Thats unbelievably irresponsible to still be planning on running. Are these places run by complete cowboys? Whom obviously understand the current issue better than the World Health Organisation? It's wrong on so many levels. I understand a place like Barford will probably have approximately 4 people watching and they're after the Pay To Race fees, but its the far reaching implications at this point in time that make this a poor decision.

Aside from GMP's statement regarding the cancellation of Cowdenbeath this is one of the most pertinent, informed, spot on things I've read so far. All promoters and even fans should take heed of what GMP have said and follow suit. Peter, you know who I am trackside. I'm a nurse. I work in critical care. I'm seeing senior staff act in a way I never have before. This is for real. If anyone else says in response to Trackstar dragging their heels, 'Run the meeting, its only a little cough' then I wish you and those you spend time with a lot of luck.

    2020 Fixture List

you said it didn't excite you and wondered if it would be much different to last year you didn't state that it was a bad meeting but you heavily implied it anyway the rotating of the championships hardly matters at all as long as the racing is good let's hope we're in for a great season !!! Good lordy. No - I said the idea of going to Hednesford again for the British didn't excite me. I enjoyed last years meeting. Never the less. You win. Yay for Hednesford. it is unfortunate that the fixture list is not exciting enough for your exact personal requirements but try to be positive i've already worked out most of the meetings that i will be going to and i'm looking forward to all of them !! Yeah.... me too! 🙄

Bloomin 'eck love. Now your posting the bleedin obvious. If Stoxnet has changed its policy regarding posting opinion, when all I intended was to support the use of Birmingham now it has been reinstated, can someone please let me know and then I'll be happy to refrain.

    2020 Fixture List

I'd be quite happy if it's exactly as good as last year. Agreed. it was a great meetingRelax. I never stated it was a bad meeting, i thoroughly enjoyed it myself and it was high time that a major was given to Hednesford again. However, what i also enjoy with the nature of our sport is the rotational element of championships usually being moved around between tracks to keep the excitement and momentum going, that is, for me. Whilst I'm delighted to see a healthy fixture list, the fact that the British, the World and of course the European are all at the same tracks as last year, for me, isn't too exciting.

    2020 Fixture List

Having the British at Birmingham would have been good: a. Hednesford again doesnt really excite, will it be much different to last year? b. If Brum's future is uncertain, make the most of it now. c. The place could probably do with a bit of a morale boost. Looking forward to Mildenhall and Bristol but as usual, work dictates.
  8. 1988 Hednesford. Glorious sunshine. Sunday afternoon WF. Huge ampitheatre of a place. Real atmosphere. 33 & 53 hammer and tongs. Elwell's MkII. Ian Higgins' massive hands!

    Birmingham track

Make your mind up!? I'm all ears, I'm sure we all are. You sound as if you have the answers so please, put them into action and stop the few tracks we have left from closing. Or, save your energy and bash fans who simply want to air the fact they did what they could by travelling the country and turning up to watch, and then dare to mention they're going to miss the place due to a decision that is well beyond their control.

Trev, you're not alone. It is devastating and yet another punch in the face for oval racing. Ignore the bed wetters inane postings.
  11. Personally speaking, I've been waiting to read a post like this since leaving Birmingham numb and speechless last November. Now that the first Orci meeting of 2020 has been run I'm relieved to hear that some thought has been given to people and vehicles being on track after a race. If an investigation is still ongoing then hopefully some clarity will soon be forthcoming regarding what decisions have and need to be made. Much like Broadsward, I'll keep my opinions to myself as i doubt they will be popular, but in agreeing with the above post, times surely are a changing.

    Driver Of The Decade

Ha. Maybe thats what most called it, i know what sounds better. His driving was/is certainly stealth-like thats for sure.

    Driver Of The Decade

Rob Speak. And i was thinking that before I had a look at this thread. During the mid-period of the past decade, say 2014-2016 i think were standout years and Speak went from strength to strength during this time. Semi final wins, gold and silver. He bought back with him his menace and fearlessness and as said above, once he was on form everybody had to raise their game. I'm sure Franks shale car was in part a reaction to the Davidson fleet becoming seriously dominant. The other driver I've enjoyed watching has to be Craig Finnikin. He and the Stealth Bomber around Coventry when it was all nailed on and flying was a sublime thing to watch. Where have all the good times gone...?
  14. This is the best thing on the entire internet. Thanks Roy.
  15. I've been a Greeny fan over the past few years, i wasn't at Lynn on Saturday so can't really comment on that but yes, Fraggleina is right. In particular right after his 2017 WF win hedid take umbridge to the pink H699(?) car that was nudging his back bumper on occasion. IMO if you're on track after the green flag drops then you are fair game for anyone and anyone is fair game to you. I can't think that they're are any rules to stop anyone taking anyone out, there might be ways of doing it but essentially doing it to gain places is the name of the game.
