  2. Re-arranged from 6th October. F1 Shoot Out plus F2 and National Saloons. Ministox 12.30pm
  3. No doubt the F2s at Stoke were great, they usually are. I'd have gone but I'd planned on doing Sheffield Sunday. Realistically I can only manage one meeting per weekend, and as F1 is my main passion then when there's more than one option I pick the F1s every time. I've never been to the BV F2 + fireworks meeting in November in recent years because it's always been F1s at Stoke the night before. Had they been different weekends than I'd do both. Maybe there are a lot of other people in the same boat.

  5. Blimey, you lot are quick off the mark tonight! Give me chance.... That's the list I was sent, I've changed Tom to 1 now. And not being picky, but really, he's still number 84. The World Champion can, if he wants, display number 1 on his car instead of his usual racing number.

  7. SEASON ENDER DOUBLE SILVER SHOOT OUT THRILLER! Let Startrax entertain you as we close out what has been a pivotal year at one of the UK's finest stadiums with superb facilities and one of the toughest, fastest shale ovals in the UK! This coming Sunday 6th October brings down the curtain on a great year and it's almost like saving the best until last! Lining up both BriSCA Race divisions on one day is always a star attraction, combine that with qualifying rounds for the Shoot Out to win the coveted Silver Roof is positively mouth watering! Early interest is encouraging BriSCA F1 wise with World Champion Tom Harris, recently crowned last month at the Norfolk Arena after a faultless driver and heat and final winner last weekend at Emmen in Holland, topping the programme. But the list is certainly salivating! Three other former World Champions which include 'peoples' champion Frankie Wainman Junior, talented Leicestershire ace Nigel Green and shale dominatrix Craig Finnikin ensure 'firepower' ! A welcome entrant is young Charlie Sworder who had the crowd on their feet at the Sheffield Semi-Final meeting with his stunning performance, even more admirable given thus far his shale exposure. Then we have Rotherham flyers, father and son Liam and Mark Gilbank providing local heavyweight interest. Bolton's Lee Fairhurst, Hinckley's Paul Hines, Lancashire's on-fire Will Hunter, man at large Bob Griffin - and that's just the top end with sheer quality in the depth! And then we have 'nemesis' local warrior Dan Johnson. This could well be a fiery shoot-out following Belle Vue several weeks ago and Dan is no slouch around the Owlerton oval. Whilst Tom would like to take bragging right's to the USA where he is establishing a World of Outlaw Sprint career, of the triple, Gold, Silver and British there are at least several other with a different intent and having not bagged Gold, the next best is Silver! We then move onto the Superscreamer BriSCA F2's - always value for money and high speed action at Sheffield - so much so you almost want to close your eyes as they enter the narrow bends 3 abreast! Yet another round of the Shoot out which launched last weekend at Taunton and Bristol where Cornish character Jonathan Palmer took the points chase lead. With the surprise announcement recently that World champion Gordon Moodie and multiple silver winner had decided not to contest this years, it has created a 'while the cat's away the mice will play' and really opened up the competition with a true belief that literal anyone can win it and the 2019 is wide open. It should be intrigue and action all the way with role reversals from tarmac to shale that should see a seismic change in points after the opening rounds on tarmac. Owlerton offers amongst the finest all weather facilities in oval racing including all round covered stands, race view bars, ultra modern, a huge array of quality fast food and the acclaimed restaurant offering VIP treatment and a full race view experience in comfort wining and dining in a relaxed environment as the action unfolds in front of your eyes! Grab the high octane action whilst you can as it's a long Winter before the season starts in late March! Enjoy! 11. I tend to agree that 20ish F1s at Hednesford doesn't really sound all that appealing. But 40ish saloons does.

  15. The Incarace website doesn't say it it is. I'm pretty sure it isn't, because there's 8 remaining rounds which are already known. If this was one of them, then one of the others wouldn't be a round.

  18. THE DAY AFTER THE NIGHT BEFORE at NORTHAMPTON INTERNATIONAL SHALEWAY… Spedeworth Incarace proudly present the traditional end to the World Final Weekend - a day of BriSCA F1 & F2 racing with scores set to be settled from World Final night at the historic Brafield-on-the-Green venue! This year the World Masters lives up to its name as we welcome an incredible influx of international visitors from the Netherlands and even further afield from New Zealand in both formulas. This could also be your first chance to see the new F1 World Champion on track sporting their gold roof after King’s Lynn on Saturday. The 2019 World Masters sees the Shaleway’s biggest BriSCA F1 entry to date, with (at the time of writing) an incredible 100 drivers booked in to race - over half of whom are from Mainland Europe - where shale racing is the preferred surface. Our Dutch visitors always provide entertaining racing and cannot be ruled out of taking the spoils - as has been proven on multiple occasions in the past including last September where lower grader #H79 Lourenz de Vries took the 2018 World Masters back over the North Sea. The V8 engines will rumble, the bumpers will clang and the crowd will cheer as the BriSCA F1 circus completes its headline weekend of the year. BriSCA F2 wise we also welcome drivers from around the globe - with Dutch ace #186 Ricardo Smidt defending the World Masters title. However, drivers from around the country as well as a number of other Dutch and New Zealand competitors will be fighting for the crown. The formula have taken well to the surface and have provided some fantastic racing throughout 2019 their penultimate event of the year at the venue looks as if it will be the same. The formula are also set to compete for their White and Yellow Grade Final - to recognise the lower graders of the sport. This really is a day of racing you do not want to miss, the day is shaping up to be a real, proper ‘old school’ meeting of Stock Car Racing at its best with so many cars and big names. Spedeworth Incarace proudly present the 2019 World Masters at Northampton International Shaleway! Still 101 cars on the booking list as of last night.
  19. Just things based on white bread, then. Think I'll be making the most of the all-you-can-eat breakfast at the Premier Inn. Ta for the info.
  20. Anyone that's been to Northampton this year - can you tell me what food outlets there are? Ta.
  21. I'm currently trying to plan what I'm eating all weekend, so can I ask, are there any additional catering outlets for the weekend, and if so, what are they selling?
  22. I think it means that there's possibly some obstruction in the line of sight between those those rows of seats and some parts of the track. Either some structure in the stadium or part of the grandstand itself or people standing on the terrace in front of the stands. Fair play to Trackstar for realising and coming clean about it. Can't remember which meeting, but years ago I was at Skegness for something major, and the stadium had been decorated with bunting and flags along the top of the catch netting. Looked good, except from a certain point on the terrace, the flags meant you couldn't see half the track.
