I can assure you, Skegness Raceway!
  22. Brafield. European. Saturday afternoon. I half expected this would be down to the TV scheduling for 'World of Sport'. Alas, it isn't. 😌
  23. Love Mildenhall. I also quite like Formula One stock car racing. Jobs a goodun'.
