  11. Gearing up for High Octane Season opener for Stox Fans! Sunday March 25th - 1.pm Belle Vue Stadium - Manchester 2012 sees the dawn of a new era for BriSCA Formula 1 Stock Cars - A new 2 year deal for Premier Sports and new season coverage starts right here on 25th March - It also marks the start of the road to Silver and National Series points towards that big Final in November which we are delighted to host again next Autumn at Belle Vue. Once again an excellent fund is in place and one or two tweaks to heighten the drama as the second half of the Shoot Out season unfolds! New cars, a new `world order' of stars and the re-emergence of some older stars including popular York racer Ian Higgins and the amazing Barmy Army' marks a brand new season of the Elite Stock Car class - There's nothin to match the `Power, Glory and spectacle of Unlimited Horsepower American muscle in full contact action - The ground quite literally shakes ! Last year we inaugurated a `Special Race' - The Old Boyz Show us the Money Race! to celebrate Stuart Smith after his untimely passing in late 2010. We have retained the race itself for 2012 and beyond and the `Old Boyz' theme and we have invited several former racing greats as guests together with some rarely seen `proper' Heritage Cars to commemorate what we hope will be an annual - ' Old Fans & drivers Belle Vue re-union' - a time to look back, enjoy today and share and breed the great `friendship' this sport is renowned for! To this end, in conjunction with Kinglsey Thorneycroft we have put together a working display of hitherto rarely seen restored Heritage Cars as per the pictures. The Potent Mix Cronshaw car has been lovingly built as an accurate reconstruction of the original trying to use as many parts as possible. We hope the gentleman himself might just be present. The 252 car looks superb and is only as yet provisional but a full final line up will be announced nearer the time! For BriSCA fans this hopefully will turn into '2012 BriSCA Friendship Day' where past, present and future succesfully comes together. Discount tickets remain available until Sunday 11th March with a saving - after that normal prices apply or simply pay at the gate! check out www.startrax.info for updates

  14. BELLE VUE STADIUM - Manchester - SUNDAY 13th November at 1.30.pm [ Note Race 1 Ministox will be 1.10.pm ] It's here, end of season BriSCA 2011 and we've been saving the best until last! The BriSCA Formula One Stock Car racing HEMT sponsored National Series points Championship reaches it's pulsating climax and never in the history of the competition has so much been at stake. Yorkshire ace Frankie Wainman Junior holds a slender margin lead in the `race for the Silver Roof' and for pride and prestige this is a `must win' scenario for Frank as a matter of honour. In recent weeks the Wainman camp has found new enthusiasm and drive and will be looking to outwit other contenders, Tom Harris, Matt Newson, Dan Johnson and Craig Finnikin not withstanding World Champion Paul Harrison who is motivated for a Gold and silver double and despite a 60 point deficit, remains a mathematical contender. The 2011 qualifcation series has been compelling with `extreme' action in the race for the silver, round after roun has produced `big hits' and 'last neders' in the desperation to outwit their Shoot Out competitors! Never before has so much been at stake at one meeting and double points can see the top 6 completely change. One nail biting, adrenalin packed afternoon that will decide the title! There are terrace predictions of `Armaggedon' `D-D' at Belle Vue - and a fence crews nightmare! Fencemaster Frank Wainman has already been busy depositing replacement posts around the track in readiness for the full on onslaught. BriSCA F1 Stock Cars have produced one of the most spectacular seasons in the sports six decade history, big stars, big cars, ultimate full contact competition. This is the one NO stock car fan wants to miss! Belle Vue is perhaps the trickiest track on the BriSCA tour, tight contours and bends, short track and inescapable full contact, often brutal! We also have the legendary STUART BAMFORTH World Winning Challenger car from the 70's to mark respect for the prestige meeting final, the Stuart Bamforth Memorial Trophy - last won by Frankie Wainman Junior, and one every driver wants to win, particularly at Belle Vue! Supporting BriSCA F1 are the highly rated BriSCA Ministox competing for the SMITH Motorsport and TORCO ADVANCED LUBRICANTS Trophies and we welcome back BriSCA F2 Stock Cars fresh from an epic World of Shale tourney on the 6th for the Startrax Driver of the Year 2011. If all that wasn't enough, we touchingly acknowledge and bid Farewell to two icons of BriSCA Stock Car Racing and both Northernh favourites. Dave Berresford will make his last ever appearance and Belle Vue will be aiming to deliver a huge send off to multiple Champion Andrew Smith as part of an emotionally charged afternoon followed by late bar. Advacne tickets for reserved seats and early admission are available on the online tickets section or you may simply just turn up and pay on the day from 11.45.pm for potentially the `Greatest BriSCA Motorsport Spectacular' in modern times. You are well advised to arrive early and check out the website throughout the week for any updates and river entry lists. 