Thanks Chris, got some of what I beleive to be the site of Whip Chicken farm to add on as well. Steve G bought me rose Tinted Specs for my birthday! They working great. has made me look through some of my old pics and find a few gems. Just wish I had a digital camera back in those days. taking photos was expensive and film a develping cost a fortune. I was limited to about 4 photos a meeting. Thought you might like this photo, Aycliffe either a week before or week after 1972 BV World final, I think!

No real problems getting to Skeg last night through Boston, but having gone straight from work I didn't even get chance to change. Felt a little strange taking photos in shirt and tie! reason for posting this though, is the cheapest fuel I have seen for a while £1.15.90 was at the Esso Garage in Boston. might make the cost of filling up a little bit better on the pocket!
-
Thanks for the info, Boston can be a problem midweek the sooner a by pass built the better!
-
I'm sure there will be one later in the week. I have to work Thurdsay and Saturday morning, so I might not get there Thursday and Saturday is going to be a bit of a push, 1066, are the traffic lights lights still out of action going into Boston? It held me up a while last time I went to Skeggy and if they are still causing a hold ups I'll try and find a way around them

Warneton photos now added. Including some Sprint cars and Camso V8 late model stock cars. The Sprint cars went realy well around Warneton, a big improvement since I last saw them. Could do with a few more cars. It would be good to see how some of our lads go in the cars. The Camso V8s put on a great show. Plenty of side by side racing and plenty of passing even though the drivers had to work for it. As Dr Dick Bergrenn once said, passing shouldn't be easy, but it shouldn't be impossible. It was proper American Style racing, and to be honest a lot better than I have seen on many American pavement tracks. F1s were fast and the drivers who went put on a great show. Well done for FWJ, Danny Wainman, Chris Fort and Mark Gilbank for doing the overnight dash from Coventry. Jessie de Bruyn looked impressive in the f1s, I'm told he is 16 years old. Seesm like the dutch have some good young drivers coming through the same as we do. which is good for the future. Photos selected and added listening to the follwing cds: Cowboy Songs - Michael Martin Murphey Passion & Warefar - Stevie Vai American Fool - John Mellencamp

Sometimes you have to try things to see if they work, No harm in trying and I do think the races will be hectic. i must admit i would love to see some marker tyres just off the racing surface. 1) to cut out corner cutting and infield racing 2) marker tyres, etc have always been a source of action

updated again!!! Just found a couple of photos from Scota World final 1975 or 76. At Wimbledon. Photos are not very good to say the least, but photos 1) Jan Coenen - I notice there is a Jack Coenen booked in for Warneton on Sunday.. Any of our Dutch friends know if the 2 drivers are related? 2) Rien Rutjens (15) and 3 other dutch drivers including Lambert Keulen (104) This was Rien's first visit to the Uk to race Any info on the other drivers (6) painted same clours at Rutjens and (84) would be most welcome. Apologies for the AUTOMATICALLY DELETED WORD (If you can't express yourself without swearing, please don't post!) photos but thought historical interest made up for it!
