  1. On the payroll according to many maybe I should reduce or even remove the fresh air in your pay packet. I know you wont be at Ipswich as you cant resist my charm so see you Sunday and I will make sure that huge fat wage packet is waiting for you but don't breath it all at once or you will get giddy As you know I never edit contributions to the programme good or bad as to do so would mean I may as well write it myself. So next month you can do your worst and amuse those that think I have you in my pocket. Never been in my pocket and if you were a yes man then you would no longer be writing in the programme and I would no longer take the occasional bit of advice from you in the same way as I would stop taking on board those who post views on Stoxnet most of whom have valid points some of which are put in the same way as my blunt replies. Sunshine and peace is the order of the day and Sunday will be crash and crunch. See you Sunday Beaks for my lecture on getting on with people
  2. We all have them and when things are being thrown at you occasionally you throw them back. Not my best day on the forum and it will be my last for a while as I get wound up by people who post negatives without checking or in the knowledge that the thing they want is about to be posted.
  3. Web Site Updated at just after 2pm yet you posted just before 9pm saying we needed to update our web site. I have sent you all the times in a PM. I have also explained the three accounts on Facebook with the Coventry Stadium account being the one we update and then share. This was updated and was shared to around 14,000 people. We have also tweeted everybody on the database this afternoon and we hope to be able to access the huge database of newbies(we hit around the 500,000 mark during Motofest) that Motofest has. So please before posting you should check as we have done what we do before every meeting on a Thursday for several years.
  4. So as well as not promoting the event you want the paying public to tell you your website is not up to date. Unbelievable !!! It would take no more than 10 minutes to update. No excuse. .. Really it was fully updated this afternoon so thanks for checking it out before posting
  5. No it isn't. It's completely open. It can be read by anyone with an internet connection. Hope that helps. so anybody can post or is it just members and is it open to new members
  6. sorry i'm a bit confused - do you actually want us to go? or is this meeting just for facebook people? I know its very confusing so here we go again I said "I hardly ever read Stoxnet these days as Facebook seems to have taken over as the place to post and read." none of that is about just facebook people attending as I want everybody to attend my comment was about where I spend my time reading peoples views. Stoxnet is a closed forum with limited membership and whilst it has its place it does not represent the entire cross section of the sport and facebook is far better at doing that. I don't like the harshness of facebook as it does get personal but on the flip side it is more real due to its diversity plus a more likely destination for newbies and those checking us out as a sport. I would also place it way above promoter web sites or other social media platforms. Stoxnet used to be after Stoxworld the place to visit read gather information but it is no longer No1 or as busy as facebook with possibly the exception of the live results which no doubt bolsters the views then again much to my annoyance Facebook carries live feeds of meetings making it easier to stay away. So yes I want everybody to come. If people wish to communicate with me by all means post on Stoxnet and eventually I will catch up but facebook is quicker as the many who PM will testify and if that fails jeremyheaver@btinternet.com or 07872836640 is even quicker.
  7. oh and I apologise for the web site had asked for it to be updated but did not check so good positive point but it would have been fixed earlier if you had sent me a pm or e-mail as I hardly ever read Stoxnet these days as Facebook seems to have taken over as the place to post and read.
  8. I think one or two Stoxnet posters need to look at themselves in the mirror. Here is the HYPE Its at BV WE have 29 Cars racing in F1 Its a NS round The first race is 4pm It will be a shake down meeting in terms of points with thrills and spills Only some of the posters on Stoxnet will attend but they will all have a opinion RR will be 5 as points will be deducted because its Cov on tour, it rained, the chips were cold and it was only saved by epic racing. Great programme Hot Trophies Great crew on loan from Startrax with key Covstox people......................unstoppable combination On TV Cheaper than normal Coventry meeting Of course all of this is brand new information that was not available and I would like to apologise for our web site not being updated at the start of the week
  9. The three hour drive is the same as every meeting this year and they have all finished at 11pmish as they have done for decades Sorry don't understand the W&Y is on at 6.30pm exactly the same time as pre mini inclusion. So if you are only coming for F1's its a extra 30mins the pre W&Y is your choice to watch or not. Lastly even on a hot summers day 30% plus leave after the final and November will be no different I do get it that we should have one support and we did but I wanted to help the National Mini Stox out of a fix as they are the future I really think life would be so much simpler to run 40 odd F1's a support start at 7pm finish at 10pm but frankly its NOT what people want they want maximum car numbers(76 for Sat at the moment)and that means damage which means support formulas which means 4 hour plus meetings.
  10. Next November as last race.................................plenty of time to repair the cars Drivers happy to lend I will be happy to stage as long as we get enough
  11. We have 2 extra F1 races W&Y and Track Championship Plus 3 heats Cons Final and GN plus 2 support and Fireworks with price increase so that should cheer you up. First F1 race will be on at 6.30pm and you are right it will be cold so stand in the bar and enjoy a discounted pint of Amstel at £3 a pint as that will help bring a smile but make sure you are trackside for the fireworks.
  12. 220 have posted in the last month. A few more stats, courtesy of the server logs (and because I like stats and data. ) Between September 2015 to September 2016 there were 14,583 posts by 679 people, there were 1,030 new threads started, and Stoxnet itself was viewed by an average of 11,000* unique visitors per day. * The actual number is probably a bit less than 11,000 because, for example, a non-member viewing from their office computer at work, then going home and viewing on their phone, would be counted as two separate visitors, as there's no way to tell that it's the same person. This isn't an issue for members that are logged in. I never realised that 14,583 people posted about Coventry by 679 people. I get around 1500 e-mails per annum from a range of people which translates into about 450 people and of those only about 40 express a negative view. I engage in Stoxnet because of the number of people who view the forum and the amount of miss information that is stated as facts by its members from time to time. Like for example this poster who thought it was a fixture promoted by Steve which is a easy mistake to make but still needs to be corrected. Perhaps 20 was a tad under
  13. Nothing to do with Steve and the masses have a lot of different views many of which like a quick turnaround non contact formula like the UK Mods. Only around 20 people post on this site so it does not represent the majority and I get more e-mails than I see posts relating to Coventry most of which like what we do.
  14. So would I................................................its looking great and it will get posted later in the week when we know if we have lost any from BV
  15. We have adverts on the M5, M6, A45, outside the Ricoh Stadium on the electronic signs and several city centre screens directed at tarmac drivers who we all know really prefer shale. Should hit around 25 million people by the time the WF has been raced. Arrive early if you have not bought tickets or better still come Friday night and watch a full nights F1 action from the Dutch and buy your tickets for Saturday to avoid delays getting in. Lots more to tell people over the next few days.
  16. I cant wait as its been to long since my last trip to the best tarmac track in Europe and its always a great experience.
  17. Ladies race 5pm We will then run three support races including the Mod's British Final First F1 race will be 7pm possibly 6.50pm dependant upon running time We will not wait until 7pm as once we are ready we will go as we have a lot of racing and we are currently at 78 cars but i expect one or two to drop out given the damage at the Semi. As for the 2nd September first race will be 7pm WF the gates will open at midday, time trials will be from 1pm and the first race will be 3pm - tickets printed and many sold before we knew the size of car entries so details on tickets incorrect. Full details in this weekends prog and will be posted after the weekend.
