You do realise that other formulas produce fixture lists in January as well ?It can't be expected that come August they realise that F1 car numbers aren't going to be high as anticipated and a formula such as National Saloons or F2 just alter their fixture list to suit. If it isn't planned at the start of the season then it won't be a major national formula in support. Nah the other lesser formulas should set their fixture list around the F1 dates , kings of the oval n all that

If we are discussing WF meeting formats then how about this : Semi final 1 Foreign entrants semi final (grid based on time trials ) Semi final 2 Consolation semi including foreign drivers who failed at first attempt B final for non WF qualifiers THE WORLD FINAL Mix in some on track entertainment in between races , stunt rider ,marching band (all dressed as Spider-Man, you had to be there !)etc etc

Will be only my third meeting of the year today due to work and financial commitments (Im skint and need to work all the time 🤣) so Im suuuuuupppppper excited for today ! Went to a Lynn earlier this year which was ,as always,excellent,went to BV British which for various reasons I thought was dire and almost,almost put me off going today BUT its KINGS LYNN , Briscas best shale track with the 3 best formulas on 👌🏻Roll on 5 pm

F1 are the support formula this weekend as it is a championship weekend for F2 and Saloons. For F1 it is just a normal meeting each day. F2 have qualifying heats Saturday and Sunday leading into the championship race. Saloons are qualifying heats Saturday, last chance and championship on Sunday plus a couple of allcomers races. 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah I was actually but not my thing , parents forced me to do it ,as soon as I was allowed I left and joined the Army Cadets , Boy Scouts with guns !!!!!! It did however instill in me a be prepared attitude, food, drink,first aid,wipes etc etc are ALWAYS in my rucksack at meetings and now Im getting a bit older (a bit ?) even a folding chair . My personal opinion , until stadiums can cover ALL options regarding food and drink then allowing personal food and soft drinks in should not be a problem . Anyone whos ever been to a concert knows that we stockcar fans get off lightly regarding prices !

So the conclusion is that forum users are , as usual , over reacting! Edit: I must say though that I love the suggestion of nipping our to your car to eat , Jesus wept what next , bring your own bog roll 🤣

Haven't been witness to today's fight on Facebook (I'm told it got out of hand ) as I don't use it myself (I have a Facebook account for the farm but the wife deals with that) and I don't ever want to , Stoxnet is the place I come to for my updates , debates , picture gallery etc and long (I hope) may it continue (must pay my subs !) That being said I really can't understand why people get so het up over booking lists , yes fans want the know if the meeting will be worth attending , that's understandable but the bitching that goes on 😩 Maybe I'm an old fart but I started watching in the days when there were no booking lists on forums , or forums , or mobile phones ! ,however just about every meeting was guaranteed 60+ cars so attendance wasn't as much of a risk , I guess what I'm trying to say is can we please just try to be more civil ? And Jeremy , I'm guessing you've had a bad day , only explanation I can find for your strangely sarcastic post . I hope the proposed promoter/fan forum happens before the divide that is developing engulfs us all , I think fans expect a little too much pre meeting info nowadays but on the flip side promoters still seem to take our attendance for granted .Dang it , ive gone all Beaksy again 🙄 And this fence I'm sitting on hurts 😖🤣🤣🤣

Actually quite tempted by this , Buxton on Sunday got me fired up to watch more racing and the 4 pm start time makes it easier to attend , I see Mr Rees is politley asking fans to support the meeting , makes a change from the usual derision we are met with ! Just one nit picking thing , I wish Startrax would stop referring to F1's as full contact , they are not as the recent couple of bans point out !

Will be watching KL results next week as I'm giving it a miss and heading instead to Buxton on the sunday for the V8s,minis and rebels gold roof races ( I refuse to call them world finals because they are not ) yes me going to a minis meeting !
