Some photos added to the Casserley Bros gallery Me at Baarlo's last ever meeting. I can't remember the date, any one know it? Alan (104) racing against Lambertt keulen (104) in the only F1 stock car World final ever to be held outside the UK, August 1977 Friedhelm Welters borrowing my car at Harringay 1979, European Champs. Welters wrecked the car. but as the meeting was short of Dutch drivers Brisca were desperate to get a few more overseas drivers in the race. I volunteered my car even though Welters is about 2 ft taller than me. As no one else would let thier car be used Welters used mine. On reflection he was way to tall to fit in it!! Some photos of my brother Alan racing at Baarlo in the mid 1970s now added to the Casserley brothers Gallery. Baarlo was a dirt track back then and he raced in pre- Brisca days. great times and the start of my 33 year love of Dutch racing and the dutch people. Got to thank the late Les Suckling, Les Eaton and Spedeworth for setting up the many SCOTA trips to Baarlo. Without them I may never have got so many friends in the Netherlands One of the photos shows Alan being interviewd by Jac van Claas. Another shows that the Rodeo cars raced in the same race as the f1s when the track was dirt. this changed when the track was tarmaced in 1977 and the f1s raced on thier own and the Rodeos had they won races. Shame the Brisca fans never got to see the two racing together it before they were introduced to belatedly Baarlo in 1978! Not sure what the car count will be like, but Northampton always puts on a good meeting. And often when you have the 2/3 system you end up with more cars per race than the traditional heat/consy/final.