15. HUGE SEND OFF PLANNED AT BELLE VUE's BIG GO SHOW! BELLE VUE SUNDAY 13th November - SEASON BLOCKBUSTER FINALE! For fans of American muscle and BriSCA Formula One Stock Car afficianados there can be but one place to be on the 13th November - Manchesters Belle Vue Stadium when the `Race for the Silver Roof' comes to an end! Current points standings with few rounds remaining before the double points Mancunian thriller suggest a tantalising and nail biting finish! But the afternoon is much more than that - It ends the official 2011 calendar in front of the Premier Sports TV CAMERAS, hopefully on an intriguing high PLUS we say `goodbye' to two icons of the sport. As reported, Tintwistle legend Dave Berresford has one last hurrah competing in the Barr car and will be bidding a nostalgic farewell to race fans from across the decades who are encouraged to show the big man your support - BRING YOUR BANNERS,FLAGS and show your support and create a carnival atmosphere. Manchester will also pay it's own tribute to our own local Peoples Champion Andrew Smith, a young man who has injected so much passion into BriSCA F1 and brought a talent that has won him the heart of thousands of race fans and universal respect. The multi Champion has already announced his `retirement' and promptly won the September 25th feature Final at Belle Vue announcing to the crowd ` this is the last Final I will win here' - 21 days later Smith returned and dominated the opposition to lift the crowd again with obligatory celebratory donuts this time! - Again to announce `THIS' would be his last to a saddened Belle Vue audience however prompting some hope for a last minute hurrah he was heard to comment later `possibly' - a big word leaving some hope for legions of fans that he can be persuaded. News of a potential sale of the car with an offer made at Belle Vue has led to considerable speculation and even we have no idea yet as to the answer as to whether `he will - or he won't' be on track - although there is a suggestion that one of his dads' Veteran Cars could be available!!!! Whatever, it adds to the intrigue and there will be surprise events on the day but perhaps the allure of the STUART BAMFORTH MEMORIAL TROPHY on the feature Final might just persuade him out `for one last blast!' The legendary Bamforth car will be in attendance and spitting life as will a restored Bezzy car and a commemorative event magazine will capture the big day for posterity. There will also be a late bar party to ensure a proper goodbye and a number of veteran guests. What's needed to make this extra special ? - a massive and enthusiastic crowd of race fans from across the decades to combine with us in creating a magical day - and, of course a nail biting end to the 2011 HEMT National Points Shoot Out Championship - unfortunately we can script a lot of the rest, this will be down to the drivers themselves. Wainman, Harrison, Johnson,Newson, Finnikin, Harris to name the elite of the contenders with 3 rounds remaining! Who will it be ? Will it be a White Rose victory in 2011? So much going on, keep an eye on updates but we shan't reveal all the surprises - just bring some Kleenex! Internal Grandstand tickets are already selling fast and advance tickets are selling fast - ONE LUCKY advance ticket holder will be drawn on the day and win a Season ticket for 2012. Grandstand seats are expected to be high demand so don't delay getting yours! Alternatively - you can simply `pay on the gate' from 11.45.am - Support comes with the BriSCA F2 Driver of the Year and Young Guns National Ministox! - And there could be more! Don't miss this Ultimate BigGoShow, this one cannot be repeated! Check online tickets on www.startrax.info NOW - The `REAL' dramas `live' as seen on hit BBC 1 series `GEARS & TEARS' - catch it now for one last time in 2011 in Manchester! There will be give away first come first served colour pictures for the top stars to autograph and much more!

Yorkshire Ace Frankie Wainman Junior goes into this round, one of only four remaining before the `double point' Shoot out Final in November again at Belle Vue, reversing a points deficit into a slender 16 point lead over main challengers Tom Harris, Dan Johnson and Craig Finnikin- the sports Young rising talent. A little further behind is `World Champion' Paul Harrison who slipped at Sheffield and then rising stars Matt Newson and Ryan Harrison. Rochdale duo - The infamous Smith brothers after missing a few meetings now have a mountain to climb which heightens the anticipation for the current cream of the sport, some who feel they could have already one hand on the title. 22. The scene is set for what promises a dramatic World encounter in Manchester, the contrast of shale and rope and post and what is regarded as the lone `proper’ stock car track, the young demons of Harris, Newson, Johnson and Finniking amongst others face the battle of their careers. Add the wild card and very capable entry on row 4 of Mick Sworder who, pit gossip suggests, has secured a loan machine, this will be on paper a race not to be missed, perhaps Manchester’s greatest race yet! An action packed gala presentation includes BriSCA Formula Two Stock Cars and BriSCA Ministox and some notable Scottish entrants including #888 Paul Ford. The meeting will feature a unique twist with a rather explosive `special race - 10 cars - 10 laps! Watch out for more information. With TEAM WAINMAN & TEAM SMITH, John Lund and many others having already confirmed their entry in the support programme races, they will be watching with interest the progress of the extremely `hot talent’ in this title tourney! We are aware that Iain Holden #85 will miss the line up due to holiday commitments however his place has been confirmed and replaced last night by popular Nuneaton driver and true star of BBC TV’s hit Gears & Tears Show, Rob Cowley.
