Another update from Indiana Sprint week, this time from the Terre Haute Action Track. A big half mile track that lives up to it's name! As you can see the photographers stand a bit close to the track, leaning on the inside guard rail. Sprint cars have no silencers in Indiana so coming that close at over 100 mph does blow the cobwebs out of you! the race track is at the Vigo County Fairgrounds, and it was the last day of the County Fair, which was good to walk around during the day, but sadly the rides located just behind turns 1 & 2 were closed when the meeting finished! http://www.stoxphotos.com/photos/

Some Sprint car photos from unsanctioned show at Twin Cities Raceway Park, North Vernon, Indiana added. Temperature reached 107f that day, it was hot!!!! Some Late Model Stock Car Photos from Brownstown Speedway, Brownstown, Indiana added. They have been racing at Brownstown since 1952. It's about 8 car widths wide which gives some great 3 wide racing! Photos added while reading Alan Brown's book "History of American Speedways"
