From Trackstar The big talking point about this weekend’s meeting is whether 515 Frankie Wainman Jr can become the first man to win three consecutive finals at King’s Lynn. Given his form to date, you wouldn’t bet against him. If Wainman can pull off this feat and go in the history books he will be rewarded with an enhanced final winners pot of £1000 - will it be a grand in the hand for Frankie on Saturday? The final will also have enhanced poignency with the Mo Jones Memorial being staged - a race in memory of the popular wife of Pit Marshall Gary Jones which was won last year by 150 Mick Sworder! FWJ’s brother 212 Danny Wainman, with his new car, and son 555 Frankie Wainman Jr Jr will also be targeting success, as will 2016 first-time superstar 445 Nigel Green who clearly means business this year. Other than Wainman, race wins last time out (four weeks ago) went to 280 Colin Nairn, 244 Mick Rogers, 127 Austin Moore – who looked very impressive from the white grade – 198 Nigel Whalley and 446 Joe Booth. All except Moore and Whalley had confirmed their bookings at the time of writing and will be hoping for repeat performances – or better! – this weekend. BriSCA F1 Stock Car superstar 515 Frankie Wainman Jnr will be looking to enter the history books on Saturday 28 May by becoming the first driver to have ever claimed a hat trick of F1 finals in successive meetings. Wainman debuted a new car at our opening meeting which stormed to a heat and final double and he then repeated his final success on 30 April when he took the flag in a breathtaking race where he survived several big hits in the process! No driver has ever won three King's Lynn finals in succession before and there is a very good chance that Frank could enter the history books come 28 May by being the first driver to do so. In the past 288 Simon Panton won both finals at a speedweekend in 2004 before 380 Steve Cayzer won the last final of 2004 and the first of 2005 and 55 Craig Finnikin twice got a brace of final wins in both 2010 and 2012 but in the history of F1 racing at King's Lynn, which can trace its origins back to 1955 when Dereham's Bob Reeve won the first ever final to take place at Saddlebow Road, no driver has ever claimed a hat trick of wins. If Frankie can enter the history books on 28 May he will receive a hat trick winners bonus which will take his final winner's purse up to £1000!
