  7. Over the coming weeks we will be bringing you the chance to get to know the sponsors of the 2019 National Points Championship Shootout. As the sponsor of the 5th round at Skegness Raceway on Sunday, we caught up with Colin North of Teng Tools. How did you become involved in BriSCA F1? I first became involved as a sponsor through Martin Ochiltree at Coventry (where we were sponsoring the speedway team) and FWJ via Conrad Wilson when he was looking for support to do ASCAR racing at Rockingham. Before that I used to go to races as a spectator with my dad back in the 1970's. What does BriSCA F1 mean to you? For me BriSCA F1 is an entertaining form of motorsport with all the action in view and some skillful driving and engineering making the top drivers stand out but where almost any driver can win a race. I think it is a largely under exposed form of motorsport that could be made more popular with increased exposure - ideally with more TV coverage. What does your company offer? We offer drivers support through subsidised prices and a quite considerable amount of free product through vouchers for race winners and championships. How do people get in touch with your company? Easiest way to contact us is on 01525 711500 by email to sales1@tengtools.com or via www.tengtools.com Favourite driver? Too many favourite drivers to list here but any driver that carries the Teng Tools logo on their race car qualifies as a favourite driver for me. Who do you want to win the silver roof? Same for the silver roof - any of the 12 drivers could win it. The top drivers are all closely matched these days although on recent form you would have to say Frankie Wainman Junior or Tom Harris would be favourites.
  8. It's been over 7 weeks since the last National Points Championship Shootout Round at Belle Vue on bank holiday Monday in August due to the unfortunate cancelling of Sheffield last weekend. But.....we are back on the hunt for the silver roof this weekend at Skegness with Round 4 sponsored by J Davidson Scrap Metal Processors and Round 5 sponsored by TengTools. Take a look at the video as a reminder of the movers up and down the chart after Rounds 1 and 2. Here's to a great weekend's racing 👌🏁
  9. This meeting has now been rearranged for Sunday 20th October at 12:30pm at Sheffield. More information here.
  10. Over the the coming weeks we will be bringing you the chance to get to know the sponsors of the 2019 National Points Championship Shootout. As the sponsor of the second round at Belle Vue tomorrow, we caught up with Dave Riley of Trinity Diesels. How did you become involved in BriSCA F1? My father, Keith Riley (323/328) raced and was the winner of 2 Grand Finals and winner of Novice of the Year in 1982. What does BriSCA F1 mean to you? I love it! I couldnt imagine not being involved and I look forward to racing all week, every week. What does your company offer? Trinity Diesels offers Services, MOT's, Aircon Service & Repair, Motability Accredited (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle Repairs). How do people get in touch with your company? You can contact Trinity Diesels on 0161 832 1955 or via email - dave@trinitydiesels.co.uk Favourite driver? My son, Ben, obviously but I dont have another favourite, I like to see all drivers race and do well. Who do you want to win the silver roof ? The one that entertains and puts in some great performances. Who do you think will win the silver roof? Hard to say but I think Mat Newson will win.
  11. Over the the coming weeks we will be bringing you the chance to get to know the sponsors of the 2019 National Points Championship Shootout. As the sponsor of the first round at Birmingham Wheels Raceway this Saturday, we caught up with Keith Barber of Stock Car Magazine. How did you become involved in BriSCA F1? I became involved with BriSCA F1 by being an impressionable 11 year old, too long ago to put a year on it, but it was the Fifties! What does BriSCA F1 mean to you? I value BriSCA name as a guarantee of quality stock car racing. What does your company offer? Information about BriSCA stock car racing in magazine form. How do people get in touch with your company? Via our website http://www.stockcarmagazine.co.uk/ You can also view a selection of videos on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/user/StockCarMagazine And follow us on Facebook below https://www.facebook.com/STOCKCARmagazine/ Favourite driver? All the drivers are my favourites! Who do you want to win the silver roof? The one who offers the most inspirational action in the series as a whole.
