  1. Pre post : this isnt a dig at you Andy or anyone in particular.Ok so ......... Its not discussion thats the problem , its the pointless attacks , the barbed jibes , the insults that get thrown , all unnecessary. Ive been guilty in the past , I hold my hands up to that , Ive also been the recipient of it which to be honest Im not that sensitive however some are , this is a DISCUSSION forum with the emphasis on DISCUSSION. If people cant discuss without getting personal then they should stick to Facebook .Those that know me personally know that Im one of the most sarcastic Micky taking AUTOMATICALLY DELETED WORDs there is , all delivered with enough profanity to make a dockyard worker blush BUT thats with friends (its the British way ) HOWEVER its not needed on here . Theres no need to lambast someone for posting a question that YOU feel is stupid ,either correct them politely or simply ignore it , theres no need to bemoan the inevitable ODSAL TO REOPEN thread , just dont read it , Thankfully we seem to have lost a few forum users who suffered from a superiority complex , thats a positive, lets run with it . Thats all
  2. A pre post declaration is a good idea , it prevents misunderstandings and denies others the excuse to have a pop ! Totally get where your coming from Bryan but I think points 1 through 5 just about cover it. Its where the sports at right now but regardless itll b a good if not great meeting ,so good in fact that its dragging me out of my near retirement to attend , 2nd meeting of the season , whoop whoop ! only a monsoon will keep me away (fair weather fan ? Nah , I stood in the rain at skeggy tother Sunday and loved it !) Edit: no Mark Gilbank booked in ? Im sure that will change
  3. Billy you could ask Ozzy to come with the Land Rover and big chain, Im sure hed pull everyone out, a tenner a time?Renault kangoo trekka actually ! So Ill pass ta .
  4. Why is it a farce ? If its AUTOMATICALLY DELETED WORD it down and more is forecast what should they do ? Run it in the AUTOMATICALLY DELETED WORDty wet conditions with hardly any spectators and those that do attend complaining how AUTOMATICALLY DELETED WORD the meeting was ?Not to mention how much more dangerous racing in those conditions can be ! the forecast here has been spot on so far , miserable and wet ! Ive raced mildenhall in a deluge and its no fun . About time we got over this the show must go on attitude we have in this country . Yes its very unfortunate for those who have already travelled but thats life Im afraid .
  5. 88 F2s and 72 Saloons booked in.No list for the support formula yet. 🤣👌🏻
  6. Runs in the family then... Except that obviously there is only a family connection via marriage , you dumb AUTOMATICALLY DELETED WORD
  7. Only end of 03 through to the end of 05, or maybe the end of 06 , cant fully remember, I stopped when he was winding down ready to migrate to NZ , good times though and Ken Hopes is always good for a laugh 😂, makes my meetings when I bump into Ken . Heard plenty of stories about Terry . Good times
  8. Anyone remember the username The Sage , it had a box of Paxo stuffing as the avatar , that was my father in law Les , gone now unfortunately, he would come on stoxnet just to wind everyone up , I was spannering for Kev Smith at the time , Les took great delight in moaning about Kevs antics on stoxnet , tongue in cheek , and setting everyone off ! He was a bit of a AUTOMATICALLY DELETED WORD at times was Les . Before that I remember phoning stoxline for meeting results, 10 minutes of Barber waffling just to get the results .Mind it was my parents phone bill so didnt bother me ! PS :youre not bad at this writing lark Mr H
  9. No Rod , Im heading to Germany tomorrow to watch a round of the European Hillclimb Championship ,15th 16th 17th June just outside of Bad Liebenstein (East) . Been wanting to go for a few years so me and a mate are having a road trip . Typical that my favourite track is running a mega meeting same weekend! Anyhoo cant be helped and I will be looking up the results on Stoxnet whilst watching (and listening) to various hillclimb monsters make their way up the 5.5km course , think Judd V8 engined BMW E30 or Hayabusa engined VW Polo or screaming 10,000 rpm Kaddets Escorts etc etc . Cant wait 😊
  10. Hensfud produces some of the best Stock Car Racing going , and Im not able to go 😪
  11. F2 you pay for a mechanics licence to get in to meetings,£50 last time I bought one , 6/7 years ago
  12. That depends on wether you like people or not Brian ! I always hated the crowds when working on cars. I agree it is one of the unique aspects of oval racing though .
  13. Its only £2 , however it would be more palatable if 1/2 went to the Ben fund (thats £1🤭) , it cuts down on foot traffic in the pits which can be annoying if your working on cars and sometimes downright dangerous, Cov pits (sorry , the C word) were horrendous to work in
  14. Which begs the question Why in this day and age do nothing meetings still take place ?
  15. Didnt even know there was a football match on 🤣
  16. Hi trimal , ok so ........Poor viewing is BV , also a bomb site anywhere other than the home straight , but you cant see the cars from there !never been upstairs , its a track that never really struck a cord with me . Stoke , what really needs saying? , reminds me of the original scunny , good racing though . Forgot about Mildo n Owlerton . Mildo is a good track and stadium , a little too small for F1 I feel but the racing seemed to be good , I love Owlerton , probably the best appointed stadium we have , shame we cant use it all and the pits are quite literally THE PITS ! Thats if a driver arrives early enough to actually get into the pit area , otherwise we have the farcical spectacle of them using the road . Just my tuppence worth , I wont visit NIR until I read some good reports , all I see at the moment is a great tarmac track that has been spoilt for whatever reason , pretty sure it wasnt the fans who wanted it shale . And as far as the not a lot the promoter can do , I disagree .
  17. Perhaps fans are tired of basic /borderline derelict facilities with poor viewing at one track and a bomb site at the other , KL is pretty tidy though obviously covered in shale but the racing and viewing makes up for any shortfall , its the best prepared track so the drivers love it , good large pit area for them and although being out in the sticks its an easy drive. Havent been to Brafield since it got shaled over , loved it as a tarmac track , yet to read or hear a positive review of the shale surface
