  1. Team Fairhurst 2013 Calendars, These calendars are normally just produced for the team and sponsors etc, but before I place the order I have decided to offer these to the general public as well this year as Lee's popularity has gone up since September when he apparently won some big race ! The calendar features 23 pictures taken during the 2012 season and includes pictures of both Lee, Derek and the team taken at the Birmingham test day, Birmingham, Skegness UK Open weekend, NIR European, Venray, WF at Skegness, Coventry Gold top parade etc. All pictures by myself, CSC Photography with the exception of two pictures from Paul Tully Photography and one from Marvin Hall Motorsport Photography, but used with their permission and blessing. The calendar pages measure 11 " x 8.5 " or 11" x 17" deep when open and hung on the wall. Cost of the calendar is £10 but I need to know if you want one before Sunday when I will be placing the order for the calendars. I can deliver them to the Gala Meeting at Birmingham Wheels in November or can alternatively post them out at an extra cost. After that they may be available again but the price is a lot more as this batch is being ordered on a special offer that expires on Monday. Please message me via stoxnet or e mail at csc24@blueyonder.co.uk Alternatively I will be at Kings Lynn tomorrow and can be found wearing a yellow hi viz jacket with Lee's F1 embroidered on the back and Stock Car Magazine logo on the front along with CSC Photography.
  2. Looking good ! A Lee Fairhurst design would be nice to see.
  3. Since 1999 my family has had an allocation for a pair of race tickets for the August NASCAR night races at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, USA. The tickets are for the Friday night Nationwide series race and for the Saturday night Nextel / Sprint Cup Series race. Once again due to alternative holiday plans next year, both my father and I have decided to skip another year of attending the races in 2012. However we also don't want to give up our annual allocation for the tickets as they are very hard to come by and we probably wouldn't get them again if we gave up the allocation this year. In order to keep the allocation on the tickets for future years we need to renew the allocation on 17th November, so only a few days off. So I have decided to post on the forums to see if there is anybody who would like to purchase the tickets from us and attend the best NASCAR race on the circuit in August. If anyone is interested, we can renew and keep the allocation for future years and then post on the tickets to whoever wants them as and when Bristol sends them out to us or pass them on in person at a meeting during the season. Details Nascar Nationwide Series , Food City 250 – Friday 24th August 2012, Allison grandstand, Section E, Row 24, Seats 1 & 2 Nascar Sprint Cup Series, IRWIN Tools 500, (Night race) – Saturday 25th August 2012, Allison grandstand, Section E, Row 26, Seats 1 & 2 These seats are isle seats, right on the end of the row so you have easy access to the steps to go and visit the concession stands and toilets etc. They are located at a great level that affords a fantastic view of all the action on the track and are located 2 blocks past the start / finish flag stand on the front straight. The cost of the tickets (which is face value plus a couple of quid to cover credit card exchange rates) is $345 in total. That's for two tickets for the 250 lap Nationwide race and two tickets for the 500 lap Cup race. Both are night races, but there is also Cup and Nationwide qualifying during the day on the Friday. There is also a double header race on Wednesday 22nd August if you fancy more racing, which features a late afternoon 150 lap Whelen Modified race followed by a 200 Lap Nascar Camping World Truck series race under the lights in the evening. These tickets aren't included but can be purchased on the day at the track for a very reasonable $35 each. There is nothing on at the track on the Thursday in between, but there is a Family Race Night on the streets of downtown Bristol which is well worth attending which has show cars, live bands, driver appearances and autograph sessions and free food sampling, although you do have to pay about $6 admission which goes to local charities. In the evening all the Cup team transporters parade through the town in convoy on the way down to the speedway. We can certainly advise or help anyone with accommodation for the trip and can recommend staying at a local home for the event with race lodgings which is what we do each year. If you wish to stay in a local home which is only 8 miles from the track (about 15 min drive after the race) we can put you in touch with the family that we always stay with, who are very friendly and have a very nice large outdoor heated swimming pool which you can also use during your stay. Flights, you really have two options for which airport to fly into for Bristol, either Knoxville TN, which is the closest major airport about 2 hours away or Charlotte NC, which is about a 4 – 5 hour drive away from Bristol but is a better option as there are plenty of racing related places to visit in the area and most teams welcome visitors to their race shops. So there it is, if anyone is interested, please PM me or e mail me at csc24@blueyonder.co.uk, but we need to know by Thursday 17th November if anyone would like to use the tickets this year so that my dad can accept or decline the tickets by the deadline. If you want more information or help in order to make a decision, please don't hesitate to ask. In order to make an informed decision below are a few ideas of costs involved for a week, as flights are quite expensive as its during summer holiday time in the UK. Flights from Manchester - Charlotte , NC are at present around £588 - £730 depending on the airline you choose. Flights from London - Charlotte are around £565 - £630 return. Race lodging accomodation is roughly $150 a night at the place we stay and this is about the average rate for accomodation in the area for race weekend. You can pay this and more for hotels and still be 40 miles away from the track. So budget on around $450 for a 3 night stay, or $600 for 4 nights. Car rental and other hotels for the rest of the trip are of course going to be extra but at normal prices. Regards Chris Clark
