I believe the issue is that 346 was not put back in his pre-yellow flag position on the restart, hence it looked like he lost a lap.

Jane and Nic puts lots of time and effort in all year to bring you the results and it's only right that tonight is the same as all of the other race nights. Thanks.

The money has been counted and the total is in .............. the Ladies have raised a whopping £2307 and €50!!!! A massive well done and thank you to everyone that made that total happen, it is brilliant!! I will be sending a cheque off to both Cancer Research and Craig Howarth in respect of the Trust Fund. Way to go Ladies - you really have made a difference while having some fun (and probably learning that its not as easy as it looks!!!) Hopefully same again in 2017!

Well, we did it and I know that almost all of the ladies that took part had a blast!! Twelve cars made it out on track and a huge well done to everyone that took part with special congratulations to the top 3 - Angie Brown (34) came home in frist place followed by Clare O'Neill (21) and Kay Fitton (326) in third. The ladies have raised loads of money for two very special causes and I'll update with totals etc later. A massive thank you to everyone that donated/sponsored/helped raised money - every little really does help and the amounts raised will be massively appreciated by the two charities. Also a huge thanks to Jeremy Heaver, Sophie Clark and everyone at Coventry Stadium for letting the race take place last night, it is massively appreciated. If anyone has any photos or videos they would like to share of the Ladies Race last night please feel free to do so, they will be appreciated!!

Absolutely So, this time tomorrow the race will be all done and dusted - I know there are a few of the ladies taking part that will be going to bed tonight feeling quite nervous but hopefully by this time tomorrow they will have big smiles on their faces and will have loved the buzz of getting out on track! The one thing it does give you is a greater appreciation of what happens out on track, the drivers make it look so easy week in, week out!! Good luck to all of the ladies taking part and hopefully the nerves will be very quickly replaced with enjoyment once the green flag drops! Well, its been a while but here come the girls!! I am pleased to announce that this year's F1 Charity Ladies race is back on shale and will be held at Coventry on Saturday 6th August. If anybody would like to take part this year then please get in touch with me via PM or I can be found at Coventry this Saturday at the 337 transporter. In order to be eligible to take part you must be 18 years old or over, have not previously held a Competition Licence (even in a junior formula such as minis etc!) and raise a minimum of £40 sponsorship (which will be collected by me after the race). Also, full safety wear/equipment is required - i.e. fire retardant underwear/overalls/gloves/balaclava and a HANS type device. The monies raised will be split between the Driver’s Trust Fund and Cancer Research: The Driver’s Trust Fund is a good way of giving back a little to those that entertain you throughout the season, in their hour of need. It helps support a driver financially when unable to work due to a racing incident. Cancer Research is self explanatory but we ALL know someone that has been touched by this wretched disease. Also, there are a few people around the raceway that immediately spring to mind, some you may know/heard of, some you may not. Paul Tully – a Brisca photographer who can be seen around the tracks has had a very rough time over the closed season due to throat cancer, he’s been to hell and back but there is light at the end of his nightmare of a tunnel and he is fortunately going from strength to strength in his recovery. Andrew Battye – a member of #4 team Johnson, you might not necessarily know the name but you would know the face and it always has a smile on it! Andrew has had THE toughest 14 months and is still fighting every step of the way. Ben Turner – Ben was a massive Wainman fan and loved to see his heroes race. Unfortunately Ben lost his fight last year aged just 15 years old, absolutely no age. Then of course there is Stoke-on-Trent’s own stock car superstar – Rich Masterton. Rich has had countless operations and bouts of treatment and often races through the pain – he is another that can always be found with a smile on his face and a quick wit! 4 very inspirational individuals, and countless more out there fighting the hardest of fights – life can be so easily blown apart. I know times are tough for everybody but every little donation of sponsorship helps! We currently have Christy Brown, Vicky Brown and myself down as willing competitors so far, and hopefully Kay Fitton will be back to try and defend her title. Ali, Mel has put on FB: Well not the best night. Front axle bent,twisted and replaced, 2 shock absorbers broken and replaced 1 other bodged together. Half shaft replaced and rear tyre destroyed. Let's hope for better tomorrow.

The biggest of thanks to Jane and Nic for this weekend's results - especially last night's, which turned out to require a monumental length of time and effort and I know that Jane always tries her hardest not to name the person(s) injured because you never know if family members are watching online but I think, despite her best efforts, due to others commenting, this was not possible last night and ended up being all over social media anyway. Don't ever think that your time and effort at the keyboard aren't appreciated Jane, because they are, massively.
