There's no such thing as a 'nothing' meeting. I won't be there because I only do one meeting per weekend normally, so will be at Buxton, which is less than half the distance and is a VSCA meeting, of which I am a member.

Thanks Marie

How did 4 have a big rollover in heat 3 if he loaded up at 11.17?

You two should get together some time.

I wasn't there last night, but I can't help feeling that the total money collected ''goes back in to the sport'' was often quoted. Allowing a well established driver from another sport to start on the front of the grid from where he took the winner's prize and, presumably, a fair wedge of the cash allocated to the leader on each lap sounds like it will not go back into Stock car racing. This is not sour grapes on my part, I'm just saying it does not seem to fit in the original idea of the fund. I will agree that the two mentioned drivers are new to our sport but I don't see any of them staying with us. -
The 30% who leave also do that at afternoon meetings, so it isn't due to the time , their opinion is that the meeting final is the end of what they came to see. A friend of ours always left straight after the final, and he is a long time supporter. Longer than most in fact, as his dad was a driver in the early 60s. He stays to the end now as he is ''crew'' to a current driver. So Jeremy is right to do it his way. Everyone has the right to call it a day whenever they feel the need to do so.

Kingpin, if you want to go home at 9.30 pm I'm sure no-one will stop you.

Change it back then, you've no doubt saved somewhere ''just in case''.

Spiderman, it also says it's the last saloon meeting of 2017 but it says their webmaster is on holiday so we can only hope at least some of it will happen. -
Thanks Hary, nice to get Dutch results so soon after races, just like at home. You are doing a great job.

Stoke - Sunday 11th September (Shoot Out 1)
tonywayne replied to Carl H's topic in Essential Information
Daniel S, I never said Tom should be excluded for missing just one meeting. I said they should give up their Shootout place if they are intending to miss some meetings in favour of someone who would do the majority. I know they were not the exact words I used, but as I pointed out one driver(I think it was 464) only did tarmac meetings. There was no way he could be top of shootout points doing that, and that is an example of the type of thing which should be outlawed as it just prevents other drivers from having a chance. I believe in this case it may have been 259, but not sure of that either. -

You had to be on start/finish to hear anything. No working speakers anywhere else. -

Either something like that or ask drivers if they intend to do all, or most of, the rounds and if not then the next in line could be allowed in, in place of the dropout. -

ichard, yes this really upsets the whole competition, doesn't it? The same thing happened last year, not with Tom,one driver chose to do only tarmac. -

Rich, yes I'll go for that in any order. I'd love to see a 'lower grade' driver put it over on the stars just for once. They certainly give it all they've got and deserve some recognition. -

Sheffield - Sunday 31st July (World Semi-Final)
tonywayne replied to Carl H's topic in Essential Information
Carl (and anyone else who needs it), for the last few meetings you've had to get your hand 'stamped' at the turnstiles. Ask as you go through because when the 'security' behind turns 1 and 2 has not got the stamp you have to go back to turnstiles and it causes problems with the folks still trying to enter the stadium. -
So, Trackstar have already decided that Frank is World Champ?
