Err, thanks guys butI don't want that kind of log. It would just smoulder and stink the place out!!
-
I know it's nowt to do with racing but if any of you have any logs lying around or will have while season 2007 is on I will gladly take them off your hands if you can't get rid of them, for I can use them for winter fuel and the ones I had have been used up. I can collect from some tracks (not a lorry full lol). Thanks

LOL go on then he, he. Those are the vibrating more modern version of the Jumping Jack Tamper. Staines Bull's decripyion is the one............ If i remember rightly the thing made a sound like a piston firing and leapt to about head high on the operator.Health and safety would have a field day with that now
-
Yes I went on google & put in very combination I could think of & eventually found it's called a 'Jumping Jack'. No pics or any onfo on the internet it seems.
-
Yes thats the one Stanes.
-
Very close Dave but no cigar!! Similar but the one I mean jumped up like Zebidee.
-
Has anyone any Idea what make & what the proper name for the mechanical tool that was used at roadworks during the 60's/70's for compacting down the roadstone before the tarmac was put over the top? It looked a little like a dalek, it had a hand rail round it & a leiver that when pulled up to the handle made the thing leap in the air (a bit like Zebedee)? The modern version is called a 'Whacker' plate.

Computer info/help wanted. For some unknown reason I lost sound from my PC a bit back so I did a system restore and it came back again, the about a week later the sound went again hence another system restore & it came back. The same thing happened this evening. Do I need a new sound card? If I do how is it I get the sound back after doing a system restore? Can someone shed some light on this problem please?