  12. BUXTON FACTS Ahead of the second Semi Final today at Buxton we took a look back in the past for some facts around Semi Finals at Buxton. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #2 🌍 Saturday 10th August 2019 @ 6pm Buxton Raceway Dale Head Road Buxton SK17 0RR Sponsored by Victory Lane Awards http://www.victorylaneawards.com/
  13. Mal Brown (34) is a shale racer through and through and his form on the loose stuff in his limited appearances this season gives him a points average similar to that of a red grade driver. Mal comes into this weekend off the back of an excellent outing at Sheffield last weekend where he picked up a 4th in his Heat, 3rd in the Grand Final and victory in the Grand National. This has been his best meeting so far of 2019. Mal's best score in terms of World Championship qualifying points came at Sheffield again back in April. As for tarmac......it's been some time since we saw Mal on tarmac but that is exactly what we will see tomorrow. Expect to see a big push from the rear of the grid as Mal has nothing to lose and everything to gain as he tries to gain a place at the World Championship Final next month on his preferred surface. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #2 🌍 Saturday 10th August 2019 @ 6pm Buxton Raceway Dale Head Road Buxton SK17 0RR Sponsored by Victory Lane Awards http://www.victorylaneawards.com/
  14. Mark Sargent's (326) journey to the World Championship Semi Final has mainly comprised of shale meetings. He picked up a number of wins during the Road to Gold and finished 2018 on a high with a points haul of 24 at the final shale meeting of the season at Belle Vue. He has continued that form into 2019 where he has picked up some more double digit points scores with Stoke in April being his best meeting giving him his highest score of 27 points where he placed 5th in his Heat followed by 2nd in the Grand Final. The 'East Coast Legend' has only had a handful of appearances on the hard stuff this season as he awaited his new tarmac car which finally debuted at Ipswich in June but of the three outings he's had in it, it's only provided a few points so far. As with most new cars, it can take time to get them to where you want them and the 'ECL' will certainly be hoping to have the car dialled in after practice tomorrow and will be on the hunt for that top 10 finish and make it onto the World Championship Final grid come next month at his local track. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #2 🌍 Saturday 10th August 2019 @ 6pm Buxton Raceway Dale Head Road Buxton SK17 0RR Sponsored by Victory Lane Awards http://www.victorylaneawards.com/
  15. Paul Hopkins (278) has not had the best of seasons so far. His best meetings this season have been on shale and came at Mildenhall and Stoke in April where he scored the majority of his points but since then it's been a struggle. Paul's tarmac form hasn't been what he would have liked but engine problems have been a big problem for Paul. He's hoping that his problems are now behind him and is looking to get stuck in tomorrow in his semi final and secure himself a top 10 finish and an all important place on the World Championship Final grid in September. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #2 🌍 Saturday 10th August 2019 @ 6pm Buxton Raceway Dale Head Road Buxton SK17 0RR
  16. Jake Harrhy (345) had an excellent start on his Road to Gold. His form over the World Championship qualifying rounds at the back end of the 2018 season meant he picked up 111 points before the 2019 season had even begun. This included a Grand Final win at Belle Vue in November. Since then, things haven't quite gone to plan for varying reasons as he has only picked up 5 World Championship qualifying points since the start of the 2019 season but his form from last season means he is the highest placed yellow graded driver on the semi final grids with a place on the inside of row 6. Jake is ready to get stuck in on Saturday at Buxton Raceway in a bid to qualify for his first World Championship Final at his first attempt. He is certainly well placed to achieve this and with his troubles behind him, he is looking forward to the challenge. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #2 🌍 Saturday 10th August 2019 @ 6pm Buxton Raceway Dale Head Road Buxton SK17 0RR
  17. We currently have one of the girls taking her place on the World Championship Final grid in September but could we have a second this weekend? Courtney Witts (180) has attended 4 meetings this season and finds herself with a points average similar to those in the Superstar grade. Prior to this season Courtney had only raced the odd meeting in F1's since retiring at the age of 16 after an impressive career in National Ministox. Obviously progressing from Ministox to an F1 is such a huge leap but Courtney took it in her stride and this season's results show just how capable a driver she is. In her first meeting of the season at the Skegness weekend in May, racing a car from the J Davidson stable, she picked up a win in her very first Heat followed by a 5th in the Grand Final and the following day she picked up a 7th and 3rd in her Heats, and 11th in the Grand Final and victory in the final race of the weekend, the Grand National. Of her two following meetings she picked up a 3rd in the Consolation and 6th in a Grand National at Buxton and a 2nd in a Heat and 10th in the Grand National at the British Championship meeting at Hednesford. Courtney will have her work cut out to qualify with many more experienced drivers on the grid but she is being tipped by many to make the top 10 and take her place on the grid come September. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #2 🌍 Saturday 10th August 2019 @ 6pm Buxton Raceway Dale Head Road Buxton SK17 0RR
