  1. As already stated Ben is Paul's son. He has a background in karting with multiple championship wins and is working his way up the single seater ranks, finishing in the top 10 in this years F3 European championship with a few race wins along the way.
  2. Kingpin - check out the latest news page on ministox website for an explanation for the late inclusion. Jeremy - thanks once again for stepping in at short notice and allowing the title race to run.
  3. But surely to make it fair it should exclude anyone who has ever held a race licence ?
  4. Message from Andy Barnard (NMSC Chairman). The National Ministox are now also appearing at this meeting, many thanks to Jeremy for helping us out, where we contest our "World of Shale Championship". First race 5.45pm.
  5. Saloon World Final usually much cheaper. I blame the F1s for hiking up the price !!
  6. Nicely edited opening post Carl. Usually you copy the promoter's website word for word. Were you worried that the forum would go into meltdown when the blinkered ones read the final line of the following paragraph ? 2L Saloon Stock Car Championship of the World takes place at Skegness Stadium on Saturday Sunday 17th 6-30pm. In support of the Saloons are Brisca F1 Stock Cars.
  7. So after all the discussion over the order of reserves being used it now appears that 152 has withdrawn anyway !
  8. It couldn't work that way as you wouldn't know for sure who won't turn up at Buxton until the day. Drivers may have stated intention to race and then something happens in the 2 weeks in between that changes their plans and this would lead to the reserves being used in an incorrect order. Therefore, the first semi by date has to be treated as semi 1. Otherwise, somebody could falsely state their plans to race at Buxton and then pull out after Sheffield in order to help a reserve driver get their preferable surface for a semi.
  9. Maybe it's just a case in previous years someone hasn't cancelled from the second semi final before the first semi has run? Last year no one dropped out of the second semi final. http://bscda.co.uk/semi-final-grids-2015/4589849145 With all due respect daniel, we are talking about 40+ years of history where reserves have only officially been allocated to semis in the order that they have been run. Either the rules have been changed or they are being applied incorrectly in this instance.
  10. 152 is listed as being in the buxton semi as a reserve due to the withdrawal of 169. I thought that reserves were used in order so no reserves should be listed for either semi as they should be allocated at sheffield first and they forfeit their place if they are not available when called upon ? It appears that they may have decided to allocate in order that withdrawals are notified this year.
  11. Everyone moves up and 313 slots in at the back.Unless the rules have changed, F1 have always left gaps in the grid and reserves have been on additional rows at the back.It is in F2 where they make up the grid based on attendees with no gaps in the grid.
  12. Burgoyne not racing F1 at weekend. Booking mix up apparently !!
  13. 483 is definitely in a Newson car but as far as I know he is racing both days. I think 252 actually owns and transports his own car but Newson's team help to look after it at the track.
  14. Booking list for the support formula doesn't really matter anyway !!
  15. Don't think he has a tarmac f2 any more.Would imagine he is probably on a 10 day stand down after cowdenbeath. I am guessing his car will be on track though !
  16. Don't forget they are ex-saloon drivers so it is quite normal for them. Did about 6 meetings each up there in both 2014 and 2015.
  17. Prior to the regular inclusion of support formulas, Keith Barber realised that there was a period of 'downtime' between Heat 3 and the Consolation while drivers repaired their cars (I know some find this hard to believe !!), so he introduced a 'dash' involving the 3 heat winners. The pub beside the Nottingham Road car park was the Half Crown so I assume they were the sponsors on this occasion.
  18. Mick Whiteman was on the Skegness booking list as well. I was only there on Saturday so no idea if he raced Sunday or not. I assume he is related to Clive Whiteman who raced 303/332 in late 70s/early 80s as he is from the same area.
  19. Micro F2 demonstration at 3.30.Ministox at 4.30. F1 at 5.00. According to Steve Rees on Allstox.
  20. Well done to all 3 but especially Matt Barnard. Top 3 in a title race for a blue top is a great result.
  21. Any chance of the results for the f2 big race tonight please ?
