  1. The third largest event of any type in the UK a minor event Goodwood great event open to the few Motofest great event open to all even you and who knows you might save some money
  2. We are still involved in a replacement in Coventry in terms of talks but frankly its a way off a conclusion as driven by a decsion on Brandon which keeps being pushed back. The team is busy on Motofest which hit 229,000 people last year and will beat the 300,000 this year. What a great back drop to launch a new track or promote the sport. Sadly other than the mini's and heritage F1 nobody else has applied to attend whilst nearly all other forms of motorsport is being restricted access as the demand exceeds our capacity. Space will always be found for oval racing as it was and remains our passion but the sport is not that interested in attending. We are bigger than Goodwood and ALL of the music festivals in the UK in fact only a air show on the south coast and the Notting Hill Carnival get more people over the two days and we eclipse those in terms of media coverage. It remains FREE to attend
  3. We are not holding our dates to ransom we don't have a stadium in which we can run them that currently does not have dates or is acceptable to the BSCDA/Brisca/ORCi. Rest assured we have and we will continue to try. Before I see a hundred suggestions of stadiums I have looked, asked and its been no from either venue or governing bodies.
  4. When I went on track I did not see or smell any leaking fuel but now that has been raised I will ask Simon as he was one of the first on the scene if we had a fuel leak.
  5. We had PB Fire on the centre as I wont operate without them as they are front line fire crew with full cutting equipment, fully qualified and medically trained. Stoke had 32 extinguishers on site plus the ones that PB Fire has on the red truck which drove onto the track so i think you are wrong about no extinguisher.
  6. Wouldn't hold your breath. Not once did he thank us marshalls during the time I worked at coventry. I think you will find that I constantly thanked the team effort at Coventry in everything I wrote or said. I also had all the main officials listed in the programme but I accept I did not thank everybody personally but we did have around 150 staff working at Coventry so not always easy to get to everybody. I did have department heads who looked after each part of the operation from ground works to bars to track staff and they did as line managers keep you informed and thanked. In fact a regular newsletter was done to all staff and from memory thank you was a regular theme. Oh well I simply cant do anything right no matter how hard I try. It wont stop me from trying.

    Thank You

As promised we had around 700 at Stoke tonight which means it just about broke even which is a nice end of season surprise. I would like to thank all those who braved the cold to watch what i would consider the race of the season and for those that could not attend sorry you missed it. A old rock & roll term would be 11 on the dial. Coventry Stox on tour has now finished and next year our dates will be frozen whilst we try to complete one of the opportunities we are working on. I would like to thank the promoters, drivers, fans and sponsors for the massive support they have shown us during a very difficult year and I will be working with all parties to help bring new life into this great sport. In terms of the continuing negativity towards me on a personal level all I can say is that's life and the very few that post these things are so massively dwarfed by the warm comments in PM, e-mails, phone calls and just talking to me at meetings to tell me to keep going make the job so worthwhile. Its that sense of family that makes Brisca F1 so special as the many other sports/music I have been involved in it is almost completely absent and I hope the current trend of negativity will cease on social media as whilst its a way of getting attention for the poster all it does is turn people off who love this sport. Tonight was a classic and I hope to see many more but live not via a phone camera or other peoples comments as they are a very poor substitute for the real thing. Stoke is by far my favourite track and Steve & Jackie are true friends so it was a fitting end to spend tonight with them as we all need our friends during moments of change. Keep the faith and I will see you at my next event which is Coventry Motofest 2018.............................or maybe before then with luck and a lot more hard work.
  8. No rain at Stoke from 1pm onwards so its all set for our last meeting of the year, two championships and of course shale so come along rather than watching on line or just checking results neither of which do justice to our sport. See you in a few hours
  9. We have put our money where our mouth is and now its down to drivers/fans to support this venue and fixture. Results on both will be published next week. So its down to us it it. When one is selling something I have always found persuasion is better than coercion, instead of this use or lose it mantra how about telling us some of the following. You will have at least as many F1 cars as they had last saturday. The programme will have news about 2018 fixtures Team Sworder will be back. You have realised its November and its been a long hard season so you wont be running extra meaningless races for track championship which doesnt exist, and you will get things done by 8.30. If I saw some or any of the above in your posts I might just consider parking my principles and attending on saturday, Many posts on this forum and Facebook are calling for more Stoke dates To get more Stoke dates the venue needs to be better supported in person rather than by just social media posts So here is the chance to show where extra meetings if they are going to happen could go ahead of the list being finalised. No idea how many we will end up with but the list I have seen has 30 on it and may go up or down...............I was happy to pay for as many as wanted to race Team Sworder will be back when the bans lapse or a change is announced by the BMB We will be running our traditional extra money races for the W&Y and the track championship as we reward the support drivers give us and it wont stop us from turning the meeting round However if you have principles that are different to the above I will fully understand your decision to stay at home and I would hope that others who want to see more Stoke, want to reward drivers loyalty, respect rule books will come along as whats on offer is positive for the sport rather than the negatives so often quoted. I always had you pegged in the positive camp perhaps I was wrong
  10. Craig has admitted that his helmet hit the netting so the big question is did that stop him from injury. Its a argument nobody can win but sideways movement is the concern as it can cause major injury.
  11. We have put our money where our mouth is and now its down to drivers/fans to support this venue and fixture. Results on both will be published next week.
  12. So Craig had two chances to put things right before the warning letter. I don't have the exact details on when the pink tickets were issued but you are given 7 days grace to put right so he may well have had two weeks to put things right before getting a warning letter. I think it is fair to say the rule was breached so the rest of the comments are a matter Craig should have taken up with the BMB I would like to apologise for my comment that it was a disgrace as frankly Craig has been a absolute credit to the sport, a inspiration to many and a great ambassador but we have one set of rules and they do need to be observed even if we have broken them and stretched them longer than the 7 days. I will be sorry to see any driver leave the sport over a rule that is designed to save him from serious injury. Craig has always been very safety conscious and whilst he may have a view over the rules he does have the chance to vote on them every year.
  13. I have zero sympathy for Craig 2 Pink tickets 1 Warning letter Told to have net which he put in place to get car passed to then remove to race He does not have a full containment seat and if he did he would be able to race without a net. As a promoter I find it a disgrace that a top driver who I also happen to like and rate has taken the decision to put his own safety at risk and jeopardise the sport in the eyes of the H&S executive.
  14. You have the right to vote for anyone you fancy. You do not have the right to instruct any of us. You are spot on 3 people to represent the 12,000 but only 175 vote for them is really representative of the forum and the sport. Shame on you Beaks for intimating the obvious that the views we as promoters will be presented with do not represent the fans views but only the few that post. Clearly it is always good to listen to your customers and I will be standing at the gate on the 4th November to welcome the 12,000 who read but don't post alongside those that do post so that you can tell me face to face what's wrong or for the few that cant make Stoke you can send me your thoughts jeremyheaver@btinternet.com and I will make sure they get presented. I would hate to see bias or people being able to manipulate the result by instructing people on how to vote or for those that get nominated to not actually represent anything other than what they feel is right.........................so if you have been excluded from this process by being one of the thousands of guests send me a e-mail as that way nobody is pulling the wool over your eyes. Then again 12,000 could be very happy with the sport and its just 175 that have a problem with it Nice words JH. There'll only be 11,999 or 174 people at Stoke as I won't be there. Good luck for 2018. You cant resist Stoke and no doubt the banter will make it worth the trip after all you will be doing nothing for the closed season other than making K foundation videos So I think the attendance has just gone up not down As for us two being part of the government you can be from the ministry of funny walks and I will settle for the diplomatic service
