  1. Stockcar racing at its best! I've very rarely given a 10 in all the years I've been watching but couldn't fault this one! It was one of those meetings where I had no idea where to look - lots of battles for the lower places. Best stockcar racing I've seen in a long time and has left me wanting more - haven't felt like that in a while. Thanks to the Incarace team and all the drivers for a great weekend! RR 10 DoD 515 deserved that Euro win.

  3. Hello A couple of weeks ago I posted about a Bespoke Automotive Furniture auction raising money for The Prince's Trust (please see below). Today I can announce that some of our products will be on display at the Classic Car Show at the NEC over the 15th, 16th and 17th November, so please drop by to see these awesome products in the flesh! Follow us on Twitter (twitter.com/TeamEngauge) or like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/TeamEngauge) to keep up-to-date! Many thanks Christina ------------------------------------------- I am currently on the joint Volkswagen Group, Volkswagen Financial Services and Serco Graduate Programme - as part of this the nine Graduates have been entered into this year's 2013 Million Makers Corporate Challenge. The idea is to turn a seed fund of £1500 into a minimum of £10000 for The Prince's Trust Charity by 31 December 2013. In order to do this my team - Team En-Gauge have partnered up with BOSS Designs to design and manufacture some quality bespoke automotive furniture items, for example, an Audi TT office chair. We have had donations from many automotive organisations such as Aston Martin, Jaguar, Audi, SEAT etc. The auction goes live on 22nd November and will run until mid-December. Our website is still in progress, however, please feel free to follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook for further information. Additionally, if you have any ideas or are able to provide any automotive items that you think will raise us some money, please let me know! All proceeds will be going to The Prince's Trust.

  6. Well - after attending Coventry Stadium for many years each month(30+) after the April meeting I decided I wasn't going to go again. However, for other reasons I decided to go to this meeting and - what a difference a couple of months makes! The organisation seems to be totally different - yellow flags come out and the tractors actually start moving - everything ran smoothly and the racing was very good. Well done Coventry! RR: 9/10 DoD: 150 Roger
  7. Thought the racing was very roundy last night - not much fighting for position. Personally I thought Timmy the Tyre was excellent ! Great entertainment for the kids, but also made us laugh all night - I actually got more entertainment from Timmy then the actual racing that's how roundy I thought it was at times! DoD 1 - brilliant driver - Lee rode quite a big hit can't remember who from and carried on racing overtaking some of the other top drivers like they were white tops! RR - 5
  8. Nothing really stood out for me in this meeting...have to say a bit like watching hot rods bangers included. There were a few hits here and there including the roll from 335 but nothing that I could go home and think wow. I thought the meeting dragged on a bit probably because of the length of time to clear the bangers... also wasn't it supposed to start at 6.30pm? One little gripe, nothing to do with the racing but the staff serving in the food outlet under the bar on the home straight need some customer service skills!! RR 4 DOD 308
  9. Meeting organisation 10/10 - very slick turnaround - much appreciated given the weather conditions! RR 8/10 Heats were fairly tame, but the final was Stockcar racing at its best - there was no putting the leader away so he goes through the fence and doesn't return, killing the race - it was good hard Stockcar racing with the lead changing multiple times between about 4 drivers! Support formulas also put on a really great show as well. Looking forward to the next NIR already... DoD - 108 great first meeting out!
  10. Totally agree - just found a 1974 Coventry programme so I have been attending Coventry Stadium for a long time. Apart from meetings running in bad weather conditions (over which nobody has any control) this has to be one of the worst organised meetings at Coventry Stadium! In recent years, the meetings have been getting longer and longer with so many unnecessary delays. The Whites and Yellows and 1300 Saloons took over an hour just to run the first two races! It has been mentioned that it is a problem with F1 Stockcars - they generally take longer to sort themselves out and get to the track - perhaps Coventry should be speaking to Incarace - Incarace seem to manage their programme within four hours (sometimes with three full formulas)! I know where my £18 is staying next month! RR 7/10 - the racing was fairly good, but for me, the enjoyment of the racing is outweighed by the length of time it took to run the meeting. DOD 191 Roger
  11. One thing that really confuses me every time someone mentions price increases is people comparing the racing to premier league football/pop concerts and grand prix prices. At the end of the day, Stockcar Racing cannot be compared to this - it does not have the sponsorship behind it or the huge fantastic facilities like Silverstone or Wembley, for example. Fans can probably justifying paying over £150 (or whatever the cost is) for Silverstone Grand Prix because of the presence it has in the Motorsport calendar and the prestige which goes with it - most years its a sell out! I am quite sad to admit that I have only been Stockcar Racing twice this year. I have been brought up with it since the age of five and also had a website on it for several years - I suppose you could say that I was a massive fan who tried to get to every meeting I could! I avoided the world final this year partly because of the price (I didn't have Skegness down as a world final venue) and also because I probably wouldn't be able to see anything! To be honest, I really did think about going, but just couldn't justify paying the amount of money required for a seat (and also the fact that I would have been on my own as the people I go with are too tall for the grand stand seats)! Coventry is regarded as our premier stadium - however clearly (although most of you are male) none of you have ventured into the female toilets on the back straight! I generally have not bought female guests along to Coventry stadium as it is a tiny bit embarrassing! At least if you pay £40+ at Wembley or at a premier football league stadium you can expect half decent toilets. Some of you very regularly say "if you don't like it, don't go - its as simple as that". Hate to say it, but if you work by that principle then fans will start to become like me and crowds will start to decrease - as I believe has happened at Northampton over the weekend. At the end of the day, fans are customers, you have to listen to them - EVERYONE is entitled to an opinion and its not right for the few on here that always do to shout them down. Some of you will say that with these views I cannot possibly be a fan - the reason I feel like writing my views is because I am still a fan! I am intending to go to Coventry in November and I'm hoping to see some of the spark which I have loved in Stockcar Racing for so many years that just hasn't seemed to be there recently.
  12. Hi Nigel, No worries - will get my dad to bring them to Cov as I will be heading to Australia that day! Christina
  13. I have for sale a pair of NFR Overalls, signed by all the 2003 World Finalists from the World Final at Coventry. These didn't actually sell last time I put them on and I have just found them again! Same price of £30.00, postage £5 or collection can be made at most Coventry's or Northampton's. They have never been worn and so are in pristine condition. Please email: christinajdudley@gmail.com Some updated pics:
