  6. Thanks to John Abbott for this info. Just a quick update on tickets etc for the next Ipswich meeting from a local. As at the time of this post it seems that Grandstand tickets have sold out but "Standing" tickets are still available. And before anyone asks, yes, you can bring chairs in. A few other things: The local council have insisted that part of the stadium be fenced off for use by (as I understand it) drivers and spectators coming with the drivers. That is basically the terracing around the 1st and 2nd bends. At least that is what has been happening for non F1 meetings so far this year. Please don't ask me why!!!! I know that the spectator limit for speedway meetings at Foxhall has been set at 2000 but I am not aware of the limit for stock car meetings. It is probably the same but I can only say that from my observations the council seem to set tougher restrictions for stock car meetings at Foxhall than they do for speedway so who knows? Also you are allowed to bring in food and drink into the stadium and the catering units are open as well. However, you need to be aware that for some reason the council have banned the sale and consumption of alcohol in the stadium. That means you are not allowed to bring alcohol into the stadium. Again, don't ask me why!!! I was there last night for Legends. Lightning Rods and bangers and despite all the restrictions I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. Having said that though, I am looking forward to the 19th even more. I hope that's helpful John A

  10. UPDATE ON TICKETS 12th & 13th June BriSCA Weekender! As you are aware, we continue to work on restricted capacities until AT LEAST after 21st June. Therefore this weekends 'double header' at Bradford & Sheffield are again restricted - Odsal does have 4 x times capacity to Sheffield which is a positive however, we hope for a sell out at Odsal - Sheffield is curtailed to just under 1000 and numbers are running down for both - but particularly Sheffield - Those in 'driver bubbles' should ensure you get your tickets asap, with Sheffield the lowest availability. F1 & F2 bubbles are 6 per car

  17. Big thanks to Calamity, Nic, and Roy, from me. I was there, but still checked in regularly to see if I'd missed anything. This Essential Info was intended to be just for essential info (hence the name!) but once the season started, discussions started breaking out in it, and the good info was getting lost in the middle of some long threads. So it's been changed so that nobody can post or reply on here apart from those that need to (which obviously includes our Results Team). I've just realised that a side effect of this is that hardly anybody can say thanks for the results after a meeting..... so please comment your appreciation on the 'Bradford Chat' thread instead.
  18. The key points again. Park on the leisure centre opposite the stadium. Opens 2.30pm and costs £5. Limited disabled parking on the front car park. Left at the roundabout, follow the signs. No chairs to be brought it, but there are plenty in the grandstand. Gates open 4pm. For the grandstand, go in Gate 8. For the turns, go in Gate 5 or Gate 6. For the back straight, go in Gate 3. You can leave your zone to go to the toilet. You can't go to other zones. Food and drink supplies are limited so bring your own. (No alcohol or glass) You must wear a mask. Hi-viz jackets are not allowed because they make you look like stadium staff.

WE HAVE WORKED HARD ALL WEEK & GUIDANCE FOR ELITE STADIUMS SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 & 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗨𝗠 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝟯𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘆 Please read carefully to assist access. As we have to limit capacity and divide the stadium into Zones under government guidelines for major event stadiums - it has become necessary to zone the stadium - The most popular area from past experience is the 'Bradford turn' which is split into 2 equal zones. Please study the plan [a few posts up] so you have an idea of where you would like to go before you arrive if at all possible and below are the entrance gates for the zones - all have wheelchair access - Upon arrival, based upon your selection you will receive a wristband for that zone. You should enter at the entrance gate for the zone you wish to watch the meeting from. The map below should assist. WEST ZONE - Back straight ENTRANCE VIA GATE 3 [ front car park area ] 7 zones - 1 - 7 ZONE 1 & 2 reserved for drivers & Mechanics 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - for public access NORTH TERRACE - ENTRANCE VIA GATES 5 / 6 on Rooley avenue Turns 1 / 2 (F1 direction and 3 / 4 bangers) - 2 Zones - for public access MAIN GRANDSTAND ENTRANCE is via Gate 8 on Rooley Avenue Limited Covid capacity 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 There is a council supplied car park in the Richard Dunn’s centre - please be aware this is £5 a car (cash only). 23. Cometh the hour, cometh the man! In around 27 hours the first event in 23 years will get underway. To say that nerves are fraught or stomach's churning would be an understatement- even sheer terrified dread!. If over, after 137 days of what has been a difficult build, at the last hurdle even the weather turned - Danny, Ian and Frank and team are working hard in installing the belting for the pitch protection - a huge job as it is for the first time, not helped by conditions, particularly yesterday - back breaking work but, on schedule to be completed by tonight allowing our top track man to work his magic tomorrow with a dry day forecast! I think, in hindsight, it would have been better waiting to open when we had some normality, managing what we have to manage is a 'first time' for our team also but hopefully together we can make it happen. Like the rest of the team, we are ready to 'drop' - It is brand new as an operation so we don't have all the answers to questions, we will learn week by week as we get more familiar with the surroundings and operation. Thank you