  18. The only white grade driver to make the grid! Sam Jacklin (137), by his own admission, has had a terrible year so far having scored 22 points from the 8 meetings attended. All of those points were gained at the last qualifying round at the end of June at Belle Vue, which was enough to secure him a place on the grid. Sam gained his points by taking victory in a Heat and followed that up with a 5th place in the Grand National. Talk about leaving it late! Sam does have some experience of tarmac racing this season having raced at the Skegness weekend in May. Sam has a lot of work to do if he is to qualify from his Semi Final. He is racing his shale car against a lot of tarmac cars that will take the grid on Saturday but Sam will be giving it his all in an effort to make the World Championship Final grid in September. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #2 🌍 Saturday 10th August 2019 @ 6pm Buxton Raceway Dale Head Road Buxton SK17 0RR
  19. Jack France (216) is a regular racer on shale racer but he ventured out on to the hard stuff at the July Skegness weekend in a car borrowed from Dave Dorans (366). Although Jack didn't feature in the results on the Saturday he had a change of luck on the Sunday. Jack picked up a 9th in his Heat which was followed by 3rd in the Grand Final and capping off the day with a Grand National victory. Jack is clearly capable of getting good results in the borrowed car but this time he will be coming from the back of the grid and knows it will be a tough race. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #2 🌍 Saturday 10th August 2019 @ 6pm Buxton Raceway Dale Head Road Buxton SK17 0RR
  20. After a number of inquiries into the Semi Final result yesterday, the result has been amended. Full result is as follows: Top 10 qualify for the World Championship Final 84, 217, 16, 4, 20, 313, 152, 101, 346, 211, 463, 526
  21. Karl Roberts (313) is full of confidence heading into the semi final tomorrow and it's easy to see why. Although Karl started the season with two non point scoring meetings he has been on form on the loose stuff as of late which included a number of high placed finishes but it was the Heat and Grand Final win at Belle Vue at the end of June that will be the high point of his season so far. Karl is more than capable on shale and will be looking to advance to the World Championship Final in September. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #1 🌍 Sunday 4th August 2019 @ 12:30pm Owlerton Stadium Penistone Road Owlerton Sheffield S6 2DE Sponsored by Andrew's Coaches & Tours www.andrews-of-tideswell.co.uk
  22. Although he only races for fun these days, Daz Kitson (532) is in the semi final and will be hoping that he can come through unscathed to secure a top 10 finish to qualify for September's World Championship Final which will be a first in his BriSCA F1 career. Daz's tarmac form has been similar to his shale form this season and he was able to pick up a 5th and 6th place finish in races at Sheffield earlier this season. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #1 🌍 Sunday 4th August 2019 @ 12:30pm Owlerton Stadium Penistone Road Owlerton Sheffield S6 2DE Sponsored by Andrew's Coaches & Tours www.andrews-of-tideswell.co.uk
  23. SHEFFIELD FACTS Ahead of the first Semi Final tomorrow at Sheffield we took a look back in the past for some facts around Semi Finals at Sheffield. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #1 🌍 Sunday 4th August 2019 @ 12:30pm Owlerton Stadium Penistone Road Owlerton Sheffield S6 2DE Sponsored by Andrew's Coaches & Tours www.andrews-of-tideswell.co.uk
  24. Russell Cooper (415) is looking forward to the World Championship Semi Final at Sheffield on Sunday. Russell knows that this track takes no prisoners and one false move could mean game over but that could play into Russell's hands. Russell's shale form has been better than his tarmac form so far this season having picked up good places in a number of races, including a race win in the Whites and Yellows race at Kings Lynn at the end of May. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #1 🌍 Sunday 4th August 2019 @ 12:30pm Owlerton Stadium Penistone Road Owlerton Sheffield S6 2DE Sponsored by Andrew's Coaches & Tours www.andrews-of-tideswell.co.uk
  25. Joe Nickolls (242) has been working hard in the garage for the last few weeks on his multi surface car in anticipation of the Semi Final at Sheffield. Joe has qualified on row 5 for the Semi Final having scored well across the qualifying rounds. This included a first ever Final win at the Buxton double points round. Hopefully all the work will pay off and Joe can qualify for his first ever World Championship at his first attempt. 🌍 World Championship Semi Final #1 🌍 Sunday 4th August 2019 @ 12:30pm Owlerton Stadium Penistone Road Owlerton Sheffield S6 2DE Sponsored by Andrew's Coaches & Tours www.andrews-of-tideswell.co.uk