  4. One pic on shale at Coventry which is a bit dirty and a clean picture from Hednesford.
  5. I may be wrong, but speaking to Andy Smith today, I wouldn't count on him being at Kings Lynn tomorrow even though Jessica has said she would like to race. He's still a little worse for ware after his hard impact with the wall and the back of Frankie's car at Skegness. The doctor has prescribed rest and pain killers but as he told me , how is he supposed to rest when he has a business to run.
  6. I think the point has been missed here, this design isn't available to anyone else but Stu 1 who put in alot of his time and effort to create a t shirt for his own personal use / wear that shows his appreciation for his racing hero. Everybody remembers their heros in their own different ways, and you can not stop someone printing a t shirt to remember them by if they so chose to do so. I am remembering Stuart by placing a laminated artwork in my car window with a coloured in graphic of his cars. I also have pictures up at work. Everyone is entitled to remember Stuart by whatever means they see fit.
  7. Done just that Roy and ordered a t shirt last night. The personalisation function is great and I did add not just the world Championship years but also all the other titles on the back. This is what I came up with. Look forward to it arriving. £21.89 for front and back print with postage and VAT.
  8. OK, due to some unforeseen work commitments for the person that was going to use the tickets this year, the tickets are now available again, so if you were thinking about it before, then please get in touch if you are still interested. The tickets have been ordered and paid for from Bristol now. Thanks Regards Chris
  9. Been contacted today and the tickets are now spoken for. Thanks

  11. Are they a front print design. Or are these printed on the back of the shirt ? Thanks
  12. Anyone who may find themselves in the Southport or general North West area on Saturday or Sunday might be interested to know that there will be a big stock car display at this weekend's huge Woodvale Rally & Transport Festival in Southport. The stock car stand has been arranged by BriSCA F1 Heritage team, with the intention of setting up a 'pits scene' on a 40 x 50 mtr plot. To date there are at least 15 Heritage cars scheduled to appear, along with their various coaches and transporters plus a few suprises ....!! Additionally, the event organisers asked if some modern oval race cars could be brought in to compliment the display, so there will be a selection of other various oval racing cars on hand too. The Woodvale Rally is a high profile event, probably one of the biggest of it's kind on the annual 'show calendar', with hundreds of classic cars, wagons, buses, coaches, motor cycles, custom cars, military and RAF displays, a big autojumble, a vehicle restoration 'workshop' and plenty of trade stands. All the other usual attractions are there too such as a fun fair, motor cycle stunt show and large selection of kids events. The organisers are expecting in excess of 50,000 visitors over the two days, and with 'Gears & Tears' successfully hitting the air this week, it should be another good platform to promote the sport to a wider audience. Due to damage at Buxton and other personal changes, there are still a four available spaces for either Heritage or 'modern' cars for the display, so if there's anyone out there who'd possibly like to join the fun please PM Chris24 or Kinglsey who will pass the message on. www.woodvale-rally.org.uk Many Thanks to all. George Rimmer (on behalf of BriSCA Heritage).
  13. Is there anyone in the North West area that is travelling down to the Autosport show next Saturday and staying for the 18.00 hrs Oval Racing show in the live action arena and that has a spare seat available in their car for the journey. I have decided to bite the bullet and pay full price and go, but only if I can share travel costs with someone otherwise its going to cost too much if I go down there on my own. PM me if you can help. Thanks Regards Chris
