The cloud of smoke that came from the car on Saturday looked expensive.
Hope Joff can make it out on track soon.

Booking list good, weather forecast good, can't wait !,

Ryan may not be interested in the shootout. Bias towards shale so probably going to struggle to stay in contention?

Does any one know if John Lund will be at Ipswich ??? I know he's not race this year for some reason (which I am not asking why)but a world final with out lundy would not be the same!!!
I doubt John will be a Ipswich. He isn't on the booking list and tar hasn't been his preferred surface for some time.

Shale car now coach. Is Neil retiring or just having a clearout?

Oh really ...
As if drivers havent enough expense this time of the season..
And the way a lot of folk are moaning about the wf entrance fee there's no way they can afford 2 more meetings..
The primary reason for a meeting would be for overseas drivers to get some practice on the same surface as the worl final. It needn't be a big meeting and perhaps the F1 could just be support to other formula with a low key meeting. If non WF drivers want to race they can. If fans want to turn up they can. No one is forcing anyone to do more meetings but merely giving opportunity to those that have flown half way round the world to get in some race practice.

Shame there is no meeting this weekend so the kiwis can get some race practice in seeing as though they have come so far.

Thanks in advance for the results. Not sure if it's shootout round 3?

So bit confused. Says on startrax website format is
W&y ht 1
Then 2 further heats final national. So how are cars split for the other 2 hts. Surely if 40 cars it's too many for 2/3 and should be w&y as separate race at start (similar to how k.l do it ) then 2 hts consi final national.
Anyone know ?
Does it matter? Turn up at 3.15, settle down and enjoy the racing.
40 cars should be good.

Hopefully mid 30s come the end of the week and two heat format. Good to see 313 booked after a while away.
Shame local reds 21 2 and 25 aren't listed.
Would be great to see 94 and 53 added......

2 heats plus semi on Startrax website. Still provisional and just about right provided we get all turning up.
Looking forward to Saturday, should be a great meeting.

Having had the pleasure of seeing Stuart the driver and many of his triumphs, I get to read about Stuart the man and what a great read it was!
Congratulations to Stuart Milnes for this book, it's excellent and covers the highs and lows of The Maestros life very well. Many humorous stories are told of incidents back in the day and life after stock cars is covered with sensitivity, the final few pages being particularly emotional.
A huge thanks to SSJ and Andy for letting us into their fathers world and for the many friends of Stuart who contributed to the book.
Buy it and read the story of a true legend.

New toilet block built this year on 1st bend replacing old block. Normally half a dozen portaloos nearby as well. Outside cover if it rains, inside limited raceview bar and all round good view of the track.
Think 1965. Stadium VERY basic, track VERY rough, makes for decent racing. Toilets disgraceful. Starts 4:30 finishes 9:30 ! ! !Think 1975 . Stadium basic , track bit rough and ready which makes for GREAT racing.
Better facilities than Euro and masters venue NIR, Birmingham, Buxton and second best tack in terms of action.
Finishes 9.30 so home in good time.
Get yourself there Will. You won't regret it!
Looking forward to some more dates next year and continued improvements

Bought it yesterday. Only had time for a quick flick through it so far, but it looks good.
Same here, had a quick flick through and read a few pages when the hair dryers were on yesterday. Looks good and from what I read yesterday will be a very good read.
Well done to Stu Milnes and all involved, and great to see Stuart Smith Jnr signing books about his dad whilst sitting on the old Wildcat car. Smithy was a true legend!

Luke may have withdrown from the semi last year as the WF race was again on shale?. With this years being at Ipswich he may just turn up for the semi in the hope that he gets a decent grid position knowing that he can make progress at Ipswich where it suits his driving skills on tar.
The shale semi potentially has everything going for it and if scores are being settled should be an explosive race.

I doubt Speaky will race the semi. He has retired and if he got through to the WF at the expense of a regular active driver it would cause a bad taste. Being a promoter I can't see him wanting to do that.

John hasn't packed in but obviously has more important priorities at the moment than racing.
Johns retirement will be not far of and maybe plans should be made for a testimonial fitting for Sir John before he is allowed to fade away. When it happens it will be a meeting to remember.

Looks likely that 212 and 16 will overtake Stu on points leaving him a second row start. Sure he will be very pleased with that.

Well done to Mr Rees for the enhanced prize money. Looking forward to a good turnout on Sunday and this will only help.
Hoping that Mr Dowson will make his season debut and with a bit of a run could scrape into a semi?

Looking forward to this one after today's events.
If it is the V8 Euros it's a shame they can't be given a couple more races and drop the Modifieds.

Thanks for the results (from sunny Rome)

If the promoter was promoting he would be filling this site with information to tempt us to go.

Says it all.
